DQOTD: Which Shoe is Bigger?

Recommended Posts

Read the MGS Spikeless Shoe guide and I REALLY want to buy some Payntr 002’s - but they’re not in any store near me, and I don’t know what size to order. The last column gives some guidance but I’m not sure what “True To Size” and  “1/2 Size Big” mean? I wear a 12 in all Adidas shoes (golf and running) - should I order an 11.5 or a 13 in Payntr (there’s no 12.5)? I have never bought a size 13 shoe in any brand, ever!

I read the article and the comments but I did not see an explanation REAL LIFE FIT?

[Payntr does not do free return exchanges for anyone inclined to suggest that]

True to size means a 9 is a 9 whereas 1/2 size is 9 is a 9.5.

The problem I’ve come across is that true to size doesn’t mean much unless comparing shoes within the same brand. Like Nike some jordan shoes run true to Nike size and some run big or small.

This is one thing I hate about buying clothes online that I can’t try on or have no experience with. I use Nike for all my baselines because they are what I wear most.

Based on the picture I would say that the adidas would run big compared to adidas and the payntr run the same as other adidas

I asked the man who would know.   Here was Harry’s answer:  he wears a size 9 in US and 8 in UK.   He wears an 8.5 in Adidas and since Payntr is true to size he would wear a 9.
