Good evening spies! 86 with two doubles and two triples. Subtract those and I’d had a sub 80 round. Putting wasn’t really the issue, it was boneheaded mistakes, three of which were green side chips that I flubbed for some stupid reason. To be honest I’m actually not to upset about the round. I had a good time with good people! That’s all that really matters in the VGA for me. I did not have success on my birdie hunt today, I lipped out 5 of them. Oh well, they’ll come. Have a great evening!

Good evening Spies on a very hot and humid day here in the Motor City area.

Busy day for me, no golf activities other than cleaning up my clubs for a round planned on Wednesday morning.

Spent the better part of the day dealing with mass confusion of other's who hold important positions to make sure all of the preparations for our upcoming car show are completed.

Answering questions of some who really have no business asking them, getting others to actually do what they said they were going to do, and making sure everything is as it should be.

More frustrating than anything else, but the old saying "Too many cooks in the kitchen" would come into play here.

Some seem to have very large egos, and talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. 😱

Weather here tomorrow a repeat of today, with even higher temperatures expected.

Glad to read that you at least had a fun day @Erin B, I am looking forward to some fun time tomorrow and Wednesday myself.

Good evening everyone. Busy day at school handing out lockers and then trying to make sure everyone can get theirs open. Never ceases to amaze me how many kids struggle with left and right.

Golf on the agenda at least one day this coming weekend. Goal is to get out twice. But first, have to get in some putting practice over the next couple of days.

Flas you had fun with the VGA event @Erin B.  Good luck with the car show @rkj427

Good evening spies! Been a busy time working a lot and family stuff. Getting out with a few buddies for just fun rounds and not really keeping score and mostly playing various golf games. Needing to get out for some range time this week if I can make some time. Hope everyone is out there rolling putts and dropping low scores!

Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round.
I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. Driving is the worst part of my game so My 4 iron usually takes alot of the long game abuse.

Well Spies, I didn't do you proud today. Decent start to the World Am 2nd round (41 on front 9), but crumbled like a stale cookie (stale biscuit for the Brits 😉) on the back 9. Maybe my pathetic putting bled into the rest of my game. I'll spare you the gory details, but you can see from the pic below that I wasn't happy with my putting. Never locked in on the speed of the fast greens that rolled beautifully. What a shame. Didn't lose any ground, but didn't gain any either. T16 still ahead of 33 guys in my flight. One of the 50 who teed it up yesterday bailed on today's round. He shot 96 yesterday but don't know if that had anything to do with it. Tomorrow is moving day, right? Let's hope I move in the right direction. I hear the greens are terrible at our next track, so maybe that'll be an equalizer.🤞🏾20240827_110109.jpg.09038368f98b9955ba2ca714249494b6.jpgScreenshot_20240827_203254_GHIN.jpg.64e1d7fd1d37880e45912023778954bf.jpgScreenshot_20240827_203343_GHIN.jpg.cb66d2a36735a65989a13d678d27b33f.jpgScreenshot_20240827_203431_Chrome.jpg.877b1fb02efcb1c0f439d5ff91b1b88d.jpg

Good evening Spies on what was a mixed bag of weather here today, although the heat and humidity didn't leave until after the evening storms rolled through.

Posted in the "Random Topic" thread a link to some pictures and videos of the tv promotion I did today, and had a meeting tonight making sure all is ready to go for the event on Saturday here.

Tee time tomorrow morning, and looking forward to that, although with the rain from the storms today, I hope it isn't too soggy.

Nice playing @Erin B and @TAGolf13 best of luck going forward in your event.

Good evening spies!  Forgot to post this yesterday,  but I was given the honor of taking photos for the PGA Hope group local here.  They were allowed to play our par 3 course before it opens to the public next weekend. @EasyPutter who works directly with PGA Hope, i thought you may appreciate this, as much as i did following them around. They meet weekly at our course for their roundtable. The oldest few of the group are approaching their 90s !!!

Good HumpDay evening spies! I hope your HumpDay evening goes humpingly! Just got off the course. Played pretty well minus the two penalties that resulted in double bogeys. Oh well, struck the ball very well and have been gaining my distance back since I switched to Sqairz. Even had a couple 🐥 🐥! Have a great evening spies!

