My wife's philosophy is you have to keep the original box for a year just in case you need to send the product back. Which of course never get thrown away - we must have 5 years worth of original boxes.

That’s my War Dept plan also. After a month or 2 when it looks like the purchase is a keeper the “saved” pkg disappers🤭.
