Best music to listen to while golfing?

What's your go to music for the course?

I don't usually play anything but I feel like my friends always end up with country music.

Has to be as loud as possible, and the worst rap music you can find.  I’m talking level 100 loud, if you can’t feel the bass when you are putting it is not loud enough.

But my playing partners get upset with me when I do it so I live with what we they bring - I do like music

I just pop it on SiriusXM and either go with some old school hip hop (Rock the Bells Radio) or whatever else I may be feeling like that day. Obviously at a respectable volume, one that only I can hear and no further than 6ish feet away from the cart. I'm a nice guy like that unless they want me to crank it up!

... My golf pards and I all thankfully like the same music. I play it low and it is background for our walking but we can't hear it on the tee or green. We like music to encourage a mood so we listen to Acoustic Classic Rock or Soft Rock. As most here know I was a radio personality from 1971 to 1982 working a stations in NC, GA, PA and finally ending up in Chicago and rock music fills me with pleasant feelings and memories. I did do one year of Country when a station I was working at in Chicago changed formats and went from WEFM to WUSN .... and I still have nightmares!

It does apply to him though.  And everyone else that doesn’t think they should be forced to listen to music even passively on the golf course by just being there.  It’s like second hand Vape, just because someone wants to Vape doesn’t necessarily give them the right to exhale around people who don’t enjoy strawberry flavored antifreeze.

Not trying to be a jerk, but sometimes you just have to look at the whole picture.  A lot of people go to play golf to enjoy the outdoors, and sometimes that means they don’t want to listen to Taylor Swift, the want to head the sweet sound of a piped drive, or maybe even catch the warble of a rare bird or something.

... All good points. Exactly why I put him on ignore almost instantly. Of course Retired Boomer can comment about his preference for or against music and he always does so respectfully. We are a friendly bunch and enjoy opposing points of view as long as it is done with some class.

Back to topic. 

I used the start a radio station based in this artist option in YouTube music today and it was great. Mellow Alternative Country based on Devil Makes Three made for a calm and relaxing 18 today.

There have been quite a few music on the the course threads and there doesn't seem to be a middle ground.

Interesting. I do play with some that hate it and some that love it. 

I don't care. I'm just happy to be playing.

I listen to SXM and usually turbo or go completely 180 and play country. Sunday I’ll have the 9ers on.

Oh that's a good point. I have occasionally taken my ipad with me and had a live event playing. Keep it low so you can only hear it in the cart. Formula 1 usually or when the fedex cup was on we watched it.

So glad I am not alone when it comes to country! Then again, I am sure that feeling goes the same my way when I decide to listen to Faction Punk
