Well November is fast approaching and that means it's Movember! If you're not familiar with Movember here's the gist:

"During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo's”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives."

Every year my wife Nidine starts her own Movember team to help raise money for this cause; prostate cancer has affected our family and I know some around here too. So here's the invite to join our team and help start raising. Follow the link below if you're interested in joining the team or just to donate. Ive got most of the blokes who work for me signed up to do it, few of my fellow managers as well - cant decide what style to go for yet!

I've offered a prize (the tom selleck award) to the best effort in the office....

Mrs Westy is not a huge fan of me with facial hair - but to be honest it saves her faking a headache!

I'll be starting this years growth with the full beard. Have a work conference in two weeks and need to look presentable. Starting on the 16th it's all 'stache for the rest of the month.

So I was trimmin the old boy today and wonderin how everyone else's is doin. Now I know there's a couple of ya around here that can't even grow em yet, but c'mon there's gotta be a few more.

 

Added note. Nidine's raised almost $500 thus far.

Just got back from my work conference. Full beard was in effect. Today is the day for shaving the 'stache though. I'm going to start with the handle bars since my wife can somewhat tolerate that. Then by the end of the month I will have the full Tom Selleck in effect.

 

I'll try to get a picture later.
