Popular Post Rob Person
Good evening. Had a home snafu last night, as the water heater decided it was time to exit the party. Spent most of the day sourcing out a sepcific size and wattage tank, as my home has a limited space and juice requirement to run one. After 3 hours at 4 different places, I finally found one. It's funny how a specific item always seems to cost 50% more when you really need it, huh? Anyway, got the old one out, new one in, and installed in under 2 hours. No idea what the previous owner was doing when they plumbed this in, but I've remedied that too. Hope everyone has a good day. On a positive note. My practice net came in! On the negative side, temps of 20⁰ expected for next 4 days! Go figure! The wind was pretty strong. At least it was 55* and sunny. I had to get a round in because it will be pretty cold tomorrow. Two hours to your southeast, weather was similar (also extremely windy) and I had planned to at least go hit some balls at the range. But it turned out I spent much of the afternoon shopping for the GF's birthday, and by the time I finished with that it was too late for the range. Speaking of the GF, get this. Not only does she tolerate my golfing obsession to the point she wants to buy me a garage sim setup, but when we were discussing what to do on her birthday, she proposed going out to dinner followed by a visit to one of Wilmington's golf simulators. She's never hit a golf ball in her life, but she fancies herself a good athlete and wants to try it, and I think she'd like to be able to share the occasional round at the local pitch and putt with me, at least. So I reserved an hour in the sim and she'll get a mini-lesson from a highly unqualified teacher: Me. I'm expecting a lot of whiffs and a few shanks, but maybe if I keep a wedge in her hands she can get a ball or two airborne into the simulator screen. Popular Post GolfSpy_APH
For the first morning in a long time I feel like I am finally somewhat caught up on various things to do. I still have a million projects on the go and various things we are working on as the forum staff can attest to, but after getting those photos up and a few other things done late last night I feel I can be a member here for a few hours! Great breakfast at the curling hall while we have a tournament going on and some good coffee so really hard to complain! In other news, while it won't effect the forum or what I am doing here I have taken on an additional role with MyGolfSpy working with our Forum staff to get more content on the main site. You will see a lot more of the forum staff writing and having articles published and promoted there. We will post these and what we ask of you is if and when possible show the guys some love and make a few comments, if you like the article share it around! These guys work hard on them and have been doing some great work behind the scenes. We of course will all still be on the forum doing our thing, but we hope to see a lot more growth in 2024 and this is part of it. On a personal note I am thrilled to work more with the HQ team and expand my role within MyGolfSpy as this is a company and brand I believe in. I always had the goal of expanding my role, but honestly thought it would kinda be capped with directing for forum. I am thrilled with where the forum is and where we are going to be. We have made a ton of progress and I will make sure that continues (along with the staff), however I am excited to be more involved with HQ, help get more content out to everyone in the golfing world and see where this can take me! Finally and maybe most important for me is the new role or expanded responsibility means I can spend more time at home. At the end of this season I am dropping my World Curling position making ice for events around the world and focusing on being home more with family and enjoying the time seeing my kids grow up and hopefully golfing! If you can’t tell, I’m not a fan. I work with some cool people, two of whom I play golf with, so it’s not terrible but I really did want to sleep in today. Oh well. Starting the day out at -8° with a high of 5° this afternoon. Might stop at Golf Headquarters after work to look at things. Don’t NEED anything! Just browsing and talking with the employees that I know. Taking my old putting mat into one of said golf buddy coworkers today so that he has something to help him get through winter. He got into golf big last season and is really looking forward to spring to get back out on course. I’m just doing my part to make sure it becomes a full blown addiction. Popular Post rkj427
Good morning Spies on what should be the last of the very cold days here for at least a week or so. 4 degrees F, with 10 - 15 mph winds from WNW, gusts to 25 mph make it feel like - 15 degrees F. Good day to stay inside and finish some computer work for the real world job, and watch football later. May also be the plan for me for tomorrow too. Awesome news Jamie, @GolfSpy_APH and we are all looking forward to your success and that of the MGS site and forum. Hope that everyone makes today the best it possibly can be for themselves, and that something enjoyable is part of your plans. ejgaudette, berkeleybob, Byrnzee and 15 others 18 Quote Driver & Fairway: Titleist TSR3 10 degree - Ventus TR Blue & TSR3 15 - Project X Hzrdus Smoke Black Hybrid: Callaway Apex UW 19 - Hzrdus Smoke Black Irons: Titleist T200 3G (4) & T150 - (5-G) - Project X LZ Wedges: Vokey SM8 54, and 58 Putter: Cameron Phantom X 7 Ball: Pro V1 & Maxfli Tour

Stay tuned as 2024 will be one to remember! Well done Jamie and keep up the awesome work you do. It is appreciated by us all. But it was a Vice Pro that I found on a previous hole. Had to give it a try. But you can see how small my greens are . The ball was only 73 yards from the pin. I hope @Yellow Ball doesn't lurk in these threads. I am sure he won't take kindly to that matte finished imposter getting exercise on your golf course. Popular Post Cfhandyman
Good morning all. The winter gods are still messing with us and it’s colder this morning. Even the snow men are up in arms and up the proverbial frozen creek. Have a great Saturday.
