Handicap question

So my index sits at 9.3. My club course handicap is 11. If your club handicap is 0-9.9 you can't take more than a double bogey on any hole. If it is 10-19.9 you can't take more than a 7 on a hole. So where do I fall given my index is 9.3 but my course handicap is 11?

If it is based on your club handicap then you would fall into the 10-19.9. You course handicap is what you would look at. Your regular handicap is an estimate on an average course. It is not the definitive number. The definitive number is you course handicap.

Wilson Staff C300 9.0* Fujikura Pro 58 stiff

Callaway Rogue 3W Mitsubishi Diamana D+ LTD 80 stiff

Mizuno MP-18 MMC FLI-HI 2 iron UST Mamiya Recoil 95 stiff

Ping I200's 4-W Aerotech Steelfiber I110 CW stiff

Ping Glide 52* and 58* stiff

GB13 is right, ESC is based on your course handicap.  Its possible that you could be a 9 handicap if you played forward tees, and 11 from back tees, and have different ESC requirements on different days.

Therefore it makes more sense to differentiate between handicap and index.

At index 15 on my home course:

Golden tees, 6500 yards, slope 131/CR 71,4 would allow me 16 strokes

White tees , 6900 yards, slope 136/CR 73,5 would allow me 19 strokes

Black tees, 7305 yards, slope 137/CR 75,5, would allow me 21 strokes

And for some stupid reason, our club is making us play the championship from black... those are the same tees used in 2012 by Stenson, DJ, Bubba, Kaymer, Poulter, Olesen, Colin, Ogilvy, Jimenez and co... I'll be expecting shooting north of 120...

As the guys above have stated, it is on course handicap. That can change from different sets of tees and your maximum allowable score can as wellScreenshot_20180809-080553.jpeg

This isn't quite correct.  Based on an index of 15.0, and based on the slopes, you get:

131    17

136    18

137    18

Please double check me at:  https://www.usga.org/course-handicap-calculator.html

The numbers you've listed would make sense if players in a competition were playing off of different tees.  The various handicaps from each tee are adjusted based on the difference in the Course Ratings.  I'm not sure why they choose to lower the Golf Tee handicap, but the gaps between the handicaps are correct.  If you leave the Gold Handicap at 17, you get 17, 20, and 22.

Oops, and belatedly I see that you're in Germany, I'm not sure exactly how the European system works.  What I posted above is based on USGA rules.
