Check out The Grint, it not only has GPS but it's one of the better score keeping / handicap apps.

I use Swing x Swing, pretty accurate and keeps some stats like score, putts, handicap, avg to par. Also if you have an apple watch it will make your watch a GPS watch

I also use The Grint, but only for handicap purposes. For GPS and scoring I use Golfpad, which is an extremely good GPS system. They also have tags a la Gamegolf, for $99.

Give 18Birdies a look, it is a GPS view, with a scorecard and ability to save your rounds.  Best of all it is free.

The Grint works awesome. Like it was mentioned above it also serves as a place to get a certified handicap. GPS has worked really well in the past. Occasionally there are times where it may be a little off. Works well with the apple watch.

While we're on the subject of GPS, has anyone used the GPS watches, such as the Garmin Approach or what have you?

I have tried them all. I use the Grint frequently and I paid to be a Pro member. I like it for the handicap calculation, but recently I have noticed the GPS accuracy has been sub-par. Also, it's a small detail, but the app has not been updated to render properly on the larger iPhone Plus series of devices. (I am a "details" guy) I highly recommend 18Birdies for GPS tracking. It is very easy to use and appears to provide spot-on distances on every course I have played. In addition, the Grint has an Apple Watch app, 18Birdies does not. I can't stand wearing a watch while golfing, so I can't provide any feedback on the watch app.

1013 - I know you are looking for an app but....I don't use an app. I just don't like golf GPS on my phone. Tried it and didn't like it.

I use a Skycaddie SGX (discontinued) that I've had for several years. It has several features but I only use it for Front, Middle, Back yardages. There are other cheaper GPS devices that provide the same numbers with no annual fee. The IZZO Swami is one. Simple.

I use GPS and a LRF on the course. This combination works best for me.

I use a neo ghost GPS. It is small enough to fit in my picket and provides some hazard distances. Nice thing is that they are going for $50 now.
