Titleist GT Driver & Fairway In Hand Pics

So having received the GT2 Driver and Fairway woods.  I thought II’d do a mini photo dump here.  
 

The line is still under Embargo for a few more weeks. So I cant post any data yet.   
 

But i will say during my fitting i did get gains in nall speed and improved spin variances over my TSR1 that was fit by Titleist as well. 
 

I will say the looks and sound are incredible.  Somehow Titleist made a great driver even better.

Those look awesome Rob! I'm glad to hear the performance matches up with the hype as Titleist was talking about ball speed gains from the previous models. I also think those headcovers look pretty slick.

They look great @Golfspy_CG2 and glad to hear that you not only picked up speed but also consistency across the face with spin. 

From reading various articles about them it appears that the improvements of this new model are at least on par with those already in the marketplace.

I really liked seeing the TSR2 take a giant leap from the TSI2 and gain traction as a solid competitor with the TSR3.

Now that the GT2 is here it’s making believe that this would be worth a legit shot next year.  The shape mirrors the PING heads I’ve had success with and I would really love a matchup between the 430 LST and GT2.

The good news is by then we should see plenty of hands-on time and data.

The used GT market will be sweet!  Can’t wait to hear how the AF shaft works on the GT Driver.  Too bad it’s embargoed but can’t wait to see it in action.

Great looking driver and woods, that shape is classic.  I'm looking forward to my Titleist fitting on the 29th.
I'm hoping that since they'll have the complete GT line driver though fairway woods, that I'll be able to try a slightly shorter than normal shaft in driver.

Perhaps @Golfspy_CG2 can confirm, but I have read that more carbon has been placed into the GT head to allow for more discretionary weight to be distributed in the head and to improve the sound and to make it more forgiving across the face.

Unfortunately all that and more can't be disclosed till embargo is up August 1st.

For the record I have no idea if that is true or not. I have my GT fitting tomorrow, but will wait till August 1st before posting my writeup.

If you heard that, someone is making it up.  As Titleist has not said that.  I do know what the crown is made of but as APH mentioned above, it will all be explained by the people who can describe it best upon the official release.

Those headcovers are VERY slick. The GT range look great. Thanks for posting all those pics. I love my TSR2 fairway woods and the GT2&3 drivers definitely sound like they warrant consideration in future. I look forward to seeing some data once you're able to share!

Just a reminder, anything about the materials, weighting, technology and specs are all under embargo still.  All that is allowed are pictures without any tech talk at all.   

So even if it is posted or talked about at other places, we respect all  OEM embargos here, so please keep that in mind in your discussions.

Interesting. There was no mention of embargos at the Titleist fitting I attended (for Team Titleist members). Just confirmed that it wasn’t in any of the invitation confirmations or info pack they gave me after. Perhaps the reason is that the fittings only allow temporary access to the gear.

As we've mentioned before during testing's when it's US Only, the Titleist US and Titleist EU and other international locations are operated completely separate.  So maybe word didn't filter down to the AU fitters.   

But since this is a US based site, and we deal with the US based HQ, we will honor their requests.   I know there will be leaks from other outlets, but again we simply requests everyone here respect their policies.

I am absolutely in love with the look. I hit the TSR3 at my fitting in May and couldn't stop dreaming of it. The GT makes me drool a little. This line will be one of those pie in the sky pieces for me. Probably be years before I have one lol

Had my fitting yesterday and can say that I will be making a few switches to GT clubs. As stated prior there is a good bit still under embargo so can't get into numbers or any of the tech details. 

What I will say is that I would encourage anyone to demo these when they can. They were a lot of fun to hit and there was without a doubt some surprises. 

This was probably the best fitting experience I had and was fun how quick my fitting Jannik was able to dial things in for me. The best part was going through the setup with them (I was over an hour early and got a chance to talk with all four fitters prior) and even threw a football around with them for 10 or so minutes on the range before we got started. 

It did rain which was a bummer, but didn't have a huge effect on the swing and the experience. 

Every fitting experience is one to learn from and I can definitely say that I learned a lot!

Agree. The Titleist fittings I've been to have generally been first rate. The knowledge of the fitters and how quickly they can adapt a setup to suit you is pretty impressive.

That is stellar! Pretty sure my GT driver setup was the same price as the cost to attend...
