What's your budget?

Do you like the shafts that are in them?

They’re KBS $ taper light shafts.  I haven’t hit them yet (raining here in Eastern Carolina).  Also, I have no experience with KBS, hitting DG Pro S300.

Play golf they said….it’ll be fun they said.

If you want them put back to the original OEM specs or to your own fitted specs a good club repair man will get them perfect. Adding extensions effects the overall weight, balance and swing weight. Buying the necessary equipment and supplies to do it right is way more expensive than having it done, trust me. I would send them to a reputable golf club builder or repair shop. The one I use is West Georgia Golf Co. a small family owned business. Billy Bridges has been making clubs for years. Call them, tell him what you want to do and he will give you a reasonable price I'm sure. He has all of the shafts, extensions, grips and loft and lie machine. More importantly it will be done perfectly he will communicate directly with you. Club repair is like going to a doctor, it's personal. Big box store club repair employees aren't very experienced, they don't GAS about you, your game or your clubs because they have no skin in the game.

Did you hit the clubs before buying?  If the shafts work the extenders would work (still some costs potentially for new grips).

If you don’t like the shafts, then reshafitng is pro the way to go, unless you can return the clubs.

Try them on the course before you do anything. If you like the shafts, then extend.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

As others have commented I would suggest waiting until you get a couple of rounds or some good range time in and determine whether you like the shafts or not. Make the decision to extend or reshaft from that point.

Also remember if you add back in the extension it will make the club play more upright.  So if your lie angle is correct with these clubs adding the extension will make the lie angle 2 degrees upright.  So take into account you may have to get a lie angle adjustment if you lengthen the clubs.

Agree with everyone saying that you should just try them.  You could also just get one extended and SW set to your specs if you wanted to try them.  I have the same shafts in mine, and I like the feel a lot.

Thanks again to all.  I tried them and liked them.  Put the extension in to get them back to standard length and like them even more.  Now….time to work on the swing ;^)

Play golf they said….it’ll be fun they said.
