I had a nice drive, then put my approach shot in the green side bunker. This bunker is a deep bunker when I stand at my ball I cannot see the hole. I opened my 58* Zipcore and thought, it is a high bunker so I must have a complete follow through. Then I executed the shot. The ball flew out of the bunker landing just short of the front hole location then lipped out of the hole stopping 1 inch from the cup on the backside. Easily tapped in for par. Nice! M. Parsons
It got pretty windy in my round on Saturday, and thankfully I had some wind help on a par 5...my drive went 350 yards according to Arccos, and I had 170 to the pin for my second shot. The unfortunate part is that I was laying in the hardpan, and had some tree trouble, after 2 chunks and still in the trees, I had 60 to the pin for my 4th shot and pitched it just over the back...after a chip and 2 putts, that wound up being my worst hole of the day...my one and only double. sirchunksalot and GolfSpy_SHARK 2 Quote In my BR-D4 6-way King F9 set to 9*, Tour length Hzrdus Smoke Black 6.0 S-flex, with GolfPride MCC +4 mid-size 3W - 13*, UST Mamiya 65 Gold S-flex, with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G SIM UDI 2-iron - 18*, Mitsubishi Diamana Thump 100 X-flex, with GolfPride MCC Align ZX5 4-5 & ZX7 6-PW, Modus3 120 Tour S-flex, +1/2", with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G - SM8 Tour Chrome, 50.08F - 54.10S - 58.12D, DG Wedge Flex, with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G Custom Fit 35" ER6 Red at 68 degree lie angle and 4 degrees of loft MTB-X NX7 Pro Slope Tracked by #WPS
GolfSpy_SHARK
Thanks @B.Boston for capturing my only few good shots of the day! The 3 wood is why I keep this thing in the bag! Its so hot off the face and I know where it is going straight or draw and I love it. This could have rolled on the green on a short par 4 if it werent for the thick rough And on the last hole all carry 268 with the driver. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
So more of several shots of the day for me. first was a nine iron down hill over water. knocked it to 15 feet missed the birdie next is my best drive of the day. had a little bit of a head wind and think I caught it toe of center and high. lots of ohs and ahs number three was my second shot with my super hybrid. best ball I’ve hit off the deck with it and followed after a sky ball drive. Ended up three putting for bogey if I had to pick one this was my true shot of the day. Faded a drive near a side hill and was about 175 out. Pured a 6i to 10ft and made the bird last one was total luck. Arccos caddie told me this was my best tee strategy. No idea why. I was full of fear I’d lose it in one of the ponds. I aimed over the corner of the trees on the left and faded it to that lovely position ncwoz, sirchunksalot, M. gavinski91
Played the round of my life yesterday, but the obvious candidate for shot of the day was on hole 6. The fairway on this par 5 is basically split in half by bunkers, forcing me to club down off the tee. I went with my 3hy, but put more fade on it than I wanted to and ended up in the trees. I had no look down the fairway, so I was forced to take my lumps and hope that I could get my approach shot close enough to the pin to save par. Unfortunately I overcooked my approach shot and ended up in a waste bunker/drainage area (used to be sand, still shows up as that on Arccos) behind the green, about 4 feet below green level. The ball was nestled down in deep rough and clover, and I was playing across the narrow side of the green, forcing me to open up the face on my lob wedge and play the Phil-style flop shot. I hit a perfect flop shot that landed 4 feet onto the green, bounced a few times, and then slowly rolled right into the center of the cup. I even got some cheers and applause from the balconies of the condos next to the green! ncwoz
League tonight, I had about 130 to the flag with some wind hurting and off the left. I was in the fairway, but blocked out by some trees to get to the green. I didn't have much of a chip out to the fairway, or much of an option to punch something low either. Decided I'd go with a 30 yard slice, and figured if it went straight I'd likely just end up in some bunkers. Opened up the stance, ball forward a hair, channeled my inner Tiger and let it rip! Landed on the left side of the green with a ton of side-spin, and spun all the way to the right side of the green. Just how we drew it up! M. dlow206
My favorite shot of the day was a simple tee shot on 17. One of the course maintenance guys parking his cart about 220 yards out from the tee, but right on the right side of the fairway. And he was raking the bunker not really paying attention. For some reason, I had super high confidence after playing well most of the day. I aimed down the center of the fairway (just left of his cart parked in the fairway) and I hit it basically right on the line I intended, slightly left of his cart and flew it over. My best shot (series of shots) was on hole 9, par 3, over water. Hit my iron just a little thin (not like an ultra thin line driver or anything) and ball landed on the green and had enough spin to hold on the green. Had about a 20 foot putt for birdie and nailed it. This was all while i was already thinking about the fact that I had a chance to score my lowest 9 hole score ever. c0ldspark, MattF, M. Man, you really bomb your driver!!! Nice shots! I'm trying to get mine up there, but I typically don't get over three 300+ yd drives in one round. sirchunksalot 1 Quote In my BR-D4 6-way King F9 set to 9*, Tour length Hzrdus Smoke Black 6.0 S-flex, with GolfPride MCC +4 mid-size 3W - 13*, UST Mamiya 65 Gold S-flex, with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G SIM UDI 2-iron - 18*, Mitsubishi Diamana Thump 100 X-flex, with GolfPride MCC Align ZX5 4-5 & ZX7 6-PW, Modus3 120 Tour S-flex, +1/2", with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G - SM8 Tour Chrome, 50.08F - 54.10S - 58.12D, DG Wedge Flex, with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G Custom Fit 35" ER6 Red at 68 degree lie angle and 4 degrees of loft MTB-X NX7 Pro Slope Tracked by #WPS

Then I had shoulder issues, was hitting it 250 max for a few years. Last year I was not anywhere near 300. This year… it seems I got my technique back. Headed home back to Michigan at the end of the month, going to stop by my old stomping grounds and get fitted for a driver, and probably have them take a look at the lofts and lies. Keeper905
Shot of the day was on the first Par 5. Hit a clean drive 310 yards dead down the center. I was so thrilled. Unfortunately it didn't last long as I put my next shot over the green, chipped on, 2 putted......ARGHHH!!!! From 100 - 0 in a matter of minutes. Think I got into my own head and got ahead of myself thinking about an Eagle putt.
