Welcome Aboard, I too have a bad back.  The doctor prescribed Hydrocodone until the back is bad enough for surgery, lol.  I have degenerative arthritis in the lower two vertebrae so I have a year or so before he will fix it (I hope).

I'm only 46, but have suffered with back pain all my life.

 

My advice would be yoga - nothing crazy, just a simple routine that you can search on google. And a short, simple swing - thinking Charlie Hoffman or Hideki Matsuyama...

I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis in my lower back.  That was 10 years ago, and I still take hydrocodone before each round of golf.
