Popular Post IndyBonzo
Good morning, Spies! I'm off to get some coffee, then to the gym before an absolutely nutty workday begins. Fingers crossed; it may be a long one. But I *will* get to the range and get the first hits in on the Qi10 today so I can post some first impressions, and for my mental health! Also, planning on restarting speed training after the gym. Oh, and I may trap and kill a gator, skin it, make gator jerky, bring peace to the Middle East, and build a cold fusion reactor, all before dinner. I hope you all have fantastic Tuesdays! rkj427, Josh Parker, snoopy79 and 14 others 7 2 8 Quote Working at getting better ... and very slowly getting there. Popular Post THE GOLF GUY
Part #1 Good morning my fellow MGspies, I played yesterday and had a horrific day for the most part , I shot an 86. The winds were blowing a lot more than the weather forecasted, winds were gusting all day 20-30 mph ! It was definitely a challenge all day to hit good shots . I did have one good hole though ,which is an uphill , dog leg left par 5. Typically, I hit a 3 wood off the tee and a 5 wood into the green. With the wind fiercely blowing into our faces on that hole , I hit driver , then a driver off the deck onto the front part of the green and made a 50 footer for eagle . I guess the golf gods said enough punishment for this fellow , for one day. Let the man have a good hole so he’ll come back Part #2 Hello guys , just to let you know I went to range with one of my golf buddies today. Sometimes, you just need a separate set of eyes , because in this game what we think we see is an illusion. As you know , my wedges and irons have been needing work and I got sick of complaining and ready to take it head on . Interesting enough , was the fact that my club face was open at address and my alignment was totally off … Thanks Randy ! After some slight adjustments , I was getting back on track and really started to see some good changes . I know that , it’ll be a work in progress but thankful that my friend was very helpful and knew firsthand my frustrations . He told me afterwards , “ I saw what was going on , but I figured I’d wait til you were ready to ask for help “. Now I felt really stupid because my pride and stubbornness got in the way of an earlier fix . Lesson learned and glad that we have friends who know how hard this game can be at times and eager to help , if only we ask ! Have a great night fellows ! Popular Post rkj427
Good morning Spies on a warmer, cloudy Michigan day. Mid 60's for the high, but maybe some rain too. We could use the rain, both because it has been a drier February, but also to wash the salt residue off the roads. Normal work day for me, but hoping to get some swings in outdoors on the front lawn afterwork while the daylight stays along. Popular Post Samuel09152
Good morning Everyone! Glad to be back online. It has truly been a wild month. Child, work, child, work, blah, blah, blah.... AC just cant catch a break goes from pink eye to croup to hand, foot, and mouth now. Her momma is a saint, we have been taking turns taking off work, which could not have happened at a worst time. Working close to 55 hrs weeks right now to pay for day care that AC cant go to because of sickness. But we are blessed to have a baby girl, a daycare, and two jobs that are understanding of what is going on. Just wishing AC would start feeling better, hate seeing her sick... But this has given me time to read alot about the mental game and diving into that aspect of golf. Still have a problem with accepting shots, but will get better. Changing mindset is the toughest thing I think in golf, and that is why I have started playing with alot of older guys around me. Playing with them seems to be about fun while competitive. They seem to care but not care all at the same time. I am hoping it rubs off on this "way to bad to be this competitive guy". Thank yall for still being here, I have been trying to read to keep up when I can. Y'all are the best. As always, BE THE BLESSING!! HIT EM STRIAGHT!! and ROLL TIDE!! Already before today its the third hottest february on record. Not good. Anyway may as well play some golf while the world attempts to burn. Gonna have to freebase some claritin or allegra or something though. The trees are already starting to go nuts. Its too soon I tell you! jbern, Michael.Sandoval33, Byrnzee and 10 others 8 5 Quote Stack Referral code Driver - Sim2Max 10.5° (set at 9*) UST Helium shaft 3W - StealthHL 16.5° 3h - Sim2max 19° irons - Sim2OS kbsmax85mt steel shafts reg flex 5i-Aw wedgies - Jaws MD5 52°-10° (Bounce) S Grind Jaws MD5 56°-12° (Bounce) W Grind Putter - Mizuno OMOI Type II Final Sugar "Pure" Golf Balls Review
Popular Post Shrek74
Good morning and happy Tuesday (aka Second Monday) everyone. Bit cloudy this morning, with rain on the way as well as a wind advisory from this afternoon until tomorrow morning. On the good side, temps are up to mid 50s already with mid to high 60's coming several times over the next 7 days. Just with a lot of yucky rain off and on starting tomorrow morning. It's good for the lakes and ponds, especially on the courses. So I guess that's something. Just another day of work, with nothing really special today. Regardless, everyone have a wonderful day!
