I got to play a leisurely 18 yesterday afternoon in the heat (which was good for my back), and played pretty well.  Like @Rickp I had a close call, not for an ace, but just missed the eagle with this 130 yard PW into the wind.  It felt so pure, spun back just past the hole, and my playing partner said he didn't even hear the club hit the ball it was so soft.  Those are rare for me, and definitely the ones that keep me coming back.    (Maxfli Tour S ball btw.)

My buddy is a consistent mid-high 70's player and always beats me, but he has such a friendly and supportive demeanor I don't begrudge him that at all.  Nonetheless, when I dare him to pull driver on the tight 315 yard par 4, that's probably when I get fired.  LOL.

Happy Friday.  We had a very interesting situation develop last night.  Group in front of us was three kids goofing around quite a bit.  They didn't do anything too terrible until the 8th hole.  One of the kids drove past a creek where his tee shot went in, only to realize he should back up and drop behind the water/weeds.  Only problem was he couldn't quite figure out how to back up straight and almost ended up going into the water.

The back wheels were off the ground and dangling over the culvert.  Another few inches and he would have tipped the entire cart over.  His "buddies" left him behind to face the music while they stayed up by the green (you can see them in the top left corner of the picture).  We called a ranger down and were able to lift the cart out without any real damage, other than the kid's pride of course!

Top of the morning to you all. The dreaded "Marine Layer" is making its presence felt here in Baja, MX. That marine layer will be playing havoc with the US Women's Open as well a little further up the coast today and through the weekend. I played at Bajamar Golf Resort yesterday. It is often compared to Pebble Beach with its ocean views over the closing 5 holes. But, it is certainly no Pebble Beach in terms of overall stunning beauty. The USGA has done a great job in prepping the course and Pebble Beach has done the rest. Absolutely beautiful. I wish all the women well this week at the US Women's Open.

My best to all of the Golf Spies out there. Hit 'em straight ladies and gentlemen.

Good Morning everyone!  Early start again today for more honey-dos.  Coffee down and exercises about to start.  My wife played in our clubs first Ladies Thursday nite Nine 'n Wine last night in 100º heat.  It was a foursome scramble and her team tied for first; got low gross because the other team took low net.  

We are losing our second couple that we play with on weekends to them moving out of state.  A year ago a couple I knew and started playing golf with many years ago moved to Colorado.  A couple we have been playing with since last summer announced they are moving to Dublin, GA.  I don't think it was anything I said and I do shower before our rounds, but people leaving town to not play with us is starting to bug me.    Now the search begins for new partners.

Good Friday Morning Spies! 

Beautiful Central Florida morning.  It was already 80 degrees at 7:15am, made for a sweaty range time.  It was an ok range time, got it in this morning, just in case afternoon rains hit.  Finally drinking first cup of coffee, ready for the 2nd! Working from home again today, putting put more fires!

We had thunderstorms and lots of rain until 6:15 ish this morning.  All 12 guys showed up for our our Tee Times the 1st time of 7:00am.  It was a little sloppy but played in worse.  The only hole I like on this cousins the 8th hole (125) par 3 all water carry and a huge tree in left side that covers 1/3 of the green, o I forgot about traps.  I mania decent tee shot to 5’ missed bird putt for a par.  
All the Boyz had a great breakfast!!

Good morning/afternoon my friends! It is quite wet here today so I'm not sure my afternoon tee time will hold up... My goal was to play a round of golf each day until I leave for NY on Tuesday but that hope may die today. Otherwise, this weekend is shaping up to be quite fun with golf, a cookout, and a family birthday party on Sunday. Looking forward to going low tomorrow! Have a day!

Well Kenny, now that you brought it up... .  It's always a bummer to lose good playing partners; especially a couple since you and Martha play together so often.  Hopefully you guys will find a suitable replacement.

Good morning Spies. No golf for me today, played yesterday, and have a round scheduled for tomorrow. Forecast here is for rain this afternoon through late night, then back to sunny and low 80's tomorrow.

Have some real world work to finish up, so a rainy day makes that tolerable.

Morning, all!

Working on the second cup. No golf today. I have not played in over a month, we took a European vacation for a few weeks. Once I got back to Georgia, it seemed to rain daily in the afternoons and even a few driving ranges were closed due to flooding the other day. 90° and 125% humidity makes for miserable golf.

Off to play pickleball with the wife. That's not a euphemism...

Good morning all. Member/Guest tournament is here with three 9 hole matches today and two tomorrow to try and make it into the shootout tomorrow afternoon. I of course slept terrible and was awoken very early by our three year old, so caffeine will be my friend

Looking forward to a day full of golf, food and fun! Will try to provide updates in the Cobra challenge thread and my Breaking 90 thread as the day goes along!

Good Morning everyone!  Early start today waiting in bed for my coffee with Kirkland Irish Cream.   At 4:30am it’s still 75º..We have a 7pm tee time both days this weekend to beat the heat.  Had to fix another sprinkler that wasn’t working properly yesterday in the middle of the heat.

Yup, I have to check my irrigation system, next door neighbor had major landscaping last 3 days and my sprinkler heads got trampled on.

Made it out here in record time .. like very light traffic, minor slowdowns in construction zones, etc .. I'm truly amazed, it takes me longer to get around LI sometimes!!

Good morning spies and happy Saturday!!! 55° and sunshine this morning with highs expected to be in the high 70s. Playing in a four person best shot for the first time today and I’m just hoping to keep it straight. Played 18 this week on both Wednesday and Thursday to get some of the vacation rust off so I think I’ll be fine.

Plan for yesterday after work was to mow the yard but it started raining as I walked out of work and continued off and on until dark last night. Now it looks like I have a jungle to tend to. I guess we’ll see what time I get back today or be hopeful for more sunshine tomorrow.

Good morning Spies!

Just waking up at the moment, and making some coffee. Got some rain last night to break the heat, low 80s today.

Heard from the pro shop and clubs are done being regripped. So, gonna go pickup and play 18 this afternoon. Booked another 9 bright and early Sunday before hockey later in the afternoon. Gonna be sore come Monday, but I’ll be worth it!

Good morning everyone! I am spending my morning cleaning up the house before we have 3(!) showings today. Luckily for me, we have to be out of the house for a few hours and there was a tee time available at the course haha! I'm playing well right now and am going to try to work on some things on the range and on the course today to see how they feel. One thing I'm needing practice with is my shot selection close to the green. I find myself wanting to hit the high flop type shot far too often than I think it is necessary. I have a pretty solid low runner chip/pitch that I need to incorporate more but I need to understand when and where it is best to hit each one. So, that is my mental gymnastic exercise for the next few rounds! Have a day!
