jayjay0808
One of the drivers I was keeping an eye on was the TR20 460. I have the TW747 in the bag for a bit and it performed very well, however up against a new Speedzone fully custom fit I think the shaft characteristics were slightly off. They now openly offer both the FD and FP shafts as options. Were the testers able to put those options in play? Maybe they've adjusted this year's model as I can't say I have hit it. Certainly not surprised by the Ping getting top honors with Callaway trailing. This quarantine has me considering picking up a used Ping LST as I've wanted one since the G model but just have not pulled the trigger. I was fit at a demo day early last year for fun, but had just picked up a TS3 a month or two prior. I've had the same experience with Cobra Drivers. I always felt like I was hitting the ball really hard but the consistency wasn't there. Depending if they have your specs, 2nd Swing Golf has a few 410s left for fairly cheap and I'm sure more of the older models. I used to be a general fitter at a Golf Superstore and the Ping driver was always the winner when it came to the average golfer. I'm thinking of picking one up myself. There are people who will play nothing but Titleist and will live and die by their products. How do you like the TS3?

The face is a bit more of a straight line so it gives me more confidence because it looks like it's lined up very square to the target. If I take my time and put a good swing on it, I have been able to do a good job keeping it in play, which is huge for me. Still some inconsistencies, but that's definitely more me than the club. I know that it's currently fitted properly from my trip to Club Champion about 1 1/2 ago. I did try the G400 at that point, but since they did not have moveable weight at the time, it just was not as consistent as the TS3 for me. I probably could go the lead tape or hot melt route and it would have been fine, but I didn't try that. Having tried both the F9 and the Speedzone before purchasing the later, I can truly say the difference is in the new face design. Both are about the same distance wise but the wraparound face on the Speedzone gives it much tighter dispersion than F9. Thus more forgiving. Just my experience.
