Popular Post J7Hawkins
Woke up this AM trying to figure out the situation in KY at Valhalla. Man, I fell bad for Scottie. There’s no better man in professional golf than Scottie and it sucks to see this happen to him, a week after his kid is born and hours before round 2 of a major tournament. What a joke. Just vicious. Knows exactly where to slip in the needle. Which certainly doesn't match his public persona. Competitive personas rarely match or correctly reflect an individual outside of the lines of field, court, etc. One of my former high school classmates was and still is arguably the kindest human being I have ever met in my life. He also was an all-state football, basketball and track athlete, played football at the University of Wisconsin, and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. He was a completely different person when he stepped onto the field, court, or track. Just because someone talks trash well doesn't make them a bad person or reflect their day to day personality. I would argue that the best athletes in the world are the best for that reason. They can get to a different place mentally during competition that allows them to perform at the highest level possible with no regard for who their opponent is. I was more or less the same way with baseball. I could flip a switch and mentally get to a different place when it was time to go out and perform. Popular Post taylorjonasher
Goooooood Friday morning! Workout complete, and I'm working my way through a half day at work today. Packing up for a weekend baseball tournament a few hours west in Des Moines - depending on what time I get back on Sunday I may try to get at least 9 holes in - I'm itchy! Weird situation going on with Scottie this morning, looks like he'll get to play. My guess is that the charges get dropped later, maybe some fines or community service. Looks like they threw as many charges as they could at him, we'll see how it plays out. Anway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday - go get some and make it great!
