Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! I am going to buck the crowd and tell all that today will be hot and sunny! Temps will crest 90 this afternoon so I expect the guys to get my solar panels up quickly (so I can have my driveway back!). Plus we don't expect rain until the monsoons start in July! Ooooo I like the club building opportunity! It is so much fun to play the clubs you have built, and if you play well it is hard not to strut around! Kind of like catching a nice trout on a fly rod you have built. Nobody cares, but what a personal accomplishment! 16 minutes ago, William P said: No golf on the agenda today but looking forward to much needed driver lesson tomorrow afternoon. I know its golf, but I still don't understand how a strength can become a major weakness so fast...? It is probably a tiny thing that you have gotten into the habit of doing. Pain (not saying you had any) can write a swing change habit in less than a round that can be minuscule, impossible to feel or notice without help, and very detrimental to good play. Stay very positive, ignore bad shots, celebrate good shots, and that tiny swing change will be fixed in very short order. You are a good experienced golfer and this is much more of a brain thing than a body thing. I've played The Cradle, the 9-hole par 3 layout at Pinehurst, four times this year, and it has brought my HI down by a stroke and a half (which tells me my issue is with every club longer than an 8-iron, and if I could read those greens, my score would have been even better). I think numbers HI will be much more volatile early this year. Due to the April 1-October 31 season here some of my 2023 rounds are still being used. Once those are off the books I’ll have a clearer sense of where I stand and how things are going. Popular Post Wheelieb
Morning All, Well yesterday was a bit of a bummer. Got stuck on I-64 for 4 and a half hours due to the Semi Truck being on fire. They finally started re-routing everyone and by that time my work called and said don't even worry about coming in. So that was a plus. I was able to get out for 18 holes instead and shot an 88 which was a bigger plus. Got home and started getting our drain that goes under our driveway cleaned out so water flows through better and got a call from Elite Fundraising Solutions. They are the ones that do the Heroes events at courses, and they also own Krank golf. Interesting conversation as I decided to put my first application in for when I retire and he was more than willing to get me on that "team" to start. Problem being, it's all commissioned based income. I'll save the details here, if you want to know more what they do you can message me and I will spill it out. While on the call the wife got home, the previous night our favorite hen was acting strange, she went and checked on her because we quarantined her just in case. Unfortunately she passed while we were at work. We are pretty sure she was either egg bound or had vent gleet, both can be fatal to the hen if not caught soon enough. So our night was a little bit of a bummer night. This morning got up and saw that I had a pretty decent deposit into my account that I had been waiting on, I'll save why I got that money, and I didn't have to deal with 4+ hours of traffic again. So today is starting good. Going to pick up another 1 or 2 chickens the wife wanted from a lady to give our little rooster a girlfriend or 2. When I say little, he may weigh a grand total of maybe 2 pounds if that and won't get any bigger. So the chickens I am getting are going to be the same size as him. Hope everyone has a great day. Popular Post tdroma98
Good Morning Spies, I've tried posting two other times this morning from my phone & showed it "submitted" however, nothing appears. Hmm wonder where it posted? LOL, maybe to another Forum Had a 7am tee time and walked 18 holes. Beautiful Central Florida morning, 66 degrees, a bit of a cloud cover which made the morning walk comfortable. I did not play too well, just a lot of distractions this morning. Trying to upload a photo but getting a couple of error messages. Started working from home this afternoon, on my 4th cup of espresso of the day. I think maybe I should go back to bed and get up in time for the Community Call? Happy Birthday @GolfSpy SAM ! Have a Great Day Everyone!! Hit'em Straight! Popular Post EMacK1961
Good morning all. A bit of a mixed bag in Baja, California this morning. It appears like our usual "May Gray" has set in early. The marine layer that comes in every morning is usually burned off by the afternoon yielding temps in the 60's. That's when I'm teeing off today. I usually golf at 8am when the temps are in the upper 40's/low 50's so this will be a welcome change. I've got a board meeting of the La Sociedad de Amigos this morning thus necessitating the afternoon tee time. Have a good end of the week out there. If your plans for the weekend include golf, hopefully your weather will be nice and you hit 'em straight and long. Take care spies. Popular Post RichL85
My father-in-law had one of those sit-down moments with my wife and I this morning after the kids went to school. He's been having a lot of problems with his back for the past few months but he's also the type to not really keep anyone in the loop as far as what's going on. Today he told us that they had found a small lump on his right lung back in November around the size of a dime. A recent x-ray last month showed that it has grown to about the size of a quarter. They don't know what it is, so he's waiting on approval and scheduling to have another test done for more information, but in the meantime, that lump is basically pushing on his shoulder.
