Good morning spies!

It’s a beautiful day in Chicago and I’m gearing up to head to Olympia Fields for round 3 of the BMW Championship. It’s been several years since I’ve last attended a tour event in person and I couldn’t be more excited. 

I’m pulling for Max Homa this week so I’m rocking my Positive Vibes Only (PVO) hat to show my support.

Good morning spies… May you all make this Saturday special in some kind of way. 
  Well…. Yesterday was not nearly as strange as Thursday was. Still found my golf ball had a tendency to leave the course proper, but not as much. It wasn’t as if I was on an expedition, more like a short day-trip. Still, as you can see from below, some of the residents along the course don’t seem quite as friendly and forgiving as I remember. 
  Anyhow, today we are going to concentrate on course management. Going to try to not only stay on the course that I am playing but also going for the “brass ring” of staying on the hole I am suppose to be on.. Hopefully I limit my galavanting before the residents run out of patience.

Good morning MGSpies on a cool but sunny WNY Saturday.  Played 18 yesterday that was like Derek of old with plenty of singles and doubles to keep the handicap from sinking down anytime soon, and then the 17th and 18th holes the game became two pars  bringing the card in double digits at 98.  Today is PGA HOPE Down Range for program graduates at Niagara Frontier GC, looking forward to more golf with best friends some of whom I might not know yet.  Hope golf is a part of your day!

Good morning Spies,

No golf this morning. Supporting my wife this weekend. She is competing in a 5k swim on Lake George. I’m playing swim dad cheering her on in a camp chair 2 cups down and a morning glory muffin in with fully charged Kindle. If you’ve ever witnessed open water swims there really isn’t much to see once they enter the water and until they finish. But this is proud duty for me as she supports my golf addiction. We celebrated our son last night as well. He completed his BS in Nursing yesterday. So much to be grateful for.

Good morning all! The Sandbox at Sand Valley was nothing short of incredible last night. I took some photos but they do not do the setting and landscape justice. Super laid back, barefoot, music playing round of golf and honestly the most fun I’ve ever had on a golf course. For anyone who comes to Midwest Wisconsin, SV is a must stop. Hope everyone has a great day!

That course looks spectacular, Jason. I think the photos did a pretty good job of showing how great that course looks. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying getting to play it.

GM & Happy Sunday!!!  No golf again today have to wait to Monday.  Didn’t realize how shrubs have gotten overgrown in just a few months so have to keep working on them.  BUT first taking SWMBO out for breakfast.  
She has Crab Legs planned for dinner this afternoon so they’re always good.

Good morning and happy Sunday Spies! Day two of soccer tournament on tap today with temps into the mid-90s. Yesterday wasn’t terrible with a good breeze all day but today will be 10° warmer. It will all lead into a week where the forecast is saying a few days of 100+° and high humidity.

Good morning Spies on a clear and cool Sunday morning here in Michigan.

Temperatures heading to upper 80's today, and for me it will be a day to work on somethings around the house.

Went to the Woodward Dream Cruise yesterday, spent about 6 hours in the Royal Oak, MI area, and will post a link to some of the pictures of cars here, and in the Random Topic thread as well, so forum members can see them if they are interested.

Good Morning Spies..

A nice cool morning, windows open giving the A/C a break last night.  But not quite cool enough to deal with the hornets hive in the front bush.  I took a look when it got light enough and they were very active buzzing in and out of the hive so that will have to wait.

Played 18 last evening so no trip to the course today.  There are a  few projects to get into around here that will keep me busy after we get back from church.  I will find time to hit some wedge shots and putt here through the day between doing stuff so I will get my golf fix.

Good morning spies!

Been an action packed weekend so far. Concert Friday night was a lot of fun, had my PXG fitting yesterday morning (more on that here), attended a "Hot One's" themed birthday party in the afternoon (note: you're better off not trying all the sauces ), and this morning I have to weed-whack/edge before golf lesson and round of 18.

Good morning everyone!

