I think I’m explaining to you what I mean . My thoughts were at the time were in a conflicted place with my swing and the perfection of it . I was inundated with information, swing thoughts , articles related to playing better golf , all the things we do to try and improve. It was a very frustrating time for me and in many areas of my life . Seeing Arnold Palmer’s commercial was about all the different PGA tour pros that had unique swings , including his own . The point Arnold was trying to make is that golf is complicated enough with us trying  to groove a “perfect swing” like the modern tour players . What we don’t realize is they have work out routines , stretching routines , and all kinds of individualized instruction that suits their positive swing techniques and help with other things that might inhibit them from playing to their potential. All I am saying is that as simplistic as that sounds ,I realized that I needed to improve upon my own swing and work on the things that I basically have ignored such as putting , short game and actually taking time to work on my game . To sum it up , I was striving to be something that I couldn’t give that amount of time to , I had to commit to being a husband , father and a locomotive engineer that took lots of my personal time too.  I don’t mean to write so much about but it made total sense and Arnold Palmer knew a few things about golf . I hope this helps and my apologies if it doesn’t . I’m playing my best golf now account of me being retired , having the time to improve and really put in the  quality time that it takes to play better . Incidentally, my putter became one of my strongest suits after historically it being my worst .

Good morning all. A wet and windy start to the day here so unlikely to get any golf in today  

On a positive note the Runner Golf putter I’m testing for MGS is arriving today so hoping to get an unboxing and initial impressions post done.

Prepping the course for a tournament this morning.   Schedule just Says 6-TT , which must be GC slang for "Til Told"

Good morning Spies on a no commute, TGIF cool and breezy Friday morning from the Motor City.

Opening day here today for the 5 - 1 Tigers who are off to a much better start than we have seen for a while.

No rain in the forecast for today, but with a high of 45 it may be a bit cold for those actually going to Comerica Park.

Working from home will allow me to keep it on in the background later.

Posted my "Introduction" and a little "Who am I" information in the Motocaddy Cart area, (https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/63746-testers-announced-motocaddy-m-series-carts/#comment-1042685), and if anyone has a specific questions feel free to reach out.

After a busy week, today should be much calmer and hopefully some golf this afternoon.  I have a benefit scramble I am playing in tomorrow and looking forward to playing a different course with actual greens.  Not sure the putter will know what to do on flat greens.

Good morning guys , I’m super stoked this morning , I’ll be joining friends of mine in just a few minutes at the Waffle House , eating some breakfast. We are playing Sugarloaf in Duluth , Georgia this morning . The PGA  ATT Classic was a big venue there for years . I’m typically not anxious playing anywhere , but for some reason I am today . It’s probably because the last time I played there my handicap was close to what it is now (6) and I shot an 88 . Of course, this course has very firm greens and putting can be tricky if you aren’t in the right spots . Also I tried too hard , so my mindset today is one shot at a time and enjoy the day !

Good morning all!

Unexpected day off yesterday due to not having power for about 12 hours due to the snow and wind coming through here. Thankfully the snow was lighter than expected only about 4 inches instead of the 12 that was predicted. Kids still enjoyed some snow and we had a bit of a snowball fight which was fun. Now just one more day until the weekend! The DF3 testing has me thinking, might want to try what all the fuss is about.

@Fongle I am so sorry to hear and hope you get some time to connect, @Dead Solid Bogey good luck with your medical trials and tribulations, and @sirchunksalot hope you are feeling better.

Good morning and a happy Friday to all of you spies!! This week has been dragging for me something fierce. Work is super slow so the time just is not moving by while I’m there.

Temperatures should return to the upper 50s and 60s starting today so golf should be able to return to my schedule hopefully tomorrow.

Time for some sausage and eggs before heading to work. Have a great day spies.

Good morning MGSpies on a first Friday of April with snow  which we definitely did not order here after our January bout.  Forecast for Monday is starting to look questionable for skies clear enough to watch the Total Solar Eclipse going directly overhead, we just don't get our hopes up too high locally for just about everything (Drinking town with a Sports problem) and hope the expected influx of tourists for the "once in a lifetime event" are not disappointed by only seeing streetlights come on under total cloud cover.  

Today after work is First Friday when I go with fellow Veterans to the Western NY National Cemetery for paying thanks to those who have gone on before us for their service to the nation.  Should be a productive day with the zero commute workday already in progress, can't wait to start the weekend!

Good morning fellow golfers,

Player 9 holes yesterday with my daughter. I was playing well, +3 through 5. When we came up to the 6th hole and twosome ahead of us let us play through. Completely sliced my drive and had a good laugh. Of course my daughter striped it right down the middle LOL.

Then this is where my game fell all apart. Not sure why it was in my head that they were watching, but I completely lost my game. 

Does this happen to anyone else? A group lets you play through and you get the yips?

Happy Friday all. Been a rather tough week for myself as well. There have been some pretty terrible lies being spewed about a good friend, dare I say a brother of mine and it’s been tough to see how it had affected him and the family. Have been praying for peace and reconciliation. That being said, playing in a scramble today to help my nephew’s university golf team today. I am in the upstate in SC. so it’s fairly cold but dry. Ready to try out the new mindset balls today.

I feel your pain, today is the first day this week it's not supposed to rain here. Not trying to play today because 1. the course is going to be soaked 2. I have meetings that last until 5pm 3. it's still a bit chilly; might slip over to the range to hit a bucket at lunch time though.

Friday morning is here to guide us into the weekend. 
  Got more guidelines ( choke chains ) on use of the hands / wrists.. Bottom line is put the least amount of stress possible on them. Avoid sharp, hard, an  abrupt contact when using them. Limit lifting or strain. 
  The female ruler wants to to go back in time and take in a couple of concerts. On the up front look at her demand it wouldn’t seem to be to bad of a time to go to both concerts. However,  there will be some sort of caveat, there always is. I just still have to find out or figure out what it or they are. 
   May you all enjoy golf this weekend and if not golf something that will provide some positive memories.

Was gonna try for 9 today but it’s looking like I’m going to the sim place we have close by for practice and testing. Hoping next week is better and can get real course time. Happy Friday! Having my morning cuppa. We have a wintery mix of snow and rain in CNY. The weather may push my run to tomorrow. My new driver delivered yesterday. I also got the course opening email yesterday. But weather is the gatekeeper now. I can’t wait to take my new driver out on the course. Now that Lent is over, I will be enjoying a roast beef sandwich on this Friday.

For the Veterans out there. My son texted me that he got 2 tickets to an Angels game for $9 through vettix.org. I will have to check it out. Given ticket prices these days it looks to be a great option.

With the eclipse heading our way, the news about heavy traffic in the area come Monday is all over. The electronic road signs in the area have been flashing alerts all week. My wife’s cousin lives in Watertown, NY. She told my wife they are expecting 160,000 eclipse watchers on Monday. I will be traveling to my backyard with my eclipse glasses.

Morning All,

 

I was doing some thinking last night about where my walking bag might be. I looked everywhere for it to include our storage above our garage that I knew we hadn't put anything up in. Either someone took it while we were packing, or it fell off the trailer it was on. so now I need to find a walking bag again. I'm going to stay in my budget. I don't need anything more than a top flite walking bag. I'll use it more this year while testing the shoes, but then maybe 2-3 times a year if that after that. Time to go looking for one.

If you have a Govx account, you can get discounted tickets through there as well. I got concert tickets for Welcome to Rockville in Florida in 2019 for half of what the original price was. I believe it was 300 bucks for 3 days that year, only paid 150. I'd say check them out as well.
