Popular Post RoverRick
Good Morning. So that’s what this thread is about? All the early risers chatting. I’m not really an early riser. I haven’t really risen, but I’m up every morning about 2 to check on my drivers. I had 23 trucks I manage. About 10 of them start their day at 10pm. About 10 start their day at 2am. And 3 run 24/7 for 4 weeks at a time and off for a week. I spend my days and nights keeping t everything running smoothly. Tonight, I was all excited with my LAB Golf putter order and fitting so I didn’t get to sleep until after 10. Then got a phone call at 11 and dealt with that for an hour. Then at 1, I got a call telling me that was fixed and was a computer error. Then since it was Wednesday and payroll day I got woke up at 2 with the payroll info. Then I did that until now. So I’m about to go back to sleep until 8 and then work until 11 and then go play golf. Most of my night work is done via text and emails and only have to get out of bed to talk on the phone. During the days, I actually leave the hours and deal with truck maintenance 3 days a week. I don’t actually do the maintenance, but just getting them where they need to be is a chore. Since I keep a window on my iPad open to MGS, I’m not sure if it accurately reflects when I’m on line. cnosil, sirchunksalot, GolfSpy_KFT and 8 others 11 Quote G430LST 10.5° on T P T POWER 18 Hi Driver G430MAX 3W on T P T POWER 18 Hi Fairway G425 3H on T P T POWER 18 Hi Hybrid iCrossover 4 on Graphite Design AD DI 7S i525 5-U on TGI 90S SM8 54 & 60 on Wedge DF2.1 on White ProV1 Precision Pro NX7 Pro All Iron grips are BestGrips Micro-Perforated Mid

Seriously though that schedule sounds pretty brutal sleep-wise. Good luck with some additional shuteye! Wednesdays can be brutal, but that’s why I don’t schedule anything but payroll and golf, and I only start so early because I don’t want payroll to interfere with golf. Most of the time it is just look up the truck data and make sure they are getting loads. My phone vibrates if my drivers have problems I need to deal with. But if it’s just routine maintenance issues, they send a text at the end of their day 8-11 am. I send it on to the appropriate parties or make arrangements. It’s just organizing and planning mostly. Occasionally, there is a serious matter or matters that make it a very brutal day. I had a truck rear ended in a snowstorm in Wyoming last month on a Wednesday at 10pm with 2 drivers injured and 2 hours later another one in Phoenix my drivers were okay their but not the people at fault. I ended up being awake from 2 am Wednesday until 6am Thursday and back up at noon trying to get the drivers out of a blizzard and back home to recover. But that was still a better night than my people had. Neither of my trucks were damaged. Oh and last July, I had to arrange getting 43 separate tire problems fixed. cksurfdude, IndyBonzo, DonnieGolfs and 7 others 10 Quote G430LST 10.5° on T P T POWER 18 Hi Driver G430MAX 3W on T P T POWER 18 Hi Fairway G425 3H on T P T POWER 18 Hi Hybrid iCrossover 4 on Graphite Design AD DI 7S i525 5-U on TGI 90S SM8 54 & 60 on Wedge DF2.1 on White ProV1 Precision Pro NX7 Pro All Iron grips are BestGrips Micro-Perforated Mid

Popular Post MattWillGolf
Good morning Spies, Another bleh weather day here in Central NY. @EasyPutter is made of heartier stock than I. Not looking to play in the rain if I don’t have to. I was contemplating playing the California Kid card but I grew up in SF and to quote from Mark Twain, “The coldest winter I ever spent was the summer I spent in San Francisco.” Summer always seemed to be cold, overcast and drizzly. Which was why summer vacation was camping in Yosemite. Then when we finally did get “summer”, school was back in session. Breakfast is my usual 2 cups of coffee but it is accompanied this morning by the delicious oatmeal raisin cookies my wife made. @RoverRick huge respect. That’s quite the schedule. Not much on my schedule today. Slow week I only have a couple things for work to do. That’s a good thing for the next couple of days. Took a foul ball to the family jewels last night. Went down almost immediately and was there for a minute or two. Finished the game but the after effects made me walk a little ,ore bow legged. This it’s better but not by much, still a little tender while walking. I have a 4:30 tee time so we shall how that goes. Popular Post Swood1994