Good evening Spies on a day where I spent the majority of it doing office type preparation work for our car clubs upcoming car show next weekend.

Productive and time well spent, as it makes it easier to ensure all is good to go beforehand.

Also managed to walk over to the practice putting green at the course close to the house and practiced putting for a little over an hour.

The green speeds there are usually 11+ - 13 on the Stimpmeter and much faster and truer than the greens on other local courses.

Ideally for me, this keeps me from getting too long with my stroke, and too aggressive with speed and makes the slower greens actually a little easier to putt on.

Tomorrow looks to be more of a working day on the preparations, although I plan to hit the range sometime in the afternoon as well.

Almost forgot to mention to both @Erin B and @Michael.Sandoval33 that the last preseason game between the Niners and Raiders looked like it ended up in a manner where no one received bragging rights.

That is exactly what happened to me getting too long with the back stroke putting. Due to my accident I have nerve damage that translates all over my body including my hands. I had went form an arc stroke to SBST. Lately I have not had any nerve issues. My home course the greens are gnarly and my putting had went to crap. My running partner Big Bear, who is a great putter, went back to a pop stroke. I decided to practice it Wednesday since I grew up doing it on gnarly Bermuda greens. I figured to go way back and pulled a old flanged Bulls Eye blade from the stash. I figured to establish my feel for it. I putted so well with it in practice Tuesday I decided to use it yesterday and see. As SOP I only carry 11 clubs so my trusted beloved rusty Scotty was in the bag also. Putted well with the Bullseye. Also went back to wrist popping my bump and run chips and had a par save chip in on a hole I had actually butchered. I know my way as usual goes against proper instruction but then I have always been outside the box in my thinking and my way of doing things

I live down here and had forgotten the World Am was in town this week. For some reason not much local press on it as in years past. Our course has not participated in like 4 years now. Now our owner will tell you it is due to them losing money which is total BS. Truth is our course will not pass muster on conditions. In all honesty as a member I would not expect anyone to travel to such an event and play at our place.

I had noticed Monday after our league play the parking lot was crowded when it has not been the last few weeks. Yesterday it was the same. One of the guys at the bag drop who works on Wednesday only told me the World AM was in town and the ones playing our place were on vacation and not in it and did not realize they could not get tee times at other courses. He is in the golf booking business and he knows. I know our course has the Women's Invitational Friday so our league has booked a course down the road called Waccheasaw East for Friday. It was on the World AM list so it should be in great shape.

Hope you had a great time

Hey Big Stu, would have been pleased to meet you. We had a great time! Fun playing partners, great food in Myrtle. You know I had to go to Greg Norman's joint. Pricey, but good food and service. I was surprised that Sea Trail Reese Jones was on the list because the greens were a tragedy. Everyone was complaining. I was hoping it would be an equalizer, given how I've been putting. We're playing River Oaks in the morning before leaving on Saturday. I'm about to post my recap in "How'd You Play."

Still swinging after all these years

Good Thursday evening spies! In Cheyenne it’s not only throwback Thursday, it’s also thirsty Thursday!!! Yippee!!! 🍻 🍻 🥃 Anyway I got out today, played the front 9 twice because the group of grannys were taking at least 15 minutes per hole. I couldn’t even tee off on 10; I could have but wow it would have taken forever to play the back.

Not gonna do it. Got to hang with some birds of prey while I was waiting.

I also finished another blog entry. Hope you all get the chance to read it. Now I’m just chilling. Oh, forgot to mention it’s Jackalope season here in Wyoming!

Has anyone seen much on the new Srixon drivers?

I’ve been wondering the same. Got a feeling they’re gonna be good.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Good evening Spies,

Had a fun round today, putting was utterly atrocious and cost me through the round, but everything else was on point 👌🏽 played with someone that I am going to be golfing with a lot in the future it seems, talked to him about MGS and he will most likely be joining up. Relaxing and winding with the Fiancé now. Busy weekend ahead so I will enjoy the rest while I can.

Enjoy the night spies!
