I was hoping to get out for some practice today, following a weekend of almost constant rain. The sunny morning has already turned grey so can only hope.

Tee time tomorrow morning at 9.16. Waterproofs at the ready .

Good morning MGSpies from a humid WNY with a passing shower as I was getting up - zero commute today with time shifted back an hour for an afternoon online symposium event, so good thing no tee time today.  Yesterday was a little too much recovery time and inertia kept much from getting done, will have to kick it in gear after work to get one small project complete I only thought about yesterday (but you know thinking is the hardest part, for me anyway haha)  Hope golf is a part of your day!  Mmmm good coffee

Good morning everyone, well the course I played yesterday was the upper st. Claire country club. It's not an actual country club any more it is open to the public. The course was in really great condition, it's pretty open but the greens are really nasty. If You end up above the hole on most of these greens you're screwed, I found out first hand. I shot 47,48,and most shots were lost on the greens. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning spies! Waking up to a humid morning today which is supposed to get hot and humid. I've got nothing planned today or tomorrow, so I'll be doing a lot of grad school. Planning on getting out to the range to work on my game. 

Best shot tournament went pretty well yesterday. We shot -14 and tied for first. We had a stretch of three holes where we just made par which hurt us, but overall, we played well. My game feels pretty good and I'm excited to see how I can continue to play well in the future!

Up early to walk my dog before the heat of the day kicks in. Riley is not a fan of the heat. When there is snow on the ground he could walk forever. Coffee will be enjoyed post walk.

Having some coffee, and getting ready for work. No golf planned this week, might go hit indoors but think I’m gonna take a break from playing.

Morning everyone. Sitting down with my coffee getting ready for work. Wait, it’s still summer and I’m a teacher so that means I’m getting ready for golf . Thunderstorm rolled through an hour ago and tee time isn’t until 10:30. Should have plenty of time for the course to dry out a bit but still have soft greens. Betting hitting the ball well and putting game has been solid. Course is a par 70 so going to play aggressive and see if this can be the day I break 70. With my luck, I’ll shoot 84, lol. Wish me luck.

Good morning all.  Finally had a dry weekend in southern New England. Didn't have a chance to play due to family obligations but was able to roll some putts yesterday evening for about 30 minutes. Hoping to play a twilight round today!

Same with my old pooch. We used to go for really, really long walks when he was a pup (and I was a few years younger too! ) .. now it's 10 minutes s-l-o-w-l-y, sometimes 15-20 if it's a little cooler.....

Typical Monday here, but on the heels of an almost too fun weekend with out of town friends.  54 holes of golf planned for the week so there is lots to look forward to.

WOW… We had that rain thingee hit my part of South Texas…. 15 mins. after finishing golf. Temperature nosed dived and the wet stuff hit.
  The bride person liked the rain on her birthday, I told her that she was welcome. I am in trouble for that one.  The rain was most definitely a God-send; was getting old having to chew the water. 
  Spies, have a great Monday, if having a great Monday is possible.

Cloudy & 81 degrees in Central Florida, only supposed to get up to 90 degrees today .  No golf today. On 2nd Cup of coffee and working from home today.

BTW what an Open (British Open) and what a win by Brian Harman. That man played incredible golf and under some harsh weather conditions.  Outstanding! Harman proved his toughness! Great golf this past weekend, no one could catch Harman.

Good morning everyone! I spent all weekend packing up my house as we have sold it and have to be out by August 1... Super excited for the move though because our new house is at the county club and my backyard will be hole 1! Not only that, but we will be closer to all of our friends and will actually be right next door to my close friend and golf coach! 

 

The reason we are packing up this early is that we are about to leave for San Fransisco for vacation that has been in the works since last November! If anyone has any places to see or places to eat let me know!

Took the dog for a long walk yesterday along a lake and found ourselves on the tarmac and runway of a decommissioned airbase. 

One of those base closures associated with the fall of communism. The structure you see is one of the existing shelters for F-16 fighters. The base is open to walkers, cyclists, baby strollers and dogwalkers, and the shelter is now a cafe with decent beer, coffee and meat and veggie pies. Honestly, the place felt a little northern Californian to me.

Last time we were there, FABWIFE and I did a taste test of all the clam chowders we could find on the Wharf.  It was goofy but we had a great time and the restaurants got a chuckle out of it too.

Good Morning everyone!!  Coffee tastes good and about to start exercises.  Not sure what I'm doing today after mowing the lawn before it gets too hot.  Cooler today but still 96º and we have a Red Flag Warning starting at 11am... winds 20-40mph and 18% humidity, so no golf.

Mistreated, Neglected Dog Hasn't Been Played With In Over 10 Minutes

FT WAYNE, IN — According to sources, a local labrador retriever is being cruelly neglected by his humans as they haven't even played with him in over 10 minutes.

In spite of repeated requests in the form of yips, barks, tail wags, and very sad puppy eyes, all members of the family are callously going about whatever humans do all day without so much as acknowledging the suffering of the poor creature. How cruel! 

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the family did take the dog on a walk this morning and threw the frisbee in the backyard for another 30 minutes when they got home, but then they stopped throwing the frisbee even though the dog really wanted to run after the frisbee again or catch a ball or run or jump around playfully with his humans or chase someone or dig a hole or eat some food. 

Instead, the dog's humans did none of these things, even though the dog wanted them to. Now, he is sitting there very sad, and no one is paying attention to him because they abandoned him and nobody loves him and he wishes there was food and he's all alone and sad.

At publishing time, someone gave the dog some food, confirming them to be the greatest and most wonderful humans in the whole, whole world.

GM everyone.   Quiet morning in the house; my daughter is shifting her sleep pattern to night shift so she is in the stay up late/sleep late mode.   

Watching the rebroadcast of the final round of the Open since I was playing golf yesterday.  

SWMBO wasn’t happy that I played golf yesterday.   I’ve got something going on medically  that my doctor is trying to figure out but I’m not going to stop playing until it gets figured out…been 2 1/2 weeks and he is out of town until tomorrow and probably another week before the next set of tests/appointment gets scheduled.

If you want to do a little driving out of the city, and depending on how much time you have, a few places to see I could suggest include ... North to Point Reyes; West to Ocean Beach and then South on #1 towards Santa Cruz; East to Yosemite or to Lake Tahoe. In the city the Marina district is supposed to have some fun places to eat and go out.
