Mission successful. Wife got a phone call and was in the back of the house. I saw Fed Ex delivering across the street. I sprang into "FLASH" mode. Let the dog out back so he wouldn't go crazy when someone came to the front door. Open the garage and met him in the driveway. Closed the garage and opened my thing of beauty. Put it in my golf bag and tossed the box. 

What we won't do for golf equipment!

And it just keeps getting better! a second Fed Ex truck pulled up with a delivery for someone else in the family. My wife yelled out that there was a Fed Ex truck delivering. I said, well it's not for me! All true!

Picked up my Stealth DHY 4h today at the pro shop; paid all cash, off SWMBO's radar...

Then went and played, and never had a shot that called for it, so I hit one scabbed Pro V1 from the range after the round...flushed it; solid little cut.  Looking forward to having this in the bag this season.

Not exactly cutting edge tech, but it’s a cult favorite probably second only to the V Steel and maybe the RBZ among Taylormade FWs, so there’s that. It’s also the last TM club I’ve played (had a 15* back when they came out 7 years ago).

As I’ve said before, I’m not a good FW player, so I’m not looking for a game changer here. I’ll probably use this no more than once or twice a round, so if it can give me reasonable distance and a high ball flight, which it should at 16.5*, it will serve it’s purpose.

Curious, what was the buy it now price b4 your offer?

Fujikura came out with the Ventus HB specifically for hybrids a couple years ago.

Build this club out in the custom cart on the TM website and it will come to $417.  But, they have a military discount, and if you buy it through a military course pro shop and you're Active Duty, you can get the military discount AND avoid paying tax.  Got it for $350 even.

Yeah, still wasn't cheap, but outside of the occasional tub of creatine, protein, or pre workout, I don't spend money on anything else.  I joke about keeping it off the radar with the wife, but honestly it wouldn't be the end of the world...just don't want to deal with the grief.  

And if you're not familiar with the DHY, give them a look.  @chisagwill tell you, crazy versatile club.  Maybe a few yards shorter than a more traditional hybrid, but if you gap it right in your bag it's handy.  I've had one off and on a couple times now, (hopefully) this one will be around for a while.

Been so busy lately I haven't been able to post!

Placed my order for the 10.5 degree Paradym Triple Diamond driver the other day, just waiting for delivery to the pro shop. Very excited to have that for this season after my fitting two weekends ago.

Putter is safe, wedges are safe, irons are safe, 4 hybrid is safe, (new) driver is safe. I'm tempted to go hit the Paradym wood line and maybe jump on one if I can find an early season cast off on eBay...

I'm kinda in a quandary because I'm liking the Otto phlex so much that I'm going to stop buying anymore clubs, and sell maybe 3 sets of irons and 3-4 drivers but keep looking for a new driver head hmmmm....

I checked the swing weights and there is now point 3 difference between the SIM and TS3 after I added A 6 gram weight to the SIM head, total weight for the SIM 344 grams an TS3 318 grams. I'll compare the 2 drivers in a few days bad weather here, plus the playing length is almost equal ....
