7 wood fever anyone?

Indispensable in the bag. I had a Cobra 7 wood for many years, 2 years ago updated to a Ping G425 7 wood which has a 22 degree loft.  I love it, for me I use it for up to say 165 yards, but also on shorter Par3, lets say 140-150, I will put it out and take something off the swing speed (to avoid irons off the tee).  I love the arc and it stops on the green like an iron.  I am even considering a 9 wood that Ping has now, but i have not been able to find a place that I can demo it and get potentially fitted.  I often times use this instead of the 5 wood and just then take a slightly longer approach shot it (as the 7 wood I can keep in play more often give it is easy to hit).

Currently have a Callaway Rogue ST Max 7W (21*). It's a stiff shaft and I could do with XS, so I'll replace it when funds allow. Not sure what I'd go for, but the TSR2 is high on the list.

I love my rogue st drivers.  If you go to sell that rogue 7 wood send me a message please.

I have a PXG 0311 7 wood and absolutely love it. One of the best clubs in my bag whether I’m hitting it off of the tee or in the fairway. Gives me a lot of birdie opportunities on par 5s and such. I can’t see myself not having a 7 wood in the bag.

I've been keeping an eye out for a reasonable priced 7wood, but they are the most elusive club, ESPECIALLY for us lefty's 😞 I've seen them for either $350 for new models, or up to $200+ for 5 year old models. How is this still possible?

Just checked Callaway pre-owned and they have last years Paradym left handed Heavenwoods and 7 woods for less than $200. The bigger problem may be if you need a stiff shaft as the shafts are regular or light. You could buy one of these clubs and a shaft on the pre-owned, but as you indicated that would get the price above $200. I have used pre-owned for a long time and they sell the clubs as is, so they haven't been willing to swap the shaft out for you. I actually bought my Epic Heavenwood as a ladies club as it's the same head and bought a separate shaft. At the time the ladies clubs were way cheaper and I saved overall vs buying a mens club straight up. They have since closed that loophole!

BTW, the shaft problem is the same for right and left handers. Tough to find a 7 wood with stiff shaft unless ordered new.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Driver: Callaway Epic 9 degree, stiff (set at 10 degrees with the movable weight in the center}

FW: Callaway Epic 3,5, heaven wood w/ regular shaft (driver shaft in 3 wood, 3 wood shaft in 5 wood, 5 wood shaft in heaven wood, all three set at neutral plus 1 degree)

Hybrids: Callaway BB19 4,6,7 (4 set at neutral plus 1 degree and 6 and 7 set at neutral minus 1 degree for gapping purposes)

Irons: Callaway Rogue ST Max 8, 9, PW

Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM6 50,54,58

Ball: Titleist Pro V1, 1X, Vice Pro Plus or anything I find that day and try out for the fun of it (I haven't bought balls with my own money in at least 10 years)

I appreciate it! I've been keeping my eye on callaway preowned, 2ndswing and global golf. I do have a paradym 7w in my cart right now in "average" condition. I'm hoping if i pull the trigger on this one it won't show up with tone of scratches/sky marks on it. I want that canvas all to myself to scratch up

One might say I carry two 7 wood-ish clubs in my bag.  My normal 7 wood is a Ping G with a senior shaft.  For me, it's my 150-155 yard club.  I also carry a Callaway GBB Epic Heavenwood delofted 2 degreed (20 to 18 degrees) to make it like a five wood.  I like the slightly bigger head and slightly longer shaft the Heavenwood offers.  My Heavenwood is my "go to" fairway wood.

Today I didn't play my best, except for two par threes.  My Ping G 7 wood performed well on our 13th hole which was playing 148 yards into a 20+ mph constant wind.  With the back pin placement, I was pin high 12 feet away.  I missed the birdie but more importantly collected $10 for closest to the pin!

Just ordered a Taylormade Q10 7 wood to add to my bag.  The club was excellent in the Trackman simulator and hoping it will carry over to the course.

I highly recommend the Ping G430 7 Wood.  Ball flight and distance are $$$$.

I’ve been looking for a used g430 for a while with a stiff shaft. Hard to find. I was hoping to find one down here at the beach but haven’t had a chance to go club shopping.

Trying to find a TSr2 7 wood has also been a difficult task. Really don’t want to buy new, especially with a DI shaft

Put my Taylormade Qi10 7 wood into play for my first round of  the season and I love it!  The ball jumps off the face with a great ball flight!  Definitely worth the investment.

I've been looking for a 7 wood for a few months now and I finally bought an Epic Flash Heavenwood off of ebay, but didn't realize how big the heavenwood head is; It looked too similar to my TS2 3wood head and shaft was too heavy and stiff for me. So, returned that and now waiting on a used Paradym 7W coming in a few days. I really like the shallow faces of the Callaway, Cobra and Ping fairways. Feels/looks really easy to hit off the ground.

If you're looking to try out a 7 wood but don't want to pay a lot for something new, might I suggest this MaltbyKE4 TC Pro FW Pak - https://www.golfworks.com/maltby-ke4-tc-pro-ist-fairway-wood-paks/p/pma0346/. For the money, you can't beat it. I'm giving it a go when it arrives soon.

I wanted to try that, but CPO got me with a new Paradym 7w.

I have the HyWay 21* from Maltby that is a go-to at my lake place when I carry 6-7 clubs.

Really impressed with my new 7 wood so far! First shot on the course was 215 out, 2nd shot on a par 5, and put it on the green! Unfortunately 3 putted for a par.

IMG_4844.png.d02adcdba85b0cbaf9ba3208cb195d4a.png

Also used it off the tee a couple of times. One on a short dogleg hole that give me a fit. 230 or so in the fairway. The other I pulled into the trees.

I’m really happy so far. I’ve really struggled with fairway woods and had completely taken them out of my bag.
