Geez guys - give Scratch a little bit of a break. MGS is just is trying to give us a not ready for prime time peek into what's coming from them.

 

I will tell you... what peeked my interest is seeing on Twitter the mention that Don White will be working on the putter that will be awarded to the contest winner. Don White, for those of you who don't know, is a legendary clubmaker who has moved from MacGregor to Scratch. Google him for more info. Getting Don is a major accomplishment for them.

 

 

IIRC, Don White is the guy that Jack Nicklaus has always used as his personal club man. That, my friends, is a huge "get" by both Scratch Golf and the lucky winner of the contest.

OK, now that makes sense.

 

 

The few really good club makers are like good NFL coaches....they seem to make the rounds and end up with just about every team eventually, or at least at some point. Clay Long is another one like Don White that have been around for a while and made some really great clubs for different people.

Look for the finished photos, I think that you will find the welds much nicer and tighter.

I don't think we had the finished ones then. I too complained about the welds until I realized that they were just rough.

The spanking was preemptive for the anti-yellow comment.

Feel free to game that 5000 bud. If we ever get to play a round together and you still have it in the bag then I will just shield my eyes so it doesn't burn my retinas everytime you tee off. :(

Once I hit it and the sound ruptures your ear drums, your eyes will be the least of your concerns. :)

 

At least you didn't go for the original square Nike SUMO. Those are even worse. Your sense of smell probably didn't receive any adverse effects, unless you used one of those new GSS's that NGage was hyping in the Scotty Putter Case thread.
