Friday was a wet slow day. Lots of breakdowns, no shows, and late comers. Friday ended up lasting just a tad bit over 12 hrs. longer than scheduled. 
  Headed back to “ Female Fiend  Land “ If I drive straight through, should have time to unload and take a shower and get golf geared up in time for the Titleist fitting this morning. Thank goodness this is Texas and…..
   

Gives  a nice time buffer for the trip home. I will admit that I don’t do all nighter’s as well as I did 50 years ago… Let us hope I stay awake during the fitting.

Quiet house and coffee in hand. 

Everyone in the house is feeling good and plan to do some park time with the kids mid morning and then a round of golf with the guys after lunch. Weather looks pretty nice today. 

Pizza night and then a drive thru town to go look at Christmas lights.

It's nice to have a Saturday off even though I didn't sleep as much as I wanted. I woke up about 5:30 and couldn't stop my mind from running. I'm not complaining, it's better than usual and I played golf yesterday.

I've got some errands to run with my wife later and it should be fun. I love hanging out with her

Good morning all!

Officially on vacation mode as my wife and I are in Florida for the weekend visiting a friend. Didn't set an alarm today, but woke up early anyways since my body is used to it. No complaints from me as I enjoy the early morning alone time.

Have a new book (new to me, released in 2001) I'm reading from Tom Coyne - A Gentleman's Game. I'm sure many of you have read it, but it's been a page turner for me since I started it last night.

Looking forward to coverage of the PNC Championship this morning. Supposedly Peacock will cover the tournament starting at 8:15ET, so I should catch a good chunk of it.

Hope everyone has a relaxing Saturday and hit 'em straight if you're lucky enough to hit 'em at all!

Good Saturday to all! Early family Xmas get-together is up and running. Pellet smoker is rolling,  3 racks of ribs and other food stuffs in the works. Missed the opening day of the golf tournament yesterday,  so hoping to catch up on that at some point.

Good early Saturday morning, fellow spies. Well, my wife and oldest tested positive for Covid yesterday, so our weekend plans of going to the Packers game are kaput. We were given the tickets for free, so I was able to transfer them back to the original owner for them to pass on to someone else, which is good. My wife will have to be out of work until at least Wednesday due to hospital policy, and I have to do six, yes, SIX, Covid tests over the next two weeks and continue to test negative in order to go to work. I will also have to wear a mask for the next two weeks which I think is dumb because if I am negative why do I need to mask? But what do you do. Not much will be done this weekend as they are isolating from my youngest and I. Just hoping we can avoid it.

Good morning Spies on a cool, and cloudy Michigan morning.

Later start here for me, but I was already up and working on computer work for real world job, and that will take up most of my day tomorrow too.

Headed out shortly to play golf, have a 10:00AM tee time at a local course with 2 friends, and hoping to get at least 7 hours on the course, holes played yet to be determined, but it is dark around 5:00PM.

@Dead Solid Bogey best of luck with your fitting, they really are a great thing to do. @Jnoble89 sorry to read about family health concerns, and hope for speedy recoveries for all involved, and you to stay healthy through the ordeal.

Also wanted to mention to those who stop in here that today is @Tony Covey MGS birthday, and you may want to send him birthday greetings.

Hope that your day is the best it possibly can be, and if golfing may the fun be high, the scores low, and if not golfing, hope that whatever is in your plans is enjoyable.

Good Saturday morning MGSpies from the warmest super El Nino induced end of autumn in these parts in recent memory  all is quiet in the house with coffee in the mug with lots doing in the next 24 hours: Wreaths Across America at the WNY National Cemetery at noon today honoring the fallen and their families putting wreaths on the grave markers with Veteran co-workers and PGA HOPE graduates and volunteers, daugher's birthday dinner this evening, and getting ready for a return to NC on family business connected to the last trip a week ago.  Tomorrow is Veteran Curling and then heading to NC for the week.  Clubs are going with me and my very next task is putting those in the vehicle while it is dry outside.  Hope golf is a part of your day

Good morning and happy Saturday spies!! Didn’t have to work today and ended up sleeping until 7:30!!! That’s 3.5 hours longer than normal and it felt great. 40° and gloomy to start the day and it looks like that will be the weather all day long as well. We are slated to attend a wedding this evening And other than that I have zero things on my list to get done today. Might be a good day to just hang out with the dogs.

 

This is Radar and he’s waiting patiently for his breakfast, along with two others who are sitting in the same manner about 8' to my left. By patiently, I mean he is wondering why his food wasn’t available 2-3 hours ago and he will stare at me until I fill the bowl. He will then walk away from it and come back later when it is more convenient for him.

Good morning Spies,

Another lovely day in Central NY. We watched a favorite Christmas movie last night, The Muppet’s Christmas Carol. I Just love how Michael Caine plays it so straight with the Muppets. Got the renewal notice from my home course. The Monday through Thursday rate went up a bit. I am grateful they offer that option. Saturday and Sundays I save for time with my wife and our church has a Friday golf league.

