No experience with the Clicgear, but I can say the Nitron is slightly smaller when folded than my CaddyTek EZ V8:

@JM6321 I can agree with @edingcthis is Definitly a better compact push cart than the caddytek.

I'm just shy of six feet tall. I could walk underneath if I was hunched over, but honestly it's just easier to hold the umbrella in one hand while pushing the cart in the other.

I ended up getting caught in another rain shower right near the end of my round this morning. It was very easy to quickly mount the umbrella holder (I keep it in the storage pouch under the handle when not in use), and I had my umbrella up and ready within about 30 seconds.

 

Can that elastic strap be used to wrap around the umbrella handle to hold it more securely in some manner? I will try that out as I finish up my full review.

Ran out and tried it with a free work golf umbrella. Seems pretty secure when I use the elastic strap. I just grabbed a tee time to play 9 this afternoon. I will try out the umbrella for shade and report back on security.

I was trying to figure out how that cord worked. Once again, showing me the way. Your umbrella looks like it has a slightly slimmer handle than mine, I can bet that it is probably pretty secure even without the strap based on the friction fit at the bottom of the holder.

The opening to that bottom hole/eyelet is what made me think that it was for something. The umbrella seemed ok without the strap, but with it feels much better.

The Clicgear carts have a similar system.  Seems to hold the umbrella in place pretty well.

Final Review posted. Man, this was fun!

Also, it ended up raining for a bit on Friday during my round so I got to try out the umbrella holder. It worked great.

Walked another 9 yesterday behind the Nitron and continue to love the the cart! I do need to remember to remove extra balls from the storage compartment before folding it up though. Every so often I forget and have an embarrassing moment when the balls cause the compartment to open during folding and dumping my contents onto the ground.

Same. Walked 18 on Tuesday and forgot two balls and my keys in the tray. They managed to remind me as I tried to fold and put back in the car, lol.

Yesterday's round was also my first one with one of my neighbors. He also has a Nitron (blue/red colorway). It looked amazing with his red/white/blue Taylormade bag. He had a Ryder Cup towel to finish off the patriotic theme. He also is a massive fan of his Nitron.

I recently purchased an insulated 26oz water bottle that fits in the cup holder. A couple of observations:

1. The water bottle being taller and skinnier up top than the Tervis tumbler mentioned in my review was actually better for use in the cup holder. Being skinnier, it lessened any interference from my wedges. Being taller and not having a concave top like the Tervis, I had no issue with dirt/grass from a club head coming to rest on the drinking surface.
2. With the water bottle being metal, it got quite hot to the touch on the outside sitting in the sun in the cup holder. I’m thinking I might keep my water bottles in the pouch under the handle on hot days when I am not using an umbrella for shade (in which case continuing to use my larger 32oz bottle is an option as well).

I spent some time Tuesday morning videoing a few holes from the back of the Nitron. I really like the design of the cell phone holder. It seems to be very secure and it also doubles nicely holding the camera. I just wheeled the cart into place and took all of the below footage, which is the first course vlog from me in like two years...

Still not seeing much wear on my cart where the track glides. Not sure if it’s the matte black or what but not seeing the same wear. How are you other testers holding up? Same wear or getting worse?

Staying about the same for me. Not too noticeable and does not detract from my continued enjoyment of the cart!

I’m not seeing a lot of added wear yet but it’s something I’ll keep an eye on. Would hate to have rust issues arise. Still really love this cart. Is anyone seeing the bungee straps show any signs of wearing out or stretching and not returning to shape? Curious what the lifespan on these are.

No additional wear. I figure at the end of the season I'll clean the cart up really well and throw some car wax on those parts specifically. Can't hurt.

I was thinking about that the other day. I don't think my straps have stretched too much (if at all), but I have noticed the plastic pieces have moved a little bit. 

My bigger concern is the strap that holds the phone in, as that one can't be easily tightened.

If the bungee straps die, I might have to simply remove them and get a Top-Lok bag…

Yea same as @Hobert if the straps go I would probably end up biting the bullet on the top lok bag. No stretching for me at this point though

Had another opportunity to use the umbrella holder this morning. Steady drizzle to start the round and it became intermittent as the round continued.

This is the configuration I settled on, with the holder facing forward. This way I can still walk behind the cart with the umbrella strapped in to the holder without needing to duck, and the umbrella covers the top of my clubs. Unfortunately, this way does result in water shedding off the umbrella and on to the bottom of my bag. 

I also like this orientation as I can park the cart in the direction from which the wind is blowing and there's no worry that the umbrella will get blown away.

A bit fiddly to use the umbrella but certainly better than walking in the rain without any protection.

Was finally cool enough (below 90°) to walk again during league last night and broke out the Nitron. Still loving this as much as I did on day 1. I’ve switched from my cart bag to my carry bag several times this season and am starting to notice some wear on the straps from sliding the securing mechanism. Going to get a new BagBoy cart bag this winter so hopefully I can rely more on the auto-lock feature and less on the straps.

Logged another 5 miles on the BagBoy. Holding up strong.

I did get out a few weeks back in some heavy rain. Don’t love the umbrella holder, may look at getting a taller umbrella, the one I have o have to crouch with currently

I have to agree that the umbrella holder isn’t great but, BagBoy also makes an aftermarket version umbrella holder that may fit the bill. It is much beefier and a bit taller than the original but I fit under it just fine at 6’2”. I have pictures of it posted on my review here. I have used it in light rain/drizzle once this year and just for shade a handful of times. May be an option for you.

I think Timmy umbrella is not very tall so it’s a combo. I don’t often play in rain but may have to give it a whirl and get a different umbrella

For me, I just don’t see the umbrella holder as overly practical but that because when it rains in the Midwest you typically have 20+ mph winds as well and securing the umbrella to the cart means it’s going to get blown over. It worked great during the one round with occasional light rain but that just isn’t the norm in these parts. If I was back home in Seattle then I could see this feature getting a lot more use.

I’m with you there, wind changes everything with an umbrella on a cart. Light rain and drizzle are usually fine here in Iowa but the wind can be a beast. Even in most sunny days the wind is a bit much for the umbrella.
