Rick, you read my mind… I was looking at Tour Edge this morning. I know nothing about their clubs though. I’ve heard some guys say they love them, but I’ve also heard that although very forgiving, they aren’t the longest out there? Which model do you have, and what are your thoughts? If this 6 works out, I’d take a flyer on one of their hybrid sets maybe 7-PW? I think they were $99 per on TGW, but I’d be fine with an older and cheaper version if RBG has them. LeftyMatt89 920
I pulled the trigger on an upgrade in the driving iron department. I am moving from my 716 tmb to a t200 utility with an AD DI 105x hybrid shaft. Popular Post RDel90 252
Just went for a driver fitting at my local Club Champion. Current setup is Ping G400 Max 10.5 deg (set to 9.6) with Oban Devotion 6 shaft in stiff. I tend to have a high launch, high ball flight and steep descent angle with this setup so maybe at best I get 10 yds roll out. Been averaging about 245 carry and 255 total. Pretty much neutral 0 deg AoA. SS avg 107mph. Tested the Rouge Triple Diamond which brought spin down only a little. TSi3 not too forgiving for me with wider dispersion but solid strikes were nice. Stealth Plus 8deg but hated the appearance of the clubhead at address and just couldn't get comfortable with it so didn't see any noticeable improvements. The Winner: Ping G425 LST dialed down to 7.5 deg and set to draw with Mitsubishi C6 Blue Stiff shaft. Dropped my spin and launch enough to pick up about 15yds on average. Good dispersion and very forgiving for me so mishits didn't have a huge distance penalty. Hit a few with 260 carry 280 total distance. Fingers crossed it actually arrives in 3-4 weeks like I'm told!! 10 Quote Bag: Sun Mountain 4.5 14 way Driver: Ping G425 LST 9 deg (set to 7.5 deg/"big minus") Mitsubishi C6 Blue Stiff 55g Grip JumboMax Ultralite X-Small 3W: Ping G410 14.5 deg (Set to 13.5 deg) Mitsubishi C6 Blue Stiff 65g Grip JumboMax Ultralite X-Small Hybrids: 19 deg (Set to 18) and 22 (set to 21) deg Ping G410 hybrid Mitsubishi C6 Black Stiff 80g Grip JumboMax Ultralite X-Small Irons: 5-PW Irons PXG 0211 KBS C Taper Tour 120 Stiff -0.25" Grip JumboMax Ultralite X-Small Wedges: 50-07 S-grind, 54-08 D-grind and 58-12 deg D-grind Mizuno T22 Denim Copper Grip JumboMax Ultralite X-Small Putter: PXG Gen2 Spitfire Armlock 37.5" SuperStroke Flatso 3.0 17" Game Ball: New Gamer Maxfli Tour CG
bens197 13,016
Short story, bought a 54.10 S grind SM9 wedge. I tried the MG3 54 SB and even though I looove the looks of the new TM wedges, the SM9 just did it better. Yanked the shaft and it’s currently in the basement waiting for the modus 120 to cure. Now what to do with my 60. I may keep the MG2…the 56 is probably going up for sale. 7 Quote Titleist TSI3 LAGolf DJ 65 5 TaylorMade SIM2 3 wood Fujilkura Ventus Blue 7-X Mizuno HMB MP20 3i Nippon Modus 3 120S Mizuno Pro 223 4-P Nippon Modus 3 115X Vokey SM8 50, SM9 54 & 60 Nippon Modus 3 120s L.A.B. blackngold_blood 7,068
I have received my Accra RPG Tour shaft today and it’s currently curing on the rack. Since my last post about the Triple Diamond I have ordered a weight kit from eBay for it. I also just bought a Srixon F85 3 wood head. The PXG 0211 3 wood experiment ended quickly. The f85 5 wood will have to be pried from my cold dead hands so hopefully the 3 is just as good. Will be purchasing an elements chrome 7f4 post-haste for it. If the Triple Diamond and F85 3 wood are keepers, my bag is set except for putter. I’m not in love with the mini gunboat but have yet to decide on what I want for sure. I’m leaning towards an Evnroll ER8.3 if I can find one at the right price. 7 Quote What is in my Bag Boy Revolver Driver: PXG Gen2 0811x 10.5* set to small + with a VA Composites Nemesys 55s @ 44.75" Fairway: F85 5 wood with a UST Elements Chrome 7F5 @ 41.5" Irons: Testing the Titleist T200 irons 4-W2 with Project X LZ 5.5 shaft -1/2" and 1* Up Wedge: Titleist SM7 56* with Project X LZ 5.0 shaft Putter: Custom Futura X5 flow neck with a UST Frequency Filtered shaft -1" with a SS wristlock grip

Popular Post PMookie 17,649
Ordered the combo set of Srixon ZX5 and ZX7. Went 4-6 in ZX5, 7-PW in the ZX7, and they’re going on Recoil 95g shafts. The pain in my wrists has continued to get worse after range sessions and rounds, and when I’m even just practicing 1/2 swings I get issues in my elbows, so going lighter to take the swing weight down a couple notches and adding graphite to help reduce the shock. ole gray 17,902
I picked up a Callaway Rogue Max driver yesterday after an hour hitting balls with different shafts, heads, etc. I went back today and hit some more balls with the LS version just to confirm my findings. The regular max won the battle with my old driver's 44.5 Project X Evenflow regular flex shaft. Today I cut the shaft that came with the driver down to my playing length so it should work well.
