And then after some back and forth between my 'just focus on playing with what you have now' side vs the 'but we like to test out new toys especially irons' side .. the latter won out and I ended up clicking on Sign Up for the PXG irons test. I had a set of 0211s which weren't bad and probably should've kept but that 'new toys' side won out last year as I tried out several different iron models before settling on the current Sub 70s.

Do I "need" new irons? Will I play "better" with new irons?? Can humanity ever end famine and achieve world peace???

..sheesh cmon fuhgeddabouddit these are imponderable questions that philosophers and pundits will pronounce upon and debate for many ages yet to come.....

Evening Everyone!

After donating a pint this morning and the wonderful heat we are experiencing, I basically did little more than nothing today... Oh yeah, I did check some of my wood inventory as I have a couple of projects to get started on for clients and I have enough material for two of them but will have to make a trip to my local supplier this week for some more walnut.

Much like @cksurfdude I sat and pondered about signing up for the PXG test opportunity. After a great deal of drooling  over the pictures of the GEN 7's and telling myself not to sign up I ultimately gave in and did anyway... Just could not live with myself if I didn't...

Last 10 miles I felt a vibration from the trailer. Pulled into the driveway and immediately smelled a melting scent. The bearing cover was gone, wheel covered in grease, and a bald tire. Wiggled the rim and I'm lucky the whole hub didn't come off the axle. The spindle nut was also very hot!

  I'm guessing the bearing failed. Thank goodness I made it home without incident. 

Had an amazing week with some amazinf people. Miss the mountains already.

 

Come to south eastern Wyoming next time. We can ride some mountains!

Good evening spies! Mondays are so ugh ! No golf activities today, letting the elbow rest. It actually feels so much better than a couple days ago. Playing tomorrow maybe, definitely playing Wednesday. Anyway, since Mondays suck like Nebraska and blow like Utah, with Wyoming being caught in the middle, I thought I’d share some memes and funnies from the stuperweb with yas! Enjoy!!!

Evening spies. Only golf related thing I did today was wear the new Ducas to help break them in!  They are snazzy! 

Rest of the day was spent installing a digital Amazon thermostat requested by the lady boss (which I already hate), did laundry,  unpacked the gear from the motorcycle trip, organize the spare closet, and now am prepping dinner. (Fajitas)

Good evening Spies on what was a productive get things done which needed to be done, rainy Monday here.

Rained in the later morning through midafternoon, then muggy and warm.

Best to those here which applied for the PXG testing, hoping that at least one of the regular contributors get selected.

I will say that I wasn't even tempted, as I am just now getting the distances of the T150's I bought at the end of last season dialed in quite consistently.

More rain here overnight, and that means it will be more a working retirement summer day here for me tomorrow.

Didn't add the other pictures from the Packard Proving Grounds this morning, so the rest of them are here.

Good Second Monday spies! Good news from the oncologist for the CIC, or spousal unit as I like to call her…as of right now no chemotherapy or radiation! That’s good news! Second to that is I played good today! I’m still not driving the ball as long as I’d like to but I’m in the fairway. I’m afraid I’m just not going to get the distance back soon. It’s ok, just sad. Oh, and I ran across a funny for ya. 

Interesting stuff going on these days. I sure hope you all had a great day even though it’s a second Monday. Oh, and one more thing, I was successful at bagging a birdie! Good evening spies!

Trying to keep the eyes open, been up since last night around 5pm, did my 12hr shift and back home at 9am. Did get to lay down for a bit then ran some errands and final going to enjoy a practice session on the ExPutt.

Good evening folks!

Spent the morning at the PGA Superstore trying out fairways. Almost pulled the trigger on the G430 SFT 5 wood but decided to wait. Might go back and try it out again tomorrow. Also may try out the AI Smoke fairways as well, they had a used 7 wood for a great price and I forgot to demo it before I left. 

Anyways, getting ready for class this evening. Hope you all have a good one.

Good evening all,

Currently sitting out on my balcony, drinking some bourbon and perusing the Forum. Went to the range (again) after work and was hitting the ball much better than this morning. Glad to see I haven't totally reverted to a worse golfer.

Really excited about the buzz with all these new MGS tests! The Forum Staff is clearly hard at work and it doesn't go unnoticed.

Good evening Spies from what is now a drier Michigan.

Rained ended late afternoon, and I did manage to spend a couple of hours after dinner practicing putting on the putting green at a course I was able to walk too.

Did manage to get more work done both around the house, and in preparation for our Saturday event, although it was very muggy with the warm temperatures and 100% humidity.

Golf tomorrow, high of 89 and mid 80's humidity so I plan to stay very hydrated throughout the round.

@Erin B great news on the C.I.C.'s health, and continued success going forward.
