Oh heck yeah! My kids (read father in law) got me one of those for Father’s Day last year. Made walking the course more enjoyable

@Rob Person I play the SIM2 MAX 9* , I cut it down if I remember correctly 1 1/4 inches from the butt end only, also added a counter balance weight of 30grams to the butt end, tightened my dispersion and gained a few yards. I love it

 

 

I also bought some new iron covers, found these to be the best ones, no club chatter and prevents dings very well. They are a small company I came across a few years ago.

Has anyone picked up the new PXG Black Ops driver? Watching the TXG driver bracket videos on YouTube. It looks like an accurate beast!

I forgot to mention on my previous post - I also bought a new golf bag. I got the Ogio Woode 15 cart bag. I’ve only taken it out once so far but it seems great. Definite upgrade to my old bag. I usually walk and it fits pretty well on my cart.

Yes and I love it. I have the standard and they are doing the tour in the bracket challenge. I previously gamed the 0311 Gen 5XF and the black ops is miles better. I’m currently writing an unofficial review on it. I think PXG has found something here that can play with the big boys

I’ll 2nd checking Dicks/Golf Galaxy. Found a mint LTDx 105. That I lowered to 9* there last weekend in mint condition for $139. Global Golf and other stores have them at $190 still. Some of the demo clubs are priced a bit high but trade ins there you can really score some solid deals on

Yeah looks great and he hits it well I cannot hit Cobra woods at all but it sure looks great. They tend to punish low on the face hits and my normal strike is a bit low

It really looks that way. I am intrigued and will continue watch the TXG driver bracket to see if it wins. It blew the Ping out of the water.

I really enjoy their videos but Ian has such a good repeatable swing so I take that for what it’s worth. But this driver is the best one I’ve ever hit. PXG is going the black ops challenge right so it’s a free fitting

Well, in a completely different post I was talking about different irons. I went and hit the Mizuno 225’s, Taylormade P790’s, and Srixon ZX5’s. Was not impressed with the Srixon irons for some reason. With how the Taylormade and Mizuno irons felt I knew I was torn between them. I left where I had hit those and started home and decided to stop in at the golf Store in Yorktown. They had a brand new plastic still on the irons 225’s. I bit the bullet and traded my PXG irons in for the 225’s. I won’t be buying any sort of irons for a good while now. Wedges, maybe we will talk

I hit the PXG Black Ops and like every other PXG club I've ever hit I loathed the thing my numbers didn't come close and when you look at the robot testing the Ping destroyed it. I like the Ping alot but along with almost all but robot testing it's a personal prefernce

The other issue with this review is that exact take that it had "Blown the PING out of the water" when the data with one guys swing actually was quite close but I will refer to the amount of unpaid guys on tour hitting the G430 MAX 10K VS the "thing that blew it out of the water" I wonder why the numbers for the PING on tour are so lopsided if this PXG is so great????

I’ve been to the Williamsburg store a couple times, the Yorktown one is 5 minutes from my house and on the way home from work…bad combination.  The Yorktown store got much bigger when they relocated.

That Hosel adjustment looks easy to see what your selecting Loft wise, I think more should follow that technology.
