Popular Post ParFore74x
Good morning spies!! Not looking good for golf plans for me this weekend. Wife and I are heading to Sioux Falls, SD in about 30 minutes to surprise some friends whose son is graduating from High School this year. Great kid and I don’t think that they actually expect us to show up, 4.5 hours each way. Should be fun. Rain and/or storms in the forecast for most of tomorrow so probably no golf then either. In other news, my daughter invited the young man who asked her to prom over to the house last night so that we could meet him. Wife put him on the spot with twenty questions and he handled it pretty well. Pretty cool kid from what I learned last night. He is a baseball player who likes to play golf and did inform me that he has a “pretty wicked slice off the tee”. Swinging for the fences. Welcome to the MGS forums and the Good Morning thread @BORDO & @ZachN97!! Glad to have you on board. Have a great day spies! Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Good Saturday morning my spies.. May the weekend bring you joy and contentment. The SHE being is good, real good at getting what she wants. I have just received a royal edict that the “Princess of Payback” wants to venture forth on another Special Couples Day.. This DAY will last two or three days. When I inquired why the rush, as we just had a 3 DAY, Special Couples Day???… The wife person responded that she was confident that I would get my release next Friday to go play golf and that she wanted to spend time together before losing me to the links. Like I stated earlier, she is wickedly good at getting what she wants. So… Even as we are preparing to embark for the next journey for the Empress of the Exaggerated Elegance Expedition, I am already feeling the life energy draining from my being…. Again, may this weekend be one of your making and liking. Byrnzee, tdroma98, Kenny B and 17 others 2 1

Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning all from a wet and windy Saturday! Today is our oldest son’s birthday, turning the big 7! Hard to believe that many years have gone by already. We are kicking the day off with the junior baseball clinic run by the high school program, then will probably do some bowling this afternoon, followed by the annual beer and brat feed fundraiser at his school, which is Catholic (no, the irony is not lost on me lol). It’s the lone fundraiser for athletic programs at the school. We will follow that with cake and presents at home before heading to the waterpark tomorrow. I was up late last night watching Shogun with the wife and you pair that with doing yard work the past two days and I was pooped. I'm just now drinking my morning coffee and it's only about 90 minutes before my usual work lunch. Like @Northern Monkey today is going to involve running around town and I also have to take the wife's car to be detailed. At least my wife isn't into designer things and is very frugal. @GolfSpy_KFT happy birthday to your oldest! @GolfSpy_APH enjoy your break from work and the time you get with your family, time is a very precious thing and I hope you make some wonderful memories with them. @BORDO and @ZachN97 welcome to the best forum on the Internet, I hope y'all enjoy hanging out here. Popular Post fixyurdivot
Top of the pot spies! We had an unexpected but super cool lightening show last night. I was grilling a pork loin when it rolled in. The temp started dropping, wind and dark clouds rolled in, then all hell broke loose. It lasted well over an hour and filled the sky with crazy looking flashes. Using the "one Mississippi" count technique had some as close as 3 miles. At the backend came a nice rain that lasted an hour. We sat out on the back porch and watched natures free show...complete with that unique smell of ionized air. We got all 100% of the 20% chance of thunderstorm/showers . 1022 tee time at Granite Falls South today. Played their yesterday carding a 36/42, in pretty stiff winds. I took the ping 425 LST out yesterday and was quite impressed with it and my buddy’s Newton 6Dot. He doesn’t have as good results with the Newton so looks like I’m inheriting it. I was hitting it well in the wind and have suddenly fell in love with the 425. Who’d of thought??? I’m also really liking this app: https://golfshot.com/ I’ve finally figured most of it out, and it’s helped with my numbers and swing. Check it out. Hope you all have a blessed and great Saturday! I’m counting my lucky stars today after the tornado that came through the Omaha area. We live in Elkhorn, a small suburb to the west of Omaha and the tornado hit Elkhorn hard. We were lucky and missed the direct path by about 1/2 mile. I copied a link from a a company that captured video of the tornado as it passed by. We live about 1/2 mile north of this business and the tornado was traveling due north at this point in time. We came away with no injuries or property damage but my kids have some friends are homeless today. One of them is on the high school baseball team with my son. Just another reminder to not take life for granted and hug those closest to you. Take care everyone and have a blessed day ahead. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/WWHG3oKLK9Rv43Jw/? I'm glad to hear you and your family are safe and I hate to hear about your son's friends losing their homes. Popular Post ZoonORama
Morning everyone. I haven’t posted in several days. My mother passed suddenly on Tuesday this past week. Dad had passed 4 years earlier. My brother and I are going through a lot of stuff, figuring out the financial accounts and what to do next. She was very organized so she had a lot of it written out but even with all of that, it is a daunting task. I am drained from the past several days. Prior to this event, I had ordered new grips for my Takomo irons. Started having pain in my right hand, specifically middle finger and having trouble gripping. I think between the stick fighting (right handed), drumming and golf swings, I probably aggravated my tendons and such. So, these past several days of not touching a club have helped with the inflammation. This weekend, I’ll probably take a couple of hours to strip off the stock lamkin crosslines and install the Golf Pride CP2 Pro grips. I have those on another set of irons and they are soft and absorb more impact. I think that will help my grip and hopefully ball striking. Leaving next Saturday for Dallas for business. Planning on taking the clubs so we can play the Cowboy’s Golf Course there for a related event. Will be a good diversion. Hope everyone can get out and enjoy good weather but more importantly, if you have living parents, please take a minute to call them today. We often get too busy to appreciate the time we have with them. Life happens, I know. But please, take a few minutes. You won’t ever regret spending “too much” time with someone. Cheers! Popular Post RockerFCC
Good Morning Spies, Mixed bag here today, windy with some rain, more rain tomorrow. Have some work to do on the sim anyway, so not much golf this weekend. Pretty cool testing opportunity with the wedges. Healing thoughts to anyone affected in Neb. Cheers and hit em straight if you can. Preeway, Swood1994, Byrnzee and 12 others 15 Quote Just your "normal" obsessed golfer in search of more shots with names of flying critters...
