Hi all:

Golf season upon us (ground is thawing in Ottawa, Canada). Glad to find this forum. Looking forward to poking around and reading all the good threads.

Witb:

Stealth Plus Driver: Looking at a change thinking Darkspeed but am going for a fitting to see if any improvement on off centre strikes.

3 wood - Stealth 2

Putter - New LAB DF3 incoming

Welcome. Congrats on your incoming DF3. I’m dying to do the same. Did you get a fitting from LAB? If so I’d love to know more about it. 

I’m from Eastern Quebec. No fitters around here sadly. I’m going to be in Gatineau later this spring and I was planning to schedule a fitting session for a driver and hybrids and also with LAB as I believe they have a location in Ottawa. Is it so? Can you recommend a good place to get fitted for woods around Ottawa?

JC the remote fitting process for LAB is super easy. Go to https://labgolf.com/remote-fitting/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqdqvBhCPARIsANrmZhNBWDonwaMn5BDVFhnQQd3B6jYTONI9uRJaox4AlQFu2fLUpwnGZ0UaAogJEALw_wcB

I did it twice to see if results would be the same and they were both times. Bit different if you want armlock or broomstick but they walk you through the process. Shipping to Canada was really expensive so I found out you can custom order through Golftown and you don't pay shipping. Will post pics when it comes.

Awesome! Yeah shipping and import charges well they suck!

Will be great to hear what you think when you get it. I lot of LAB converts here and I think the DF3 will be another popular putter among membership.

I saw on the LAB website that there is fitting for their putter at the Golf Town in Ottawa on Terminal Ave. Do you know anything about it?

Also what made you choose the DF3 over the other ones?

I saw LAB putters there but didn't enquire about fitting as I was already fitted remotely.  I chose DF3 over Mezz 1 because it is their trademark model and everything I read said that it is the most forgiving. All models are lie angle balanced and should stay on path so it is really personal preference on aesthetic more than anything.  I liked the green and the fact it had the ability to pick up balls as well...though I fully expect to drain everything now 🙃.

I see that you game a LAB Link.1. I will soon be buying a new putter to replace my very old Odyssey. I’m very interested in the LAB offerings but I don’t know which model. I’m planning to get fitted for it before deciding. I have played with a blade forever. My question to you is: why did you opt for the Link.1 over a mallet option? From what I read everywhere, the new DF3 is the most stable. Could you be kind enough to give me your thoughts on that.

Certainly. The main reason I chose the Link was simply because I prefer the look of a blade, and that's pretty much it. At the time, the DF3 was not an option, but the Mezz and DF2.1 were certainly the more stable options to go with. I just wasn't a huge fan of the looks. But, now that I've been playing the Link I am really anxious to roll the DF3. I'll leave a link to the LAB reviews below if you'd like to hear some thoughts from other certified LAB rats.
