GolfSpy_BNG
Well I’m still loving the autoflex shaft I’m gaming but today while doing some heating and cooling installation at my local guys spot, he mentions to me that autoflex is now available in black and yellow instead of pink. KC Golf
So after a Titleist fitting for a TSR and some time demoing it on a GC Quad on range mode and on a couple of courses (over the last week and a half), I am down to two drivers. TSR3 vs TSR4. I got fitted to a Graphite Design Tour AD 6S and the numbers look great with an 9 deg head on both. It’s also set at C2 vs A1 which the fitter advised and it works better for me GC numbers wise for dispersion and distance. Definitely 15 yards of total distance better than my TSi3 in my current bag, The spin numbers are slightly lower on the TSR 4 and more optimal for distance, but it seems like the TSR 3 is more forgiving. So really a bit of a toss up. Thinking in real world conditions, that going with something that’s slightly more forgiving with a bit more spin may be better vs the extra 7-10 yards of carry. Would love some thoughts if people have any… it’s so hard to decide. richk9holes
No longer thinking about Japanese wedges. Have played well in my short game with 45-52-56° wedges recently I think I can settle on having a large loft gap between clubs I don't use for full swings. Thoughts are now on the top of the bag. I have put some heavy use on my 5h and Callaway keeps lowering the price on Rogue ST pro hybrids. Ultimately I think Paradym is the way to go if I'm going to get a new 4h to replace the 5h. I will be patient, for now. cksurfdude 1 Quote Finding a way to turn birdies into bogeys since 1992. #TeamChunks '23 Forum Tester: Elixir Golf Ball WITB:TS2 10.5° @ 11.25° Tensei blue AV 55 R graph•917f2 15° @ 16.5° Diamana blue x5ct dialed 70 R graph•Stealth 22° Ventus red 6 (non-velo) R graph• 699u 2i 17° tgi 70 R graph•24° Tour v 90 black pvd R steel•699 6i-PW Tour 110 black pvd R steel• SM8 50°/08° @ 52°/10° SM8 stock steel• Jaws Full Toe 56°/12° DG Spinner TI steel • c series DW 2.0 slant neck stock steel•Phantom 2 gps•Tour v3 rangefinder•Elixir golf ball•

Titleist87
Need to move to graphite regular irons due to a back issue. I could reshaft my Apex Edge Pros which I love and are certainly playable. But what fun would that be to only buy new shafts? Narrowed it down to The Maltby Forged TE or the Takomo 101T. The Macgregor MT-86 OS are somewhat in the picture but not like the others. DiscipleofPenick
Last year was new driver and putter. I think irons are going to be next. I still Titleist 714s in the bag so it may be about time to upgrade those. I'm still playing a fair amount, so I still like to stick with a true players iron. Saw this sub70 pro (16*) at 2nd swing in better than average condition with the proper shaft and took a chance and am glad I did. Laser rockets! Sub70 is a cool company. I've got one of their putters and really like it. Their customer support is great. StrokerAce, Hobert and cksurfdude

Can’t say for certain that it is anything more than nostalgia for Burner driver with the ti bubble shaft I played as a teenager. Something about it is definitely intriguing though Update: I tried one out today. It was fun to hit. However, I’m not sure where it would fit into my bag. By design, it isn’t long enough to overtake the driver and it is harder to hit off the deck than the 3w. There are a couple of shots it would be ideal for, but for the price I can’t see it. Cgturf95
I’ve been looking into getting new irons as I’m still playing my custom fit Nike Pro Combos I got back in 2014. I’ve had my eye on the Haywood MB’s primarily due to the variety of optional specs I can have them built to without breaking the bank. Reviews I’ve read state they play pretty similar to that of the Titleist 770’s. If anyone has any insight or other better options I’m all ears! I used an older set of p770’s a couple years back for a couple of months but they were stock off the shelf and couldn’t work the ball how I wanted to but I loved the feel of them throughout the swing cksurfdude and GolfSpy_BEN 2 Quote Driver: Ping g400 w/ proforce v2 stiff 3-wood: Nike Vapor w/Diamana stiff Driving iron: Titleist u510 w/ hazardous smoke stiff irons 4-pw: Nike vapor pro combos w/ dg pro x100 50 degree wedge: Cleveland cg10 54 & 58 degree wedge: Titleist voley sm5 putter: odyssey white hot rx

If you don’t have a fitter with Haywood clubs in your area. You could try their 7 iron program. I bought a 7 Haywood CB iron spec’ed with one of their upcharge graphite shafts and the exact grip (I use) to try it out. It’s very good, I like the look and the feel of it. If you like it you can then order the rest of the set from Haywood. When I first got serious about golf, I carried a 4 wood with 16.5 degrees of loft. It was a TaylorMade V Steel and I loved that thing. I love my Cobra 3 wood, but if I go to 4 wood loft it closes the face. What fairways out there are you people liking that are 3HL or 4 wood? I've seen TaylorMade and Callaway with those options, any other good ones that people are liking? Was also gonna mention Sub 70 - lotta positive reviews on the FWs and irons - but maybe also look at the Tour Edge Exotics line.
