The Good Morning Thread

Good morning all! I’m currently sitting in the clubhouse while the AM flight of our tournament gets a delayed start due to rain. Looks like it’s going to clear out but the course will definitely be damp. We are sitting 5 points off the lead and need a good day today. Anyone have tips for playing in the rain/wet conditions?

I like to pay attention to the lines the ball creates on the green when it's raining. A lot of times you can get a really good idea of the slope of the green by following the line your ball released on.

Another nice Central Florida morning 77 degrees at 8am.  Had a nice 5+ mile walk with the wife, good bonding time! 
2pm tee time, finally getting out.  Hope we can beat the rain!

We are getting some much needed rain today in Central Indiana.  Still, it likely will screw up my afternoon game today.  I am really looking forward to it.  Fingers crossed for both rain and a clear golf window.

Good morning Spies from a much needed rainy Sunday in Michigan. After 21 days without any rain, hoping we get a measurable amount of rain so that the farmers and orchards in my area do not have to worry about any potential crop issues.

Good morning from a rainy Tennessee! Like a lot of others, it's good to see a little water come down from the skies this morning. 

I'm just getting out of bed and settling down with a cup of coffee and enjoying some time with the dogs.

GM & Happy Sunday.  Up early did a few things for SWMBO.  Getting ready for One of our daughters & 2 Gkids flying in Tuesday from CT.  Should be interesting Gkids are growing up fast, 17 & 19!

Cool and cloudy this morning. The coffee is hitting just right. Awoke to an email from the forum to yet another testing opportunity. The MGS Forum Administrators are absolutely killing it with opportunities. So cool to see as it really helps build this great community. I’d encourage everyone to get involved.

So proud of SWMBO, she finished 3rd among the women in the Aqua Bike race yesterday. She was absolutely beaming. My son starts his final term of nursing school this week and was informed that he qualified for membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Rain is in forecast off and on during the week, hopefully I can fit in some golf between the drops.

Hope all have a great one. If you’re golfing today wishing all find fairways & greens.

Good morning from a finally rainy Wisconsin! We didn’t get much, but have had almost zero rainfall in three plus weeks here. Went out on the course last night after the boys were asleep to replay some holes that gave me trouble in yesterday’s round, and got a par on 3 out of 4. Doesn’t count towards yesterday’s round, but still felt good and always can use the extra practice. Hit a 277 yard drive on a Par 5 that I doubled yesterday that carried two left fairway bunkers. Shanked my 3 wood but recovered with a PW that just missed the green. Bump and run with the PW to 14’ and sank the putt for par. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Spies, 

It's much better to breath today with the smoke cleared out from Canada.  Windows are back open letting in the cool 66° air. 

Golfed yesterday, new to us course.  It's a course that I'm sure is a converted crop field. Rough ride bouncing all over. Course wasn't bad and I did alright. Some greens were great others your ball weebled all over the place.

No real plan for today. I hope you all have a fantastic day in whatever you do!  Best of luck to those in NC on trip!

Good morning everyone! I’m spending all day today recovering from the member/guest over the past 4 days and (hopefully) getting to an unboxing for the Clicgear 4.0 push cart (review coming here:)

 It has been an exhausting week but it was an incredible time. If any of you ever have a chance to play in a member guest PLEASE do it! I will 100% be playing in it again next year!

Good morning spies! Happy Sunday to you all. We finally got some rain last night and into the morning and holy smokes we needed it. It's a good thing because I completely forgot to water the plants. Also, no golf for me today. Fiancé is coming home today after being gone on her bachelorette party for the past few days. Planning on spending the evening with her and then maybe getting out in the course tomorrow. Have a good Sunday everyone!

Good morning all.  It seems summer has arrived in North Texas as we are headed to 100+ degrees this week and into the next few as well.
My grandson starts as pitcher later this morning in an 11 year old All Star baseball game. Wouldn’t miss the chance to see him deliver some smoke.  ️️️
I may play 9 this afternoon if possible now that the member guest is done at my club and I will be playing a charity scramble tomorrow morning.  So golf is back on this coming week.

Hit an extra 1/2 to full club if it rains enough to reduce your roll out significantly.  Change gloves often.

Late Good Morning to all. Had a great lesson yesterday (maybe first helpful one ever) and am excited to put it into practice today on the range and over nine this afternoon. Clubs cleaned and ready to go!

Haven't checked in here for a little while. Too much else going on! 

Looks like I'll get out for one last round for a few weeks tomorrow morning.

Was 5 days delayed getting started at work and managed to get all caught up to the point I was able to take an afternoon off. Tomorrow is last day to get it all ready for curlers Tuesday. 

Been an adventure to get it there, but bottom line is it's done. 

Also thanks to all for making this thread so popular. Been so cool to see it take off as it has with 4500 plus posts!

Good afternoon, 

Went to Big Shots (think Top Golf) with track man. Consistently watched my kiddos getting balls out passed 120! 14 y/o lefty wants to tweak the shot shape in his Nike covert with the wrench and settings! I’m thinking he’s hooked y’all! Consistent 290’s with the mini burner and arrow straight, it’s got a full time spot in the bag! Hope everyone has great days and hits em straight!

Same here. Even if I don't post in the morning, I enjoy reading through this thread while I eat breakfast and get ready for work during the week. Love the positivity in here.
