Mr. 82
Well, I'm in Florida, and I absolutely think fall is the best time of year for golf. About the time the calendar turns to October we finally get a reprieve from 90+ degrees and it's actually semi-comfortable on the course and walking is an option where you won't die sweating out your entire body liquid in 3 holes. tehuti and revkev 2 Quote G400 Driver XR 4 Fairway 16.5° Fli-Hi Utility Iron - 21° G Series 5-9 irons SM7 46°, 50°, 54° & 58° Ghost Spider S putter Nexus Laser Rangefinder Garmin Approach S20 GPS

mpatrickriley
In addition to the pros already mentioned (best weather, beautiful colorful backdrops), I'd add this: fall rates! This is the time of year I'm willing to stray from my home course and play courses that, during the summer months, cost more than I'm willing to spend on a round. I'd also add one other con to fall golf, in addition to losing balls under leaves: our course sprouts hundreds of golf-ball-sized mushrooms this time of year. So you end up with this sequence: hit ball into field of leaves, hunt for the ball, spot your "ball," realize you got tricked by a stupid mushroom, blow up the mushroom with your club. srooch2, ole gray, Har in the Hat and 2 others 5 Quote TS3 9.5°, Tensei Blue CBX E722 16.5°, Tensei AV RAW Blue 65 S Epic Super Hybrid 19°, Aerotech Steel Fiber FC HYB S C722 22°, Ventus Blue 8S CBX Iron-Wood 25°, Project X HZRDUS Black 6.0 Epic Forged 7 27° 639 CB, Aldila NV 95 Graphite, 7–PW Diamond Tour Inazone 3.0 50°, 54°, 58°, Aldila NV 95 Graphite DF3, Counterbalanced 37", TPT shaft, Garsen Quad Tour 17" Full WITB with pictures
