Sounds like following/administering the Ai-One testing is getting you eager to give them a shot. Wise move to be sure. 😎

Its a blessing and a curse…

I almost went that direction myself. Reminded me a little bit of the Ping B60 my grandpa had a long time ago. Can't say I'm displeased with the choice I made however.

Safe in my bag - Sub70 005 Wide Blade, Callaway Rogue ST Pro irons. I've never seen anyone else playing these irons but they have worked well for me and will play at least one more year

On the chopping block - Ping G400 driver has been a favorite for years but need to get into new technology. Even my wife, who doesn't golf, says I need a new driver so that really tells me something!

Sub70 putter, Taylormade wedges, Callaway Rogue ST Pro irons, and Ping drive and hybrids

Let’s be honest, nothing is ever “safe”…..but the New Levels 902 OS, 5 and 7 woods and the PXG wedges are staying.  Driver is good but it’s driver….the LAB putter and the Paradym 3 wood are on shaky ground!

Gear and stat junkie!

I have a few clubs on the block potentially.
My Cobra LTx LS has been an absolute 🚀 but on days where my swing isn’t at its best something more forgiving could be nice. I struggle with too much spin which puts me in low spin heads which typically aren’t forgiving but I’m intrigued by some of these new releases.

My wedges are also potentially on the way out. Currently I have a 50,54,58. Thinking about going 50, 55, and 60 as I would like to have a little better gapping. My 58 goes 120 which is a little further than I’d like on my highest lofted club. Ideally I’d have that around 100-110 because I just don’t have the skill to take off 10-20 yards on a mostly full swing.

outside of that, yeah mostly the shaft. My eye likes single bends, and I seem to putt well with slight toe hang putters.

an Ai-One milled SIX T is also on my short list.

That would be a good choice!

LOL what is safe in my bag. This topic makes me giggle. NOTHING is safe in my bag. I am waiting on my new irons as I type this response. They should be here on Monday. I am reviewing drivers and can't wait to take a ride down the the PGA Superstore. I also have several options in my garage. I am following several shaft companies. I am reviewing my putting stats, hitting the sim, losing weight, reviewing golf balls, and any other product in my bag. I think my hybrids are close to getting scalped. I do love my BRNR mini driver, so that club is not on a hot seat. My putter has been good to me over the last 2 years, but I do like going to the PGA Superstore to try the new putter line ups. So I guess my BRNR is the safest, then my putter, then my driver.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Paradym driver was about to get the boot but I’ve come around to it, and have played quite well with it recently. I’ve also had a good experience with the Chrome Soft balls as well.

My Stealth irons and wedges are causing some heart burn at the moment, but it’s all self-inflicted. Trying to convince myself (and my wife) to ditch the irons for a fitting of the Mk II.

the only club in the bag that’s truly on the chopping block is the putter. I struggle with it, and contribute it to being a blade, as I’ve felt way more confident with a mallet when I borrow my buddies.

Driver: Callaway Paradym w/ Project X Hzrdus Black 60

Love seeing the wild turkey on the list. Now that is probably the most accurate statement someone has made on this forum.

Fun Fact a buddy of mine keeps four minis of some fancy whiskey that I can’t remember in his bag at all times just in case he ever gets a hole in one to share with the group.

Everyone stinks, yes even the pros. Have fun

The only thing on the block is the Cleveland Launcher, a 15 degree fairway machine.  I bought it used for $10.00 (I do love the used club market - kinda fun to play around with stuff) because it had a shaft that I wanted to try.  I've never hit particularly well or consistently and thus have scheduled a fitting to acquire a true, good for me, fairway wood.  Once that's in the bag the Launcher is out.

In response to @GolfSpy_APH, no new additions... but statuses of clubs have changed 😅

Putter, wedges, and irons are now safe!

The top of the bag however needs work: 7-wood, 3-utility, 3-wood, and driver. All of these clubs have had their moments for me, but hoping to find more consistent setups with gapping that makes more sense.

  • Safe: Wedges, irons, and 3-wood
    • Doing their jobs
  • Almost Safe: 3-utility
    • Needs more practice, but also pretty versatile getting out of the woods
  • ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK: Putter, 7-wood, and driver
    • Rotating between two putters, practicing more but maybe that magic putter is out there...
    • Have completely fallen out of love with the 7-wood, always left machine, out of the bag completely
    • Driver is a liability, want to try trimming the shaft before I'm done with it

What’s safe in the bag? My New Level irons. My putter. My TaylorMade BRNR. What’s not safe? My hybrids and my golf balls. They’re already gone. What’s on the block? Maybe my driver. It’s older but it’s hard to get rid of a Ping 410 LST. It’s the best driver I’ve ever had.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

As it stands I’ve got 13 clubs in the bag. I think the only question mark in my bag lies between my 3-wood and 5-utility. Part of me wants to work in a 3-utility and another part wants me to try out a different hybrid. And then there’s a chance it might end up being 5-wood.

I’ve got choices and time.

Might end up having to eat the cost ( both in money and from the wife person ) on the Edison’s…Since, I went specialized shafting on them it was made prefectly clear to me that there would be NO returning them. They swing great, look great, but there is NO spark going on between us. Not sure that even with outside relationship therapy that we will ever really  consummated  our relationship. Going to go to the extreme and increase the lie significantly on the 49° and 55°. The 59° is a total basket case, not sure what help if any there is for the 59°. Might look up an old flame wedge or look at another of the newer hotter influencer wedges… The putter may need to be put in a nursing facility. It has been around for at least four presidential administrations… Not even sure where to start searching in “ PutterLand “ for that elusive magical flat stick.

According to my wife, everything is safe…she would throw a fit if another long/skinny box showed up at the front door!

I would tend to say the majority of my bag is safe…starting to like my U510 again (we didn’t get along for a while, but coming back around).  Irons/wedges/3W/putter are definitely safe.

The prospect of a new driver intrigues me, but haven’t seen much gain from the new releases I’ve hit so far.

I feel good with where my bag is at now, but always am drawn to new driver releases. Looking forward to Titleist's release later this year as my current gamer is the TSi3 and being a couple cycles old at this point, maybe some gains could be had there!

The staff slack begs to differ…😂

3 wood got replaced today with the Paradym TD 3 wood.  Wedges are up for adoption.  Everything else is safe. May decide to buy a Srixon driving iron but don't necessarily need it. Oh and another non need is wanting to try out a broomstick.
