Popular Post rkj427
Good morning Spies from another cool, damp Michigan morning. Popular Post fixyurdivot
Top of the pot spies . Well, it appears the normal summer temps here in AZ have arrived. It was 105F yesterday when my Monday group finished. Love these guys but they prefer playing late (1000 or later) times all year. That's great for winter but zapped me yesterday . The wind came up half way through the round and I'm not so sure that helped; I felt like a piece of turkey jerky in a dehydrator . I drank water like a fish. After the round, a couple of them suggested adding some electrolyte powder or buying premix Gatoraide type bottled drink. Last night I purchased some Propel powder packets and will see if they help. Always loved the late afternoon t-storms that would roll in from the west when we were in MT. We could see most of them coming from the homestead but occassionaly we'd be on the river in the canyon area and they'd sneak up on us . One was a mini microburst. Temp went from mid 80's to 40's in less than a couple minutes, winds were, well, scary (guessing 60+), and hail was crazy heavy but fortunately mostly nickel sized. We jammed ourselves under a small bridge at waters edge for some protection. For a few minutes after it stopped, the Ruby River looked like a slushy.
