null
Got to the range again this morning. First thing I did was open the face of the driver (lofted down 1 degree) and it sat better at address to my eye. This allowed me to swing a little more freely and I got a much straighter ball flight. The adjustments I made to my swing continued to help with the irons and it is nice to hit the sweet spot on the MIMs. When hit solid, they feel really good. On mishits, the sounds is more harsh than my Mizunos. Really really enjoyed taking my first swings with my wedges. The 60 degree widelow was very easy to open up and hit some flop shots off the range mat. I am curious to how it will perform out of soft sand and deep rough. I am playing either tomorrow or Saturady, so I am looking forward to getting the first round in with the full set of Cobras! null
First round with the full bag of Cobras today and it was more down than up. Wedges are phenomenal. Absolutely in love with them. Driver was inconsistent (still seeing some really low spinners high on the face). Irons were inconsistent. I’m really trying to make these shafts work and seem to be able to manufacture a usable swing on the range but it all falls apart on the course when I’m just trying to play golf. When I center the irons they are LONG. Like a club longer than my Mizunos. However I just cannot time them consistently. The Arccos data speaks for itself. LeftyMatt89
Excited to get some swings in tomorrow with the full set. I did some comparison pictures of the Radspeed 6 iron to my T100 6 iron and the Radspeed 8 iron to my 620CB 8 iron. Additionally, I did a comparison of the 60 degree Snakebite full face wedge to my RRTX zipcore 60. I really like the way the wedges look, they look very forgiving but still very sleek. I am ready to begin my one length journey with 4 hybrid through lob wedge. The irons will take some getting used to with distances but I hope to be able to do a gapping session before the competition begins. These cobra clubs look great and even coming from T100/620CB type of irons. When I put the iron next to a ball it screams confidence and forgiveness. Two traits I hope are true for the competition. gavinski91, Brian A, MattF and 5 others 5 3 Quote Driver: TSR3 8 Ventus Red TR 8X Fairway: TSi2 16.5 Ventus Blue 8X Hybrid: Sim 2 - 19 Hybrid Tensei Orange 90TX Irons: P790 4-5 P7MC Raw 6-PW MMT 125TX Wedges: SM8 50.10F, 54.10S - X100 & 58.04T S400 Putter: Lajosi DD201 Pro V1X Left Dash

knightsofnii
Tech question about cobra radspeeds and their standard GI clubs as it is the same for rads, speedzones, f9, women or mens: Loft gapping from irons to hybrids. I am looking to get my wife a hybrid and a fairway. She has f9 7-sw, and a speedzone 6i with the f9 shaft offering. 6i is 24°. The 5 hybrid is 24°. I'm probably answering my own question in that we should get the 4h 21°. What did you all choose and where did you split it? What FW would you choose? Should we not even bother w hybrids and get 3 and 5 woods? (3w is 18, 5w is 22.5) Is there more to it? Is Cobra saying a 6i should be coupled with a 5h even though the 6i is a stronger loft? Is there more to it with the dynamic launch angle per club? I always just thought, within the same brand, if you stop at 6i, then start with 5h. Popular Post txgolfjunkie
I was fortunate enough to play a quick twilight round yesterday and the world has officially flipped upside down. Driver: Missed one fairway. Tight draws all day. Only had one bad swing that didn't have the distance as the other drives. Finally felt comfortable over the club. Finally could swing the club without trying to guide it. 3 Wood: Total distances of 277, 284 and 279 off the tee. All hit the fairway. My playing partner kept commenting on how it looked like a sledgehammer off the tee...and it sure felt like it. 5 Wood: Really good off the tee. Really good off the fairway. Finally getting some use out of it and a think a little lead tape on the toe would straighten it out. 4U: I turned this to the standard draw setting because it just sat too flat for me. Once I made the adjustment at the turn, it started to straighten out and worked out great off the tee. Irons: They didn't cooperate and didn't want to fly at the target. My misses were right and I'm curious if my takeaway isn't a little outside/in causing the slight pull. Regardless, I still hit a lot of greens despite my misses were right of the target...but I play a right-to-left fade. Whoops. Wedges: Meh. Most of my issues were dealing with long, common bermuda grass where the ball just settles deep into it and I wasn't prepared for that. A couple of short-sided approaches lead to delicate flops that I made sure I had a putt coming back versus leaving it short. I bladed a downhill bunker shot only to then hit a perfect flop to a foot from the cup. That pretty much summed up my round with the wedges. Putter: New putter, same story. I'm about to just give up that part of the game. Or try putting right handed. Or stop watching the pros on TV pour it in from all over the green. Regardless. I hit a lot of tight fades averaging around 210-220 yds. The driver will take a little time to get used to as I love my current gamer, Ping G410 plus. I hit the Cobra driver decent, not great. A couple misses left and right but overall averaged around 275-285 yds. Here's a couple shots from the Rapsodo. You going to crank the driver up a bit? Looks really low - I hit mine waaaaaay higher than that. On one of our holes, you wouldn't make it "up" the hill to the fairway. If you’re referring to the Rapsodo launch angle and shot tracers from those videos, those did not accurately show the flight path at all. The range I was hitting on goes up hill and was throwing off the shot tracers. That’s one knock I have with the Rapsodo is the shot tracer. I might not sky my drives, but I’ve never had any issues with clearing any hills off the tee. I have my current settings for the Cobra at +1 on the 9 degree head as that produced the best results for me during the fitting. null
Got out for a quick 9 during lunch today. The struggles with the driver and the irons continue. When struck well they fly great. Though the driver seems to be way more penal on mishits when compared to my G410LST. High toe strikes lose a ton of spin. The irons will continue to be frustrating. I can tell they are fantastic irons, but a poor fit is a poor fit. Continue to love the wedges. Got to hit out of some green side bunkers today and both the 60 widelow and 54 versatile heads gave me great feel and touch out of the sand The King Utility iron. My lord. This thing is bonkers off the tee russtopherb, txgolfjunkie, ejgaudette and 3 others