Good morning folks. As @MattWillGolf & @EasyPutter have said the weather here in upstate NY has been pretty damp. It feels like we've had maybe a few hours of no rain in the last 5 days making it tough to get out on the course (unless you're @EasyPutter). I've been battling a sinus infection and severe allergies since last Friday so I've been doing a lot of nothing but trying to shake this. Have to travel to NYC for work so I'll be missing the first scoring week of my league night which I'm not pleased about. So I looked it over, did my time consuming ones, and took a nap. Now I’m awake and going to complete it and send to the payroll department. They don’t go in for another 90 minutes. We have until 4 pm. But since I usually wake up anyway, I do payroll early. I actually have a night manager under me, and he really reduces the nightly interruptions, but there is nothing worse than waking up to some problem that has been going on for several hours because they didn’t want to wake me. I may be “the boss”, but I look at my role as the person who makes it possible for the workers to achieve the owner’s objectives while achieving their own objectives. Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning all. Getting a nice break from the high winds today and hoping to get out to play 9 after work or hit the range for some practice with my oldest. Only available tee times are 5:00 and 5:50. Right now I am going to be at work until 5, so that one is out, and 5:50 ends up getting pretty late for a 6 year old on a school night by the time we are done, so thinking we will just get some range work and putting practice in. I got some new alignment sticks over the weekend so going to look up some additional drills to the one @Josh Ross gave me to work on. I feel like I am getting "closer" to a better swing path, but need to drill the feel now, as I know I am still coming over the top. Probably will head to YouTube at some point today to find some drills to try. Hoping to get an afternoon 18 in on Sunday, but the weekend forecast looks quite damp here. Popular Post Kenny B
@sirchunksalot and @IndyBonzo... I will leave the early posts to you. Here on the west coast I don't stand a chance of getting into this thread first, unless I log in when I get up in the middle of the night to pee. Then I wouldn't get back to sleep! Had my 2 cups of coffee; checked to see if my sprinklers are working correctly after replacing a few. Headed to the course shortly. My wife called from Lake Chelan last night. She and a group of ladies from our course's ladies league traveled to play Bear Mountain Ranch GC and Desert Canyon GC north of Wenatchee; both are tough courses. At Bear Mountain she shot 91; the others shot between 101 and 128. I think Desert Canyon today will be a more difficult course for them. I talked to a club builder here in town, and he will build a Kuchar reverse armlock putter for me if I can find a suitable donor. On the lookout... The NCAA Selection Show is today at 1 PM, we get to find out where Georgia Southern is playing in their Regional. We've got a top 25 program led by my friend Coach Carter Collins and I'm hoping we'll make some noise this year! richk9holes, cnosil, sirchunksalot and 7 others 10 Quote In my Lux XV Cart Bag: Driver: RADSPEED XB PTC 10.5° Fujikura Speeder Evolution 661 VII Stiff Utility: Apex UW 17° and 19° Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 70 6.0 4 Hybrid: KING LTDx 21° KBS PGI 85 Stiff Irons: ZX5/ZX7 Project X LZ 6.0 Wedges: 2.0 49°, 53°, 57° Project X LZ 6.0 Putter: L.A.B. ejgaudette
Good late morning everyone, busy work day as Wednesdays always are with lots of meetings. Still working to be a bit more diligent about getting some practice in every day so to that end taking my work breaks as opportunities to work on the game a bit. Rolled some putts and took some swings focusing not over swinging at the top and keeping that width. Hope to track and keep that going to make sure there are small improvements each day even though I can't work on everything. We will see how it goes. I hope everyone has a great day! Definitely a minion showed up. It's a complicated issue, and the court didn't rule yet, but I think the hearing went well.
