  1. Having done the job before this group, I can't tell you what a great job @GolfSpy MPR, @STUDque, @StrokerAce, and @Golfspy_CG2 have done. They've taken this space to places we could never have imagined. Rob is right, this isn't a forever job. And I'm certain the new blood will maintain all of the things we love about this forum as well as bring new, fresh ideas to the table - just as Enrique and Jason did. Onward and upward, and thank you for a job well done.

  2. Appreciate the kind thoughts and praise guys. Undeserved, as I just worked to help steer the ship. Kudos go out to @STUDque. He did so much work behind the scenes it's hard to even comprehend. He kept the forum running like a well-oiled machine and when things went off-kilter he spent his own personal free time to get it back up and running. I wish you all knew how much work he did to keep things operational as well as both bring exciting tests and challenges to the members and manage them at the same time. Thank you doesn't seem enough having been on the inside looking out. He left things in a very good place and I will sincerely miss working with him. As you can tell I haven't gone anywhere (even started a new thread under my previous nom-de-plume today!) but I might not be as active as I once was. Thanks to all of you; you all were a great group of members to work for; the forum is yours and we simply worked for you to help make it great. You guys are what make it the place it is and your respect for each other shines through. Best of luck to @GolfSpy MPR and @Golfspy_CG2... I'm hoping they won't need it. On to the next adventure!

  3. For those of you who have been active members here the past couple years, I'm sure you've come to know our Staff/Moderation team of Myself and @STUDque as Co Directors mainly tasked with keeping things running, and hopefully we have done that. @StrokerAce and @GolfSpy MPR came on board two years ago and have been a tremendous asset in doing so many things behind the scenes you can't imagine. From sorting through sometimes 3,000 Testing Applications to answering countless angry emails ranging from the US only requirements to "Why didn't I get picked" types. As a wise man meaning @GolfSpy Barbajo once told me, Forum Moderators are not designed to be forever jobs. They are generally something we do that allows us to combine our hobby with work and maybe have some fun times along the way, and sooner or later we move on. That said, there will be some changes of the staff going into 2021. I think a big Thank You and show of appreciation for Enrique and Jason are in order for their time served on staff here. They have both been instrumental in so many parts of the forum. I truly have enjoyed working along side them. And I hope they both stay involved in the forum. Michael and I will be remaining on staff and there will be an addition announced at some point soon, I'm sure. I look forward to making 2021 on the Forum another great year of interacting with everyone and continuing to make it the best Golf Forum in the business!

  4. Thank you Enrique and Jason, fantastic job!!! I know the other members of this awesome staff will miss you and well as we members, but we all know when it is time. Good luck in all that you do and I know you both will still be offering your insights and opinions, we all look forward to seeing them. This is hands down the best golf forum I have ever seen and I thank you and all of the mods for the exceptional job each of you have done in shaping MyGolfSpy.

  5. @STUDque and @StrokerAce , appreciate the work you all put moderating the forums. As a former forum admin, I know how thankless the work can be, but you both had a hand in making MGS the BEST golf forum on the interwebz!

  6. I’ve been on a LOT of forums for all sorts of hobbies over the past 15 years or so, and MGS is by far and away one of the absolute best moderated ones. A lot of that credit goes to folks like @STUDque & @StrokerAce. It’s said that when you don’t notice the mods, it’s because they’re doing their job, and that was certainly the case here. Congrats on a job well done fellas, and thank you for all you did here to help us out.

  7. @STUDque, @StrokerAce my hats off to the both of you for the wonderful job you've both done here on the forum. I can't fathom the amount of behind the scenes work the moderators put in here, but I do know you've helped the site run smoothly and that's a testament to how well you've done. I have faith the moderators will find great successors to you, but you've both set the bar high. Thank you.

