I finally posted my review.  This was a very cool experience for me, many thanks to MyGolf Spy for giving me the opportunity.  I'll be sure to update this with my experiences in Palm Springs in January, and going on into next season.

I've tried one a few times when I've been at the store - the all black draws my attention to it - they are really cool looking.  Not sure on the grip though.  have always liked the feel off the face.  I could easily game one.  Well priced too!

I just realized that I've not come back to tell of my Palm Springs experiences with the Frontline.  We had a  nice get-away from pretty chilly Virginia weather, staying with a friend who spends the winter at his second home, in La Quinta.  We played 6 rounds of golf:  Silverrock, Desert Willow Firecliff, Silverrock, Classic Club, Rams Hill, and La Quinta Dunes Course.  I kept Strokes Gaines stats for putting, and the trend I originally reported held up.  Overall, I was losing about 2.5 strokes per round, as compared to the PGA averages.  Most of the strokes lost came from 15 feet and longer.  That means that for make-able putts, I was making a reasonable percentage, but I was three-putting too often on longer putts.  Hitting my line was apparently reasonably solid, distance control was the problem.  The difficulty in assessing the putter's role in this is the same difficulty I had from my play in Pinehurst.  Each round was on different greens, greens that I'm not particularly familiar with, greens that ran at slightly different speeds each day.   Was my distance control issue an issue with inconsistent speed off the putter, or my inability to adjust my stroke?  I just don't know.  In a month or so, maybe a little less, I'll be back to playing regularly on greens that I do know well, hopefully I'll be able to answer the question better then.

I was in Palm Springs back in January but didn't get to play golf.

I feel the same way about my Frontline experience.  Distance control is off.  I had lots of 3-putts with it from distances I had no business 3-putting from.  As you said though, how do we determine if it is us or the putter?

My plan is to use the putter on my home greens, as well as to use my old (real old!) putter as well, perhaps alternating weeks.  Comparing stats with the two different putters on familiar greens and conditions I understand should give some pretty good feedback.  The only problem is that we're still a few weeks away from real golf season.

Still a long way from golf up here, but my Frontline Elevado is starting the season as my first putter off the bench if my Indianapolis starts acting up. I built a second DIY Stroke Lab shaft and put on a P2 Classic grip, and I'm really liking the look, feel, and (indoor) performance so far:

Coming back for another report.  As of now, I'm back to my old Ping G5i B60.  In the final analysis, I believe it gives me better overall distance control.  I also think that the thing that attracted me to the Cero was the extended alignment lines, but at the end of the day I found them to be a little distracting.

I went back to my Ping Sigma 2 Tyne 4 as well.  Just didn't end up seeing the benefits claimed by Cleveland with the Frontline as being large enough for me to justify a switch.

So I’m putting the Frontline Elevado back in play. I like that the sight line is at the same height as the ball. I took it to practice with tonight and liked what I saw, so it’s earned another shot.

I have not specifically tested side by side on short breaking putts. You’ve intrigued me though and I’ll give it a shot.
