Just bought the first set of irons since I bought my beginner Strata clubs back in 2015. Mizuno JPX Hot Metal 923 HL. MGS had them as the best game improvement iron for beginners so that gave me the confidence to hit the buy now button. 

5-PW, AW for $630 after rush shipping so I can hit them Saturday while im playing a new course with the wife.

Bought the Sub 70 699 Pro V2 20* Utility Iron with SteelFiber I95 shaft. Put it in the bag and it has paid dividends! Driver went off the rails last week and I resorted to this iron off the tee. I was impressed. Nice penetrating ball flight that put me in mid to short iron approach range for all par4's. Had I not tried to work through the swing issue with the driver early on I suspect the round would have been more pleasant and definitely more acceptable from a scoring perspective.

       

       

The picture with impact shown was after three consecutive shots warming up at the range. Wish I hit all irons like that.

I finished the tinkers to the Cleveland putter tonight.  New Garsen Max grip and an extra 20g of weight in the head, which is my preference and I hope will help with the absurdly fast greens at my home course.  So, to stay on topic, I guess I bought the new grip and some Tungsten putty!

BTW exactly 10g of putty will fit in each of the Frontline Elite 1.0 weights, in case you wondered!

This is me on the range before I go play on the course. Then, when I get on the course, it looks like the face was hit by birdshot

I never considered using tungsten putty before. Right now, I’ve added adhesive tire weights to my putter. @IndyBonzoKeep us updated on how it works out!

Had a discount code on Callaway Pre Owned and used it towards an Odyssey Eleven putter. Came down with shingles so haven’t been able to take it out to the practice green yet, but she is pretty with the red shaft.
