Ok, ok, enuff about the sad state of the east…bears,lions, packers… they all stink, well, except the Lions, who might be alright…

now for the real teams, headed for the playoffs , are in the nfc west, and depending on the 49ers QB, they will be in.

but the really sneaky scary team is obviously the Seahawks. May I remind you, they had a very good offense last year, with a terrible defense. Well they made some very good moves, and have had 2 absolutely fantastic drafts. Plus they’re getting a few star players returning from big injuries on the defensive side.

now the defense was basically ranked 30th last year, and they have really shored things up, to where they can potentially have a drastic improvement and even if they only move up to 20th, that will result in many more opportunities for the offense, and let me be the first to warn you, this offense is way more dangerous than last year, when they were ranked 11th.

the offensive line continues to improve with their rookie bookend tackles having a full year now under their belts, along with a new center, and a few monstrous new rookies just waiting to get in there, Geno Smith and the best backup QB in the league in Drew Lock, two more scary RB’s to compliment K9, DK and Lockett, 3 fantasticTight ends, and then the cherry on top of it all.

Jackson Smith Njigba. Learn this name now, as it will soon be well known by all of you. This guy turns the WR room into the scariest group in the league. He isn’t the speed demon, nor the beast the DK is. He is just the smoothest route runner who just gets open every play, and catches every ball period. He is going to be the rookie of the year easy. Oh, and I would be remiss to not mention my favorite dark horse to make the team, Jake Bobo, from UCLA. Just a great football player at 6’-4” WR. Another chain mover.

Been supporting the team since 75. Got to go to the first game at the KDome, and many after at both stadiums. I think you may very well be correct, much will depend on if Geno keeps up the good decision making, he had some moments, especially down the stretch last season that were less than stellar, but I think he will be fine. Hopeful for the D, just got back Brooks, not sure on time for Adams, but he is critical. Kind of excited to see the effect that Bobby will have on the team, he was a big part in so many ways other than between just physical play. And I LOVE Njigba, I think he makes a huge difference. If you are right on Bobo, gonna be fun to watch and impossible to slow down. Top 5-10 O and Top half D should be a great recipe for success.

Well said newbie, and welcome to the site. Just heard njigba had a minor wrist surgery today from the last preseason game, and should be good to go soon, hopefully by opener.

A quick Google search shows 3 music videos he posted to youtube '23 calendar year. Supposed to be practicing football, bummy bum bum bum.

1-0!  The draft picks they got this year in the Stafford trade (Gibbs, Laporta) made big contributions. And Branch was a second rounder this year.  Oh, they got that throw-in of a QB they (Rams) didn’t want named Goff. They also got Jameson Williams last year but he is sitting 6 games out because of gambling, but he won’t play much when he does come back.

It was clear how much Kelce means to the Chiefs. In crunch time, Mahomes didn’t look as comfortable going to other guys as much as he does to Kelce. I think that was the difference maker in this game.

KC did miss on a couple of plays, and Lion's played solid, smart football.

Good game that could have went either way actually. Living in Detroit my whole life, it finally may be time that the new regime is putting together a real culture and team.

Great game and also a life long lions fan.  Lions offense was very sloppy.  They had their drops (3rd &3 comes to mind), false start, tripping, delay of game, 2 fumbles in a row that killed what looked like a sure scoring drive. The defense played their hearts out and Goff has incredible composure and surrounded by weapons. Lost track how many times Hutchinson was held or tackled.

Yeah. The new additions on Defense are paying off. Last year they were 3rd to last in points allowed. They could score a lot, but hard to consistently win games 40-36. Holding the Chiefs to 20, was a good start for that defense, even with the caveat that Kelce was out. They look better in that regard. If they can give up about 4-5 fewer points per game than last year, they will have a great season. (from a Bills fan).

A lot apparently.

The play calling for the Chiefs was atrocious. Seems like every play 15 was running around trying to find someone open and then deciding to just run on his own. I'm not sure even TK would have helped. Nagy couldn't get it done with the Bears yet he's running the offense of a SB favorite? I know, I know, Andy Reid calls a lot of the plays but the plays were garbage.

Chiefs have big big problems on their O line. 
Seems like every. single. play. Hutchinson hit the QB. They couldn't stop him.

If this team is being favored to win another ship they have got a LOT of work to do.

And Taylor lining up in the back field with about 15 false starts couldn’t stop Hutch.
