Good morning Spies on a TGIF here.

Looks like they updated out weather forecast for the next week, and it seems we have a chance of much needed rain almost on a daily basis, starting on Sunday.

@Northern Monkey great pictures and it looks like you enjoyed your trip, which was the most important thing. Thanks for sharing them here. 

@sirchunksalot, Jason, hope you get your round in, and that your weekend plans go on schedule, and that your wife feels better to allow that to happen.

@GolfSpy_BEN will be interested in seeing how you like that head and shaft combination.

No golf in the plans for today or tomorrow, actually have a car event in a small town north of us tomorrow, so today will just be getting ready for that.

Good morning MGS!

Busy week here work has been very consuming thus far and I’m very happy the weekend is almost here. @sirchunksalot sorry to hear about the Mrs. I have my youngest home with some viral thing today fever and a cough for him and right now I’m listening to a rap on how to divide by a fraction, it’s pretty hilarious. Hopefully he’s feeling good enough for the weekly Sunday golf round. Last Sunday was great thanks to the NFL being back course was pretty empty, and when taking my kids it’s better that way so they can hit a few different shots and see what feels better to them.

@BIG STU sorry about the tourney results I’m sure you’ll get next time out and I don’t blame ya passing on $60 green fees. 

@EasyPutter great picture and sounds like a great night and great program! I may have to look into out here in my neck of the woods. Also glad to see that your wife is recovering well!

Happy Friday All!
Played with a couple league folk last night even though league finished last Thursday. 
I must have been swinging for the fences because I was extra creaky trying to sleep.

Had already scheduled today as a day off.  Pups are giving me the "it's time for walk" looks.
Coffee onboard and the joints are starting to loosen up.

on a side note, the testing opportunities are outstanding this year.

Good morning spies!  Glad to read the Lady Boss's are doing well. Makes me happy knowing that! And.for those not fairing well, knee mail sent!

As for me, I am sore today. Nothing specific, just overall. Pretty sure it's from spending most of the day yesterday on the course from the tournament.  Still glowing from my natural eagle!

Now... the drop! So,  as many here have eluded to, you were correct!

the lady boss was up to something on the day she insisted I go play golf last weekend. (And got clobbered by a ball)

Apparently my in laws won a cruise, and having been on only one a few years ago, they did not enjoy it. Wife and I have been on several.

So while I was away on the course, they managed to spend half the day getting it transferred into our names (no easy task either so I was informed, paying name changing fees, emailing documents, e-waivers, arranging flights, etc)

Well, tomorrow we will be flying to Vancouver,  BC. From there we board the Celebrity Solstice for a 9 day cruise to Hawaii !!!  It has been a bucket list destination for us both for awhile, and also a much earned and needed vacation too!

So packing it up today, arranging last minute minor home details, and away we go!  

Apparently she knew last Friday, and did not tell me for a couple reasons. We (she) had to get a new credit card to pay for the flights (not cheap for last-minute). We are super budget minded people,  and the idea of breaking that mold is daunting for us, and she knew I probably would have passed this up had I known. But the lady boss assures me that we will be OK, and I trust her!

Still thinking about the great WNY golf outing and failed to mention one thing.  @EasyPutter is such a wonderful ambassador to this forum.  There are certainly more things to say but to keep it concise, it was wonderful to see the passion he holds for making this a great place to be.

At the airport ready to head south to see the legendary Creed play tomorrow.  Hoping you all have a wonderful day!

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday!

Was hoping to take the little one to the course yesterday but when I got her home, I could tell she wasn't feeling great and took her temp and it was 102.9. Guess she has golf fever like daddy.. she was taken out of daycare early for a doctors appointment for 18 month shots but they had accidentally cancelled the appointment so had to reschedule, so she didn't get a nap and I think she was just worn out with a touch of a cold. Treated with some Motrin and after a bath she was back down to normal so just monitoring today. 

A local Taco & Tequila cantina/dive bar we frequent installed a projector and is showing my favorite movie of all time, Smokey & the Bandit, tomorrow at 8 with Coors, homemade "Diablo Sandwich", and Dr. Pepper cocktail specials. Got the green light to go with some of the fellas so looking forward to that!

Happy Friday Spies!

Sitting at work and this Celsius is giving me life after another sleepless night. Youngest was up at 0545 and wasnt going back to bed, so we sat on the couch and watched some Good Good golf while the rest of the house was sleeping. Have a sleep study scheduled for tonight, and hopefully can get this insomnia/sleep apnea figured out.

No golf planned for today, most of my local courses are booked up for afternoon tee times. Hopefully some time next week. In the mean time, will be staring at my clubs longingly. Maybe try and find an open sim spot somewhere to keep the rust from forming.

Uppa with a cuppa. Productive morning. Summer is over so the pool closed this morning. Took Cooper for a walk. Our three legged pup loves his walks and loves to plop when he’s tired. He is just the happiest little guy. 
 

 

Returned from the walk to have my second cuppa. A run is in the offing later.

Good morning Spies!

Slept in a bit later this morning after a few beverages at the work happy hour last night. Happy to say I didn't have to go back into the office today as originally planned. Thanks a ton to everyone for the well wishes for my dad's hip surgery - everything seemed to go smoothly and he's back at home recovering. I'm sure he's already joking about making his normal tee time tomorrow morning.

Speaking of tee times, I made the executive decision to book one tomorrow morning since Sunday is looking to be very wet. Will be going solo, as one of my buddies will be attending the Notre Dame game and another is having back problems. Fine by me though, just happy to get out. Will give me a good excuse to walk and break out the push cart. May try to hit the range today after work for some practice beforehand.

Currently watching the Formula 1 practice and having some coffee. Looking forward to a fairly easy workday and the weekend ahead. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

A good morning to all. An unscheduled trip to the vet this morning as one of our huskies had a couple of mild seizures through the night, so her medication adjusted. She’s now fine and demanding in the way only huskies can do, “Dad where’s my breakfast”. Other than that, a pickleball league begins tonight.

Started today with command PT which was a run through First Landing State Park here in Virginia. I like those runs out in nature away from people. Got to stretch out today though since I didn't get the chance to yesterday. Looking forward to the round tomorrow morning with the guys. Hopefully I don't wind up in the trees Like I did a few weekends ago. Although I was able to punch out which I have become pretty decent at doing since that used to be where my ball always went when I first started playing.  Anyhow, lunch time now and then heading home to work on the shed for the chickens. Should have that completed this weekend. 

When I was stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco we would run in company formation along Chrissy Field next the the bay to Ft. Point under the Golden Gate Bridge. It was fun to see the reaction of tourists.