  8. Ok, this may be the second most random review next to @Thin2win's review of those tees. I am going to make this review short and quick. The tool I am reviewing is this: https://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-speed-clamp/p/gw0111/ What does it do? It clamps down your shaft when you are doing club work, for example, when you are changing grips. Why is it better than a bench vise with the cheap rubber shaft holder? With the vise and cheap rubber shaft holder, you have to tighten and loosen, and if you didn't tighten enough, the shaft can slip, if you overtighten, its possible to damage a shaft (graphite). With the speed clamp, just pull the handle and it will stop when it has reached the proper tightness, no risk of damaging. And then push it back up and you can pull the shaft back out. No adjustments needed for different shaft sizes. Downsized? On the expensive side, about $100. Also, this may or may not be considered a downside, but you should bolt it down to a workbench. There probably are other ways to mount, but bolting down will prove the most stability. Seriously, this thing is life changing for golf club building work, i am not joking.

  9. Great job @StrokerAce and @STUDque!! You will be missed in this capacity, but hopefully not missed as contributors. The job you've done with @GolfSpy MPR and @Golfspy_CG2 is incredible keeping this forum running like a well-oiled machine. Thank you for your service!! When I came here 8+ years ago, I had never been part of an online community before so I was just checking it out. If it had been like others I've seen, I would have left. It just keeps getting better every year, thanks to the people here and the mods that run it. I'm positive that any new staff will continue in this great tradition.

  10. It stands to reason that a place as special as the MyGolfSpy forum would have the moderation team to match. @STUDque and @StrokerAce (gosh those handles look strange w/o the prefix) - you have done a masterful job during a pivotal growth period and definitely earned the R&R. Although I sincerely hope to see you both slide right back into the fun, value and community that you’ve worked tirelessly to provide for the rest of us. I am also certain that we are in steady hands with @Golfspy_CG2 and @GolfSpy MPR leading the way from here. Proud as I am to be a part of this place, you fellas should all be even more-so for what you have done to help make it the best around. Thank You for everything you do as a team!

  11. Thank you @StrokerAceand @STUDque. I'm still very much a newb here, especially compared to the seasoned veterans that are heaping the praise on you in this thread, but from my vantage point that praise is very deserved. You've fostered an online environment that somehow feels almost like family, where the members here treat each other with respect and with a genuine desire to help each other out and help each member get better. That's a very rare thing and a heck of an accomplishment in and of itself, on top of all the other accomplishments that have been echoed in this thread. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. I for one am grateful...we're all becoming better golfers through the knowledge-sharing you've enabled. @GolfSpy MPR and @Golfspy_CG2, a HUGE thanks to you as well. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this group.

  12. Thank you so much for the hard work. This is a forum that flat out works because of all your hard work. Even though someone who recently really got involved it is clear the culture of respect and dencency has been built by you. I know the MSG community cannot thank you enough and will continue to thrive thanks to the work you have done and the foundation this has laid for the future. Three cheers for @GolfSpy MPR @STUDque @Golfspy_CG2 @StrokerAce

While we're in Ohio quarantined so we can see our new grandson on Christmas, I took the opportunity to walk our course for exercise. I saw that they're draining one of the water hazards and are going to fill it in. There have got to be thousands of golf balls lying in the mud! This is just a small sample. Got Problems?

Some people I work with piss me off greatly. Snows in the forecast and we had a slough of people call off because of it and I got mandated. s***** thing is I had to call people and make arrangements for people to come to my house and feed the puppies who were probably starving and needing food and water.

    Got Problems?

... It is amazing how ignorant people can be. Along a similar line of thinking I went through a severe snow storm in Tulsa on my way to Phoenix. Woke up to about 6" of wet icy snow and had to start driving around 20 mph for a few hours until I got out of the worst of it and the interstate became normally drivable. IU have an all wheel drive G80 so not terrible in snow but I had to creep along because conditions were so bad. Passed by way too many pick ups going 50+ along with 18 wheelers that I saw in ditches down the road. Probably 25 or so down in the median or off the side of the road and hopelessly stuck. People and snow ... sigh.

  30. @StrokerAce and @STUDque. Thank you for all that you've done here on the forums and behind the scenes. I remember when they asked for applications for the positions and when I read through it, I was thinking, nah, that's not me. But, you both stepped up and did an absolutely tremendous job. Thanks again fellas.
