2018 What equipment will be refreshed?

Recommended Posts

I'm obviously in the market for some new sticks. Tried a few swings cause the shoulder is feeling decent, and I have around zero strength in my left arm right now. So next spring will be like learning it all over again.

Anyways. My top 5 list is below. Any idea if cobra will refresh their MB/CB, or Srixon Update their MB's? Maybe a M18 driver? KING F8?

Driver

1. F7+

2. 765

Irons

1. Cobra KING MB

2. Titlest 718 MB

3. Wilson FG100 MB

4. Mizuno MP-18

Wedges

1. Cobra PÅ«r

2. JP... haha yeah right

Putter

1. Something that works

Srixon irons aren't due for an update until next fall due to their 2-year cycle. No idea on any of the other irons being refreshed, although I do know Wilson won't be doing anything with the tour 100's - if it ain't broke...

Their new driver, FW, hybrid and irons, however, look pretty intriguing....

As in what OEM equipment will be refreshed or what in my bag might be?

I don't care in regards to OEMs

In my bag the only candidates are

Driver - only if I can gain more than a couple of yards.

And wedges from SCOR to Hogan which is essentially the same thing.

Both are 50/50 possibilities.

I'm at a point with equipment where it's the Indian and not the arrow. That's a great place to be.

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

No more Mizuno dream land?

I haven't had a chance to see them in person. But from what I've read, and seen with pictures the top line is a bit chunky for my taste. I could just be too picky and I'll never be satisfied. That's probably a safe bet.

The JPX900 Tour is so much thinner than your Rocketbladez Tour

I'm sure if it, from what I remember they are very compact. These RBZ's are clunky, and they have no feel.

And I can't imagine that the F6 Wilson's top-lines are very thin.

If you want a set of compact butter knives, why even look at something new?  You can buy something used for a fraction of the price.  And we know that there hasn't been much tech advancements in butter knifes.

Hahaha! Yeah. I have problems. Honestly them dang cobra MB's in black look almost paper thin. I should have pulled the trigger in May like I was going to. But testing the i200's put a stop to that.

You're right. I've been waiting for a used set to pop up at a decent price. I do like the tungsten plug in the cobras though, just a hint of “forgiveness.”
