mooremikea
Whatever grip you choose ask Sub 70 if they take the grip weight into account when figuring out the swing weight. If you look at the weight difference between the grips recommended they vary by quite a bit. If you are not sensitive to swing weight then it might not a big deal but grip weight can change the swing weight by more than just a couple of points. Grit Golf
I’ve tried just about everything and keep coming back to GP your velvet and Lamkin REL ACE. I install my grips with no tape, stretched to 10.5” (undersized).I just bought a PXG driver and it came with the PXG Z5 (logoed up lamkin z5) grip. I love the bottom hand grip alignment lines and REL ACE pattern under the top hand. If I can catch a deal on a set I may buy em!Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Quote “He’s a Cinderella story. GolfSpy AFG
Favorite grip is hands down the tried and true Golf Pride MCC. Played the Winn Dri-Tac for a long time but found they wore out quickly. Played the Lamkin UTX wrap for a couple seasons too and liked those but (to the best of my knowledge) they don't make the wrap anymore. A couple points of advice or things to consider that I'd humbly submit... 1) It's not written anywhere that you have to play the same grip all the way through the bag. My set is wearing the MCC, but my wedges are gripped with a Super Stroke grip that is much softer and probably less durable. In those clubs I think I've found some benefit in something a little softer that might offer a little more feel, and I'm willing to change them out more often if necessary. 2) I highly recommend a grip cleaning wipe to restore or maintain tack over the course of the season, like these... russtopherb 1 Quote Driver: TSR2, Ventus Blue 6 S, 65g Stiff FW: TSR2 3w, 15, Ventus Blue 7 S, 70g Stiff Hybrids: Apex Pro 3H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Stealth DHY 4H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Irons: SMS 5-6, SMS Pro 7-PW, Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff Wedges: SM9 48 F Grind, 52 F Grind, 56 M Grind, Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff Putter: Sri-Hot 5K Triple Wide, Stroke Lab shaft Ball: Pro V1 Click here for my HONMA TR20 Official Review! Kenny B
Our one golf store opened last month, and I went in to have them adjust the lie angle on a 5i I had ordered to match my set. While there I saw a set of clubs that had the Jumbo Max (Dechambeau) grips in the regripping area. WOW! They're big! I asked who would put those on? The owner of the store said that an old guy wanted them on. He played them for a week, and now they were back to have them taken off!! At $13 a piece why would you just have one put one to try out?? NRJyzr
Normally, I'd have said some form of the Lamkin Crossline. But, I'm transitioning to leather, specifically the GripMaster Roo.