There's not much going on here today after working yesterday. The wife and I will go pick up groceries which is our Sunday tradition. I'm also planning on taking my car through the wash since I've got to put it in the shop Wednesday for a problem with the drivers window.

Other than that, I'm just relaxing and drinking my coffee while keeping the dogs company.

Good morning all and happy Sunday. Wrapping up the weekend here and getting ready to head home soon. Looking forward to getting back and seeing my boys (and maybe sneaking in a nap )

Good morning all… Hoping for a relatively sedate Sunday here in South Texas (aka. Hells suburb). Had a slightly supernatural Saturday on the course yesterday. Started by getting some golfballs that were not afraid of the sun, heat. The first few holes went well; not only did I stay on the course, but I stayed on the hole that I was suppose to be playing. Then, whatever wind we had blowing stopped and the heat almost immediately became nearly unbearable. Continued to play, but after my 60 degree wedge died of sunstroke the rest of the clubs engaged in a work slowdown. Then the rest of the 60 degree’s wedge family decided they needed to quit and immediately enter a combination of grief and trauma therapy. I finally gave up and came home. 
   It is doubtful, very doubtful if the wedges ever recover enough to be able to see the light of day let alone to return to the site of the 60’s demise.

I plan to spend 2-3 minutes in somber reflection and remembrance of the wedges. Then will probably spend the rest of today recruiting/enticing another wedge group to come and stay in my all inclusive golf bag, at least for a fortnight or hopefully longer.

Haven't found time for this in a long while, but generally were surrounded by wildfires. A ton of BC is on fire, and all travel has been halted. A town that was almost wiped off the face 2 years ago is on fire again. The biggest city outside of Vancouver is on evacuation alert as embers are travelling across Okanagan Lake and starting remote fires. We had a heat wave at 41 degrees and s*** exploded, the temperatures have plummeted to around 12 degree currently, but they're all still way out of control. Golfed yesterday but the smoke isn't super enjoyable, might try again today if we get some prevailing winds. The first photo there was taken at 5pm. This climate is no joke

Stay safe! That fire map is scary as hell, you and all that are affected continue to be in my thoughts. Maybe the hurricane traveling up the west coast can bring some added relief.

I'd say a hurricane is about the only hope we have for putting these out. Thanks Ben! A lot of people in my area are displaced right now, and hotels are trying to accomodate those that are struggling. Imm not sure if you're familiar, but we just cancelled the Ironman triathlon here, never has happened in decades of operations, just to alleviate temp accommodations. The fire in the Northwest Territories in and around Yellowknife sent alot of evacuees to Kelowna just for it to light a blaze. It's surreal up here, that's for sure

Good morning all!

Had an awesome day at the BMW Championship yesterday. Couldn't have asked for better weather and was able to follow most of the groups I was interested in. As soon as I got through security and had my ticket scanned, I looked to the right and saw Rory McIlroy on the putting green. Not a bad start to the day. 

We started off following Rory and Sungjae Im for a few holes. It's amazing to see the crowds that Rory pulls. Even with Scottie Scheffler and Rickie Fowler paired together, Rory was still pulling the biggest crowds by far. We decided to post up on the par 3 sixth hole to watch a few groups come through. After Scottie and Rickie finished the hole, we followed them for a few more before dropping back again to follow Max Homa and Chris Kirk. 

Best shot of the day that I witnessed was Homa's DOD on the par 5 fifteenth. I can barely hit my driver from a tee let alone trying to hit a perfect butter cut off the fairway. I was glad to see him fight back to finish +1 for the day after that ugly triple bogey earlier.

All in all it was a great experience and I'm definitely looking forward to my next PGA event hopefully sooner than later.

What a mess.  Take care Taylor.  Having been a volunteer fireman while in MT, and participated in some WAY smaller wildfire incidents, I have so much respect for the guys and gals that do this full time.  It is a hellish job.  Godspeed to everyone affected .

... My winter snowbird pards live in Kelowna. He plays with me 4-5 days a week and she joins us 2 days a week. I haven't heard from them in a few days and hope they are safe. I hope the hurricane remnants send you guys some rain.
