Best Balls for Captains Choice Tournaments?

Easy enough.... anyone find a cheap ball they like to use that still performs ok and is pretty readily available specifically for captains choice tournaments?  Sure the easy answer is use the same ball you normally game, but for those that are like me and the adult beverages flow early and often in these formats $4 a ball can get pretty expensive when you are hammering driver every hole and aiming dead at risky flags.

For those most part once you decide you want to play a cost effective ball they are all relatively the same, especially if you aren’t going to be focused due to the consumption of swing oil. It won’t matter how good or bad a ball is. Just walk into the golf store and pick a ball in hiit price range and go have fun

Cheapest answer is going to be balls you've already found on the course.  If you prefer to play new ones and have them all be the same you can find good deals on Maxfli Tour balls at Dicks Sporting Goods stores, they perform very well in testing and won't break the bank.

You could also look at used balls and buy 4A or 5A dozens of what you normally play.  Just make sure they aren't refurbished.

The MGS Ball Test is a great place to start for more info.  https://mygolfspy.com/buyers-guides/golf-balls/2023-golf-ball-test/
