Popular Post GolfSpy_APH
Okay I will keep this brief, but when I moved to Swtizerland there was a ton of stress with moving to another country during the pandemic along with my partner and our dogs came too. I had my permit, however she came on a visitors visa and wasn't able to find work and had to go back to Canada as her 90 days were up. She spent 4 months in Canada and came back end of February. Our family was reunited, however we still didn't have her visa sorted. Today that all changed! After months of paperwork, hoops, jumps, delays and more today we got a letter in the mail saying her Marriage Preparation Visa Extension has been approved so we can actually plan a wedding and have it when we want it. For reference she had 11 days left on this visitors visa until she would have had to go back and go through the nightmare that is Canada's quarantine system. This was incredibly stressful and a huge weight has been lifted. I already feel I have 10 times more energy and am happier. She is an incredible girl and I am so lucky to have her and now we can truly start planning out our lives here and although I still am waiting on my B (longer term residence and working permission), this was a huge hurdle and we are passed it. Thank you to @revkevfor reaching out last summer, it was really needed and very thoughtful. This is a great community and with that I'll end this. Enjoy the wedding planning and your future together! Thanks! A lot really and truly. I have talked to a few members here who have gone through visa's it is never easy. It is always a lot of paperwork and often not a very clear process. Often there are various routes to apply for and Covid certainly has made it more challenging from travel to amount of hours offices are open and more. In my case there was also a language difference which can provide some challenges. I am fortunate to have a very patient and understanding partner who has been able to roll with all of this over the last year as well as an employer who is very supportive in providing me with the resources and help that has been required along the way. In the end just very happy to have the family together and now imagine what damage I can do in Ftx now that this monkey is off my back! For good measure I'll add one last picture of the dogs because they always make peoples days better. Popular Post fixyurdivot
Swapped the irons for the fly rods yesterday. Spring runoff is close at hand and water/weather conditions are so good right now. Floated the Madison River and the March Browns and Caddis were bringing even the most reluctant fish out of their winter coma's. I spent most of the day in a favorite side channel and had one of the best days on this section I can recall. While moving down river to another side channel, this little fella swam straight out to my boat from under a tree snag. He kept chirping and following me. With heavy water coming up, I reached down and lifted him up and rowed to the bank. He was soaked and seemed cold - so I sat with him for a few minutes. I was amazed how unafraid of me he was. PXL_20210514_213654030.mp4 I remembered seeing a pair of Canadian Geese further upstream and wondered if he/she was part of their clutch. So I carried him inside my fleece vest, back that way, hoping to find them but never did. I figured I was close however and there was a small wet, marsh area off the river that I figured he'd be able to hang out and, hopefully, his chirps would be heard. So I left him there and headed back to the boat. I no sooner had I began rowing before he again was swimming frantically toward the boat... RU kidding me . So, back over to shore again and I called my wife. She contacted a neighbor/friend who's DIL works at the vet office and also at a wildlife rescue facility in Billings. She said to bring him home and they would care for him. So, he spent the rest of the day inside my fleece vest. This facility in CO handles similar situations. It looks like you had a wonderful day on the river, its beautiful out there. Glad to hear you caught some, rainbows are just pretty fish. Thank you for rescuing that little goose, I was just smiling as you talked about how the little fella was following you. Sounds like a perfect day on the river, especially since you got visited by that moose to end the trip. I just couldn't leave him behind...no way he survives. I guess I'm just an old softy at heart. PXL_20210514_213654030.mp4 20 MB · 0 downloads I remembered seeing a pair of Canadian Geese further upstream and wondered if he/she was part of their clutch. That’s a great day by anyone’s standards!! We had experience last week golfing. We saw a Hawk grab a baby duck as Momma and her brood tried to flee. We got to the spot and chased the Hawk from the chick. Lucky the chick didn’t seem to be hurt and after a few minutes reunited baby chick and the brood. They all swam away. We never got any pictures, we were wrapped up saving the little guy. Funny how our protective instincts emerge. While rowing the rest of the way down river with him snuggled inside my vest, I saw many Redtail hawks and bald eagles in the cottonwoods... all reaffirming my decision . artful_golfer, tony@CIC, GolfSpy_SHARK and 3 others 6 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Official Review) AI-One Milled Seven T CH (Official Review)
tommc23
Had my puppies, puppy test and she did good she got the max score available and I’m proud of her. Most dogs don’t do that well at a year old and she is 6 months old. MattF, tony@CIC, GolfSpy_SHARK and 2 others
