Early 7:20 tee time and humid morning noted dew still on the grass despite the sunshine at 9:30 finishing up the front 9, burned off by the time we got to the 16th fairway.  One par for the day with a chip on no-putt.  Good round for play but a few extra hits to bring it in over handicap.  Next time there I will pay more attention to the recommended tee numbers for which one to use based on driver distance and roll.

And here's the only time I'm going to lead the Tournament, when I can post early  4 over top of the leader board hahaha

Played the round of my life today. I had some pretty terrible holes (a Triple on a par 4 and a double on a par five). However, I then came back with four birdies. My new putter is killing it right now (See unofficial review of Cleveland HB Milled putter soon to come)! I hit only 29 putts. Also finally found my rhythm with my driver which lead to the incredible 361-yard drive (The hole is 425 - 64 yards left into the hole). Now the hole is slightly down-sloped so if this does not count I will retract but it was an incredible shot none the less.

46-41 for 87 from the forward tees. 9/14 fw, 5/18 gir, 32 putts. Lots of positives to take away besides the score. Played 14 of the holes like I would like. 

Unfortunately the 1st 4 holes included 3 double bogeys and I drove it in a lake on 16 leading to triple bogey.

Another great round. Started slowly with a couple of bogies and then had back to back birdies to get back on track. Short game and putting (29 putts for the round) saved a lot of strokes. Quite happy with my round.

Great way to start off the week.  I had been spending too much time fussing with mechanics and it had plagued my last few rounds today, was different.  Connecting off the tee, great approach shots and as an added bonus I was even on the par 3's (5) and -2 on par 5's (4), both of which I had putts for EAGLE....Par 4's caused some head aches at +6 but it is the move in the right direction.  My 298 drive was on hole 11, elevated tee to a slight dogleg right, into a breeze 316 was to the hole, my drive was on the apron!!!.  Now if I can just make a few more putts....

Well, you all kept me up with the Virtual Match Play tournament that I didn't get much sleep last night!  It showed in my (lack) of play today.  It was a bit embarrassing to say the least.  No one in my group played well.  You could just feel it on the first tee!  

I only hit 50% of the fairways (about 25% less than normal).  My 6% greens in regulations (1) was half of my normal.  Only two up and downs (one was a sandy par+).  Plus I had a three putt.   

At least I'm getting my bad shots out of my system before my trip tomorrow up to the Boston area.  A friend and I have tee times at Butter Brook Golf Club in Wesford and his home course of Needham Golf Club.  Getting my prep in for Match Play baby!

Longest drive "could" have been 323 but I cut the corner on a dog leg so don't really think that should count haha. Driver had a gasp or two of being alive but disappeared. Irons were awful. Putter was hot with book end front 9 1-putts of 24 and 15 feer respectively. Then preceeded to cool off hard to the tune of 3-2-3-2-3. Really frustrated with my game right now. Was only a month ago I was 10 strokes less.

Man,

7000-yard course with wet conditions was really rough. 

The long game had no run outs. Par 5s weren't reachable with great drives. 

Chucked a lot of irons in the first 9.

Managed to bring the score down a bit with back-to-back birdies. 

But overall, I need to go practice more.

1.6 putts per hole, best putting performance in a long time. 64% of fairways hit but that only led to 22.2% GIR. Approach game a bit off with smaller greens definitely brought down the GIR but also probably made the putting stats look a bit better as I was chipping to get up and down on most holes.

Combining two league nights. Played great the first night, and finished net -2 but got beat by net -4. Ended up winning on a forfeit at the first tee today and couldn't get my head in the game. Played to a net +5 . Hit a couple great shots, including a 25 mph wind aided 243yd 5i off the tee on 16. Misjudged the pitch shot and made bogey, so it goes.

Had 4 net birdies in the 1st 10 holes to score right around my expectations in spite of 20 putts on the front 9. 

The back 9 was opposite day. Sank 3 long(ish) putts and the rest 2 putt. After playing 1-12 with the same ball, I found OB on my tee shot on 13, approach on 14, and drive on 17.

Finished 43-49 in spite of 9/14 fw 5/18 gir 35 putts. Similar stats to the round I scored mid 80s earlier in the week.

Finding inventive ways to remain a bogey golfer.
