Popular Post William P
Good Thursday morning Spies! Enjoying another cup of coffee and a couple of the CEO's sausage biscuits as usual this morning before heading out to the course for the weekly senior battle... Will miss the community call this afternoon as I will be assisting (her term) the CEO in setting up her booth for this weekend's craft show/fair. While she calls it "assist" a better term for it would be "forced labor." Will just have to watch the recorded call after Jamie, @GolfSpy_APH, posts it. Beautiful pictures @Northern Monkey! @slash25rc, Good to hear that the situation is improving although slowly. Safe travels today @Erin B and enjoy your time in Austin and golf with @Josh Parker! Popular Post braincramp
Morning everyone. So today will be another day of watching the "crew" from Feldco fix the shoddy work the first crew did a couple of years ago. They sent a "crew" out Tuesday morning of 3 people of which only one did the work. His helpers held down the siding and picked up trash that was blowing all over from the 20 mph winds. Since only one of them spoke a little English I was glad I had a translation app on my phone. Supposed to come back with a full crew today to finish the bigger part of the job of removing all the siding from the garage side of the house and re-nailing it since the first crew missed the studs on about 1/3 of the wall. Popular Post cksurfdude
Happy Thursday!! Partly cloud and cool here .. really heading into Fall weather. Almost .. still shorts and a polo for me while I can! Watched "The Big Lebowski" last night - what a classic and what a great cast of characters. Seems like most of you know most of the lines, so we don't need to go there! Maybe a little golf action later; some practice time and maybe get a few holes in if the course isn't too crowded. Cannot join the Forum C.C. later, wife's older son and his significantother coming over for happy hour and dinner. Will have to catch up on a replay another time. Have a most excellent Pre-Friday!!! Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning all and happy Thursday! It was a WILD night of baseball last night, as my Brewers needed a win to avoid a Wild Card series sweep and boy did they make it exciting. Jackson Chourio, the 20 year old phenom rookie outfielder, hit not one but TWO home runs. He is the youngest player to ever have a multi-home run game in Brewers history. He hit a leadoff shot in the 1st inning, and then tied the game in the 8th with his second, which eventually led to Garrett Mitchell's two run tie breaking bomb in the same inning. Mitchell is my oldest son's favorite player, so that made it even better. I was looking at tickets for tonight's game, but he has come down with a nasty cold. I'm hoping I can maybe take him to a game in the NLDS if the crew can win again tonight. Got some more on course practice in with the new GT3 driver and hit a personal best BOMB of a drive on hole one. It was pushing into the evening and I knew I wouldn't get many driver holes played, so I played from the blues. This was my result on the first tee box The black shadow line is the exact line my ball took. When I hit it, I was expecting to be somewhere down by those trees on the left. With any other driver I've used on that hole, I've never cleared that tree line from those tees. I was thrilled to see it in the middle of the fairway. Even with distance adjusted for wind, it was still a 300 yard drive on Arccos! You can follow along with my testing at the link below. I've just added an update to my testing post! Popular Post Shrek74
Good morning, Spies!! Happy Almost Friday. It's Friday for me, as I'm taking tomorrow off and hopefully playing some golf. I made it to my sister's last night, but I ended up driving all the way through without stopping (5.25 hrs). So I didn't eat anything from about 2pm on. I think my body wasn't happy about that this morning, as I'm not feeling 100% yet. We'll see how the day goes if my body adjusts back to normal. Excited to play tomorrow, as it's been a few weeks thanks to various weather issues the past month or so. But it's supposed to be clear, sunny, and a high of 80. So we should be good for a nice day out with a 10am tee time. Well, back to work. Everyone have a fantastic Almost Friday!! Popular Post jbern
Good morning! Yesterday was an awesome day of golf for me! I played an 18 Wolf match against my playing partners and basically had it won by hole 10. They didn’t have their A games, so pars were winning just about every hole. Then in the evening, my kids really wanted to go golfing, so the whole family went to the nearest driving range! Lots of laughter and fun, which is all that matters to them! Popular Post Puente37
Good morning, spies! Another beautiful day ahead. No golf for me today, though—I'll be spending it with my two daughters. Reflecting on yesterday's round, I can't help but think about the penalties I handed out to myself, along with those frustrating 3-putts from long and short distances. Still, I feel like I’m on the verge of playing better than I ever have. On the plus side, my drives are improving, and I’m hitting more fairways. My second shots after a good drive aren’t getting shanked, and my approach strategy is becoming clearer as I get more familiar with the yardages for each club. I’ve also been working on relaxing my shoulders to putt with purpose, and I’m getting better at moving on from one hole to the next, focusing on the present instead of worrying about messing up after a great shot. Feels like I’m getting closer to that breakthrough! ejgaudette, rkj427, RickM71 and 17 others 19 1 Quote Committed to excellence

Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Well the Wild Bunch game ran okay. Only had a couple of issues trying to explain the game. We were way short of players, only 10, but that meant less time wasted on explanations. One of the players is really starting to have cognitive issues and his partner (we played 2 man teams) was livid at the end of the round. He felt he should not have to babysit during his round, and I have to agree. He ended up in last place and I do not believe he will play with his partner again. No golf for me today, I am not fond of the short course, every driving range for 20 miles in any direction is closed for overseeding. I hate this time of year. It is like the month between the 15th of May and the 15th of June in Alaska. Waters are free of ice, the bears are not out yet, and the trout are stupid hungry. Popular Post RichL85
Good Thursday morning to everyone. Typical Thursday morning of meeting after meeting after meeting. The majority of which could realistically be dealt with through a handful of Teams messages, but let's spend an hour listening to people talk instead. Still pushing low 100s here, which is a bit different than the mid 70s we were experiencing just a few hours south last week. Probably no golf today between meetings and the kids have their scheduled dentist checkup in the afternoon. Tomorrow I should be able to get some LM time scheduled to start doing some more comparisons with the GT3's. Probably going to mostly dive into the fairways since we didn't have as much time for them during the fitting, but first reactions from yesterday were pretty amazing, especially from the 5 wood. Work is starting to pick up the travel needs again, with a couple week long trips planned for October or November, and December already, so that will be something that my wife and I have to figure out with regards to handling child care. We are still adjusting to the fact that we don't have my FIL around to take care of the kids while we are at work, and me being out of town for a week is going to require some serious advance planning on our part. If only the kids were a little older, they could probably manage by themselves until my wife got home, but they are still a little young for us to trust them with that. There's also word of a potential trip to Australia next year around May. Would be my first time to Australia, so that would be something new for me, but again, added stress around the house for my wife. I don't mind the occasional travel for my job, but there are definitely times I feel guilty about how much it places on my wife. It's starting to hit a little harder now when I think she doesn't have family with her to help out too. Maybe something for me to think about for the future. tdc1, Cfhandyman, Northern Monkey and 11 others 14 Quote Driver: Titleist GT3 w/ GD Tour AD VF 6S (Testing in progress) 3 & 5 Woods: Titleist GT3 w/ GD Tour AD VF 7S (Testing in progress) Hybrids: 19 and 22 degree PXG 0317XF Gen 4 w/ Project X Evenflow Riptide 80g Irons: 5-PW PXG 0311P Gen 4 w/ KBS Tour 120 Wedges: Indi 50 FLX, 54 FLX, 58 ATK w/ KBS Wedge 610 (Official Review) Putter: PXG Battle Ready Blackjack, 36.5”, Double Bend neck Titleist GT Long Game Testing
Popular Post RickM71
Beautiful fall weather here in the Midwest but I haven't found time to get onto the course the past few weeks. Trying to figure out a break this weekend to play a round. I have been able to hit at the range with the kids weekly, which is a really good alternative. cksurfdude, sirchunksalot, Lefty11 and 10 others 13 Quote Rick Driver: Callaway Ai Smoke TD 10.5 Denali Black 60 Stiff 3 Wood: Cobra Aerojet 15 Kai'li Blue 60 Stiff 3 Hybrid: Cobra Aerojet 19 KBS PGI 85 Stiff 5 Hybrid - Mizuno 220 ST-X 220 Aldila Ascent 50 Stiff 6 Hybrid - Mizuno 220 ST-X 220 Tensei CK Blue 70 Stiff Irons 5-Gap: Mizuno JPX 923 Forged, Recoil SW 780 Stiff Wedges: Cleveland RTX3 V-MG Cavity Back 50 turned to 52 and 56/11 Putter: Odyssey 2 Ball

Potentially, it would mean taking our kids out of school for two weeks though. From what I hear, the locations where I would be visiting for work are not exactly the most exciting spots, so that may be an issue during the week. ejgaudette, Cfhandyman, Rickp and 7 others 10 Quote Driver: Titleist GT3 w/ GD Tour AD VF 6S (Testing in progress) 3 & 5 Woods: Titleist GT3 w/ GD Tour AD VF 7S (Testing in progress) Hybrids: 19 and 22 degree PXG 0317XF Gen 4 w/ Project X Evenflow Riptide 80g Irons: 5-PW PXG 0311P Gen 4 w/ KBS Tour 120 Wedges: Indi 50 FLX, 54 FLX, 58 ATK w/ KBS Wedge 610 (Official Review) Putter: PXG Battle Ready Blackjack, 36.5”, Double Bend neck Titleist GT Long Game Testing

Full day of work related items so that I can be clear for the community call this afternoon. No golf today as I will be playing the next couple with @Erin B. Have a great day everyone! 6 hours ago, William P said: Good Thursday morning Spies! Everyone have a great day! 5 hours ago, rkj427 said: Good morning Spies on this sunny but cool Community Call Thursday morning here. @slash25rc glad to read that things have improved slightly there for you and your family, and hoping that the rest of that area gets all the help and support needed to have some assemblance of normalcy restored. Safe travels @Erin B, have fun with @Josh Parker in Austin. Safe travels to @Byrnzee and looking forward to seeing the Prague pictures from @Northern Monkey. I will more than likely miss the call today, golfing about 12:00PM and more than likely will be just finishing when the call is on. Hope all here have the best day they possibly can, and that something enjoyable is in your plans. 3 hours ago, Lefty11 said: Good morning, Spies! I hope you’re enjoying your trip. 3 hours ago, Josh Parker said: Should be a fun couple of days. I have @Erin B playing my home track and then we are playing a great track called star ranch. 2 hours ago, IndyBonzo said: Good morning Spies! Have a great time @Erin B and @Josh Parker! We expect pics and stories. @slash25rc have been following along, and glad to hear things are improving for you. Stay safe and best of luck to you and your family. @Northern Monkey you go to all the coolest places! Nice photos. Want any pics from Indiana? It's gorgeous in places, to be sure, but not quite the same as what you have been seeing! Work will keep me away from the community call but I will be there in spirit. Will try to watch the replay. Maybe range time on the way home for me . . . I wish you all outstanding days! Made it to Austin and we were starving so we stopped at Jasmine’s to have some Mexican food! Highly recommend!