Good Saturday morning spies I played 1st round Thursday with Odin x1 ball was very impressed the way it comes off the driver face longest drive 278 63 degrees wind 9-10 mph this three piece ball is good all around

Good morning everyone. Up early today for my son’s tournament. Was able to stop at Toppling Goliath brewery on the way to Madison (a bit of a detour but worth it) which makes road trips like this enjoyable. So far we are slaughtering the first team at half so maybe this will be a good weekend for us. Hope everyone has a great day ahead!

Rainy Central Florida Morning, washed out Ranger duties today.  Hopefully, rain will subside this evening & back to work tomorrow.  Great opportunity to stay home & catch up on some chores.

Would like to Echo @Samuel09152 appreciation & gratitude to My Golf Spy Staff & fellow Forum members!  MGS continues to knock it out of the park!  (I'd say they are rock stars, however who knows what old Rock Star is in the Forum & may take exception to the phrase)

I covered the mid west until now. We have a guy retiring. For the last two months we have been transitioning. During any meeting he states ”Tom brings something to the table I never could. Tom is a golfer. He has been with the company twice as long as I have and you will be in good hands”. That’s usually all it takes and the conversations change to golf and I am accepted. Then they start talking about outings and when we can get out and play. They are looking for an excuse to get out of the office for a day.
I’ve found the decision makers in business for the most part are golfers. Golfers like other golfers. I get a lot of information and make a lot of deals out on the course. You’re with them for 5 hours instead of 1/2 hour in a conference room. You get to know people better out of the office environment.

Totally agree with you.
BTW If you need any help closing those deals just let me know

Good morning, all you Spies!
Chilly, partly cloudy to get the weekend rolling, but it could be worse.
I'm getting ready to cut off the desk portion from my built-ins in the office so I can mount the top on a raise-lower desk. I've been working at just below chest height since moving here, and that's bad for posture and stuff. So I can't wait to get back to a stand sit rotation at proper height. My shoulders, neck, and back will be much happier.

The weekend is upon us, so more youth basketball. Yea! Weather in the low 50's, so maybe sneak out to the course. I wonder if Kim and the kids would notice me missing for 4-5 hours tomorrow...

I have trouble with my fingers (and toes) so picked up a pair of these rechargeable hand warmer gizmos (about $25 I think it was on Amazon aka the Bezos Machine) - 4 levels of heat plus option for heat on both sides of the device, and with a pretty large battery it can stay warm for several hours. Definitely helpful .. even at the range!

My fingers are the worst, and I don't play with gloves which actually make my fingers colder.  I have the HotHands chemical heaters in my pockets which I use on the greens, and a G-Tech hand warmer https://getgtech.com when riding in the cart.  Martha drives so I can keep my hands warm.  I've even worn it while playing, but it's in my way.  When my hands are cold, my game goes south... which is what I should be doing now!!  

Don't think the tags work in an RFID blocking wallet.  I think the tags would also mess with Martha's ponytail!!

Good Morning everyone!  A very foggy 35º day today so not playing; my wife just left to play with the Ladies group.  I'll spend the morning in my hitting bay!    We have a potluck dinner at the Richland airport for a friend of ours who won the Port commissioner position at the last election; great guy and decent golfer so that's a plus!!  

Play well today and if you can't play... dream big!!

Weather is pretending it's the start of Spring here, but we know better .. right?

Despite that no golf .. just a lazy day here trying to fully recover from almost catching my wife's really bad cold-cough. She's feeling better but still coughing and sneezing...

Trying to sell off some windsurf gear - that's a sport that's not really growing, and the few guys still doing it that I used to go with have very specific equipment preferences (anyone here know anything about that? ..anyone? )

And nowhere to donate the stuff to anymore, either - there's a Merchant Marine Academy not too far away that has a small sailing program which used to include windsurfing, but that faded out. Oh well times change...

Anyhow hope everyone's weekend is going well for them!!

Well, oh well… According to Titleist; I am officially frail, old, and rather inept at golf. The fitter ( out of a sense of professionalism  ) would not publicly speculate on my social behavior and demeanor.
   Anyhow, embraced my age and went with a clutch of mid-irons to go along with the Edison Enforcer wedges. Preparing for my round,  while @Josh Parker plans my verbal presentation to the “ wife person “.  
    Life is good, life is real good….Or at least it is until I get home tonight.

Happy Saturday Spies !

Got up early to start prep for family coming over today for an early Christmas get together before some take off to Florida (during the holiday). Going to have my two daughters, son-in-law and two grandsons. 

Went out yesterday into the war zone known as “Costco” to get food and beverages for everyone. Barely survived the onslaught but made it home with mixed nuts, some muffin things, cheese slices and beverages of all types and flavors. 

Good weather today so will be trying to focus on the family instead of wishing I was out playing golf
