Absolutely, you can get 15% of you use code BE15 from Sean Ogle at Breaking Eighty. Alternatively I’ve sent Arccos a request for discount for previous link owners. Not sure if it will work, but it never hurts to ask. What’s the worst they can say, No.

@Cfhandyman NIce, the net cost is $132.49.  My renewal is May, so I hope more discounts will come.

I received a reply from Arccos regarding a discount for the Link Pro for existing Link owners and this is what they said  “During the initial launch of the Pro, Management does not want to issue discounts due to the demand for the product. Once it has hit market for a while it is highly likely we will give assistance to current members/users that want the device.”  So short answer is most likely, but not during launch phase of the product. In the meantime  you can get 15% of you use code BE15 from Sean Ogle at Breaking Eighty if you want to purchase now. Hope that helps people.

Makes sense. Companies want to fulfill their unit sales goals on their new products unless they have Apple's market cap, brand loyalty, and followers. Thanks for the update.

Mine arrived yesterday and I was able to get a round in with it today.  It paired with my phone very quickly and the yardage updates seem much faster than when just using my watch.

As hoped, I was able to hand off GPS and shot detection from my watch to the Link Pro and just use my watch for yardages.  No problems with battery making it easily thru the round on either my watch or my phone.

After going thru the round after I got home I only found one approach shot that it missed not including putts.  That's about the same as with my Apple watch.

One thing I haven't figured out is the pin position button.  On mine the "click" of the button is almost imperceptible.  I'm not sure how you check to see if it pin position was actually marked.

All in all I'm very happy so far.

Just curious, is the GPS any more accurate than the Apple Watch?  Is the putt tracking accuracy any better than the Apple Watch?  How about GPS on greens.  Is that any better as well?

I don’t have any data to back it up but it does seem to me that it is more accurate and certainly faster.
Putt and shot tracking is at least as good as my Apple Watch was.

If I had an Apple Watch Ultra or maybe even a Series 9 I probably wouldn’t have purchased the Link Pro but the battery of my series 6 Watch just couldn’t make a whole round anymore so it was either upgrade  my watch or give the new Link a try.

I upgraded my Apple Watch to the latest series 8 last year. Mine was about 4 years old though and the battery barely made it past the front nine. Ha ha.
After ⅔ of a season of using for golf 2-3x per week (mostly just 9-hole rounds) I the watch is making it through 18 holes with some battery left, but not all that much.
in hindsight I should have gone for the ultra and I will probably have to upgrade after this season. I’m hoping it will be fine for this year at least.
I turn 50 this year and I’m close to needing reading glasses, so the bigger screen on the ultra might be needed soon anyway. Ha ha.

The Watch 7 series barely gets through 18 holes, but sometimes I switch to the iPhone on the last couple of holes.  I enjoy the watch app features AI yardages, pin set, and shot detection, and that benefits the watch better than the Link Pro users.

For reference, my Apple Watch SE (the very base model) can barely get through 9 holes, so for an 18-hole round I typically use my Link.

Ran into an interesting issue on Saturday though where I went into a cedar hedge looking for my ball, and realized 20 yards down the fairway that my Link wasn't on my belt anymore. Spent about 10 minutes looking for it and couldn't find it, so finished the round and went back to look more. The phone app has a "Find My Link" feature which shows the last place it shared it's location with your phone, and I was able to narrow the search down by starting a new round on my phone and walking up and down the hedge until it showed that my Link was connected via Bluetooth. However, there is no way to use the app to get the Link to make a sound. Ended up finding it after another 10 minutes of searching, but it seems like that would be a useful feature that would be pretty easy to implement.

You can't beat the cost and convenience of the Link Pro, but Apple users gain getter utility with a new watch edition without cellular.  I guess I will wait until my watch can't last an entire round.

Saw this today.  Arccos Pro Insights!

Not sure what the upcharge is, but curious to see if MGS will test it.  Or let one or two of us test it for fun.

I will say the technology has come a long way. I used Arccos a couple of years ago before they upgraded their Apple watch capabilities and its lightyears better now. Also allows me to listen to music while using Arccos which was a big gripe I had in the earlier versions without an apple watch. I don't see any reason for me to get a Link with the current capabilities. That being said battery power is a big concern which is why I decided to splurge on the Ultra.

I've used Arccos for approximately 9 months with my iPhone and Apple Watch. I set the phone for detection as I have no issues having a phone in my pocket whilst playing (I already did before Arccos came along).

I only glance at the watch for yardages and mark the pin location.

If had to list 3 'things' which have helped keep me at a single figure handicap for the past year, they'd be:

1. lessons
2. replacing long/mid irons with 7 wood and hybrids
3. the info/data that Arccos produces

Yes, there is the odd missed shot, the odd weird shot that you didn't take that needs deleting. BUT...the data and feedback you get FAR outweighs these niggles in my opinion. Being able to plot your SG progress vs a target handicap (6.0 in my case) is absolute gold, though repeatedly getting kicked in the nuts re: being 40 yards shorter off the tee than a 6.0 hcap ain't fun (DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT THEN! I know...I know). Yeah, the yardages don't lie, they're brutal, but it's better to know how far you hit it regularly and go off that than use that one you hit downwind in the height of summer a few seasons back!

It also stops you assuming/guessing what you are good/bad at. For example (and like someone else earlier in the thread) pre-Arccos I was constantly labelling myself as a terrible putter. Arccos has shown me that is simply not the case; in fact I am regularly gaining 2.0 strokes on a 6.0 hcap (which I will hand back off the tee...).

I'm up for renewal in the summer and I won't hesitate to stump up for another year.

Bag full of mostly PING, apart from Cleveland CBX wedges..I need all the help I can get!

Has anyone had success getting a response from Arccos customer service?  My Link stopped working and its been more than week since I called and sent an email with no response.

It seems shady to me that there is no way to cancel the subscription on the website, you have to send them an email requesting the cancelation and I haven't gotten a response to that in 2 days either.

I’ve always had good response from emailing them.  Both when I cancelled and restarted my subscription.

Arccos set arrived today… got an email for a “free” set of sensors after my fitting at Club Champion. I get a 45 day trial, so wanted to see if generally speaking everyone finds the data to be useful? What’s the best way to get started?

If you follow this thread as well as the 2 sets of Arccos tester reviews, I think you will get a good sense about the value of Arccos data for your game.

Hope you enjoy it.  Unless you have quite a few rounds in 45 days, the data may be hard to discern without at least 15-20 rounds.

Thanks @KC Golf

may get 10 rounds in 45 days, that would be on the high side though. I’ll probably just do the year subscription and see how it goes.

Good luck with Arccos.  Let us know how it goes.   The Apple Watch works well with the sensors.

I found a new discount code for a renewal subscription, PIMENTO50, for a net $105.88!

Thank goodness the Arccos has a "find my Link" feature, but I wish I'd known about it before walking the last 4 holes before giving up! Fortunately the app showed right where it was last connected and it was still there a couple of hours later. I'm going to have to come up with a better plan to make sure that doesn't happen again, but it has been tracking my shots over the three rounds so far.

I renewed for another year of Arccos.

One of my issues is that my Arccos Super Stroke putter session died within 9 months which I think is not great.

A few other sensors are wonky after one year on my club end sensors too.
