What's the difference between waiver and free agent as it pertains to this system?  I thought any on the "players" list were free agents and available to bid on?  Does a player who we've selected to "drop" as part of our bid for another player go into waiver status?  They would not show up on the player list until the auction is complete - correct?  Please don't tell me I've had three cracks at Tiger and didn't know it 😆

Non claimed players go to free agent status after clearing waivers on Tuesday morning allowing anybody to pick them up at no cost immediately. Anybody dropped will go to waivers which is the players you bid on. Free agents are exactly as the state free.

What is "clearing waivers" and how do we tell the difference on the players list (presuming it's the only list)?

There are certain times when waivers are processed like Tuesday morning. Once that time passes any non claimed player "clears waivers".

And Wednesday morning for players dropped as part of Tuesday’s waivers. And Thursday for players dropped Wednesday.

The way I tell is when I try to add to my roster if asks me for a bid the player is on waivers, if they get added they were a free agent.

They’re supposed to be labeled differently in the players list (yellow + for waivers and green + for FA) but our multiple player situation is causing a glitch in the matrix. I reported that to Fantrax.

As to the difference, FA can be added immediately and waivers have to give everyone a fair shot to add. @cnosil did a pretty good job explaining how they end up on each list.

The easiest way to tell the difference now is to filter your results of the players list. Amongst other things, you can limit it to FA or waivers only.

Hey stud when do players go from free agent to waivers officially for the week? I tried to pick up Schwartzel this morning at 6:15 but he was already on waivers. For reference he isn’t owned by any team yet.

It’s 5 minutes before event start. For regular events in the US, Fantrax considers this 6am (5:55 lock).

Thank you sir! All my trading cost me a player for this event. Maybe I better stop!

Did not know this - I'll have a looked at that. So I have missed three chances at Tiger... dammit!

None of my guys ever play in these damn tournaments. I figured guys like Wolff, Landry and Poston would be playing more often. Fantasy golf is hard.

That is the challenge of fantasy golf.  You may have great players,  but they don't play every tournament.

Or in my case, ANY tournaments. Jeez!

Hey, I’m the guy with ZERO players playing this week! My only week with a full roster was the Phoenix Open, I’ve had 2 for the AmEx, and now none this week... I’m hoping some of my players will start playing again... 😬😆

Thanks, you're probably the only person I'm going to beat this week haha

I don’t think there is anyone in the world who can help you... 😜

Surprisingly I really liked my team right now. I would still like to get Poston, Wolff, or Morikawa but I can’t complain with my top 4 of Brooks, Rahm, Casey, Ancer.

By the way any interest in trading Poston?

Looks like a strategy is to load up with 4 stallions and 4 pack mules - the latter to be routinely traded each week for someone playing in the event. I'm still not clear on how players move between status monikers but this being my rookie season, still much to learn.
